  1. I don't have this set, but from the many photos I've seen it's a very good set, apart from the colour scheme. I don't like white+red combinations in LEGO Castle, looks like a hospital to me...
  2. If you're still interested: 1024 x 768 and IE8.
  3. Thanks for the review! The set is very good and detailed. I hate the stickers, though.
  4. Welcome to EB! Castle and Pirates are my favorite LEGO lines too.
  5. That was funny! Anyway, female minifigs are cool, but these are magnets... I'm not very interested in magnets.
  6. Thanks for the review! This is a cool set, I will buy it. I have the 6020 Magic Shop, so I have a blue wizard with a white beard. But this one is cool as well, the colour scheme is nice! I live in Bulgaria and the Castle sets are still missing from the shops! I hope to be able to buy some of these sets soon!
  7. This is great! I've always loved Invision Power Board, it's the best forum software! I'm glad you're using the latest version now! (I'm the admin of a forum, we use IPB 2.2.2, yours is much better now!)
  8. Same here! LEGO.com boards are not for us, AFOLs. They are for little kids.
  9. This really is the best place for adult fans of LEGO. I'm back after month of not posting (but I was still reading the news on the frontpage, like probably many other users do!).
  10. Yes, I miss them too. It was a very good idea for free. It's cheaper and easier for LEGO not to do this....
  11. Thanks for the nice review! I love the black + green of the Dragons, and the dragon itself. On the other hand, I think that white + red is horrible, I hate this combination for a Lego minifig, yet alone a whole Castle fraction! Yes, I know it has been used before, example: the sets from 1995 - that was during my "dark age".
  12. Looks cool and I love the Green Dragons colour scheme, but no many of you here speak of low quality?? For my entire life LEGO has been a high quality toy, that's why it's not a cheap one! I'm going to buy this, I guess. There's something else I don't like - the packaging of these "battle packs". I want them in a standart box, like the sets of the 80's or 90'! I want the box, not this wierd plastic "shield" you can't use to store stuff in it after you open it for the first time. I hope you get what I mean. I would love to see bigger sets with the Dragon Knight. Like a bigger castle :)
  13. First of all, thanks for the review! I think that I'm going to buy this set. I like the green dragon knights. OK, The "prison tower" itself is not that great... But it's still a good structure. I love bases and forts. Classic Castle sets are still better, but this set is good in its own right. I have to agree with most of your points, man. This set is supposed to be the homebase of the Dragon Knights. Yet, the tower is small and the number of dragon knights is quite small as well!!
  14. This MOC is really great, so detailed and full of great ideas, including the strippers! It's really one of the best I've ever seen here!!
  15. Welcome! Nice Viking scene! I just watched the movie The 13th Warrior last night btw! So that really fits!
  16. Not sure if it was the very first one, but for sure one of my first Castle sets was 6073 Knight's Castle - I still have it, a great set. Thanks to my parents for the cool toys of my childhood. I have fond memories. Nostalgia is a great thing. Ops, I just noticed that I've already posted in this topic. Forgive me, I really got nostalgic and carried away!
  17. Happy New Year everyone! This forum is a great place for adult LEGO fans. SO, AFOLs unite! Best wishes, Nikola Bathory
  18. Hm, brown/black/green looks cool and evil, but I have to say that the red/white theme is boring and ugly. Looks like an ambulance!
  19. Me too, but I received from my girlfriend a 7079 Drawbridge Defense!
  20. I can't agree with you, I think that the classic castle sets have better design, they have some sort of cosy feel to them. That's the best way I can describe them - cosy and interesting. The current ones look unfinished... They are not horrible, but the older ones are better designed. And yes, I'm 28-years old and a bit nostalgic, I admit.
  21. Very good review! As for the set - I voted "above average", I like it a lot. I just received this set as a gift from my girlfriend. It took me 65 minutes to build. There is a very good number of minifigs included, among them the king, queen and jester. Also, plenty of weapons. I really like it, I prefer when there is some sort of "base" to defend and attack, I've always liked it better this way, makes it much more interesting!
  22. Thanks for the links! Hm, after having a quick look - I don't know, the sets look OK, probably even a bit better than the current ones, but the Classic stuff (80's and early 90's) is still MUCH better in my opinion. Those helmets look cool, though - you get what I mean?
  23. Oh, I'm late, I get an "404 Not Found" when I try to click the pics of the new Castle sets. Will anyone please help me find them?
  24. I voted for Blue and white - Caribbean Clipper. I love the blue and white, it looks so pretty and calm!
