Lego castles: Baseplate or no-baseplate?
Nikola Bathory replied to Artifex's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I prefer the old Castle sets, the castles from the 80's and early 90's are the best. Castles such as 6080 King's Castle or 6073 Knight's Castle do look great and offer tons of fun and playability. On the other hand, there are some great castles with raised baseplates, such as the 6086: Black Knight's Castle, sadly I don't own this one, but it looks fantastic and I would love to have it one day. -
Thanks for sharing!

Looks great to me! Now you have a vampire couple!

LEGO assembled for some time..
Nikola Bathory replied to The Player Nº1's topic in General LEGO Discussion
So, do they? And what we mean be "a while"? -
6918 - The smalest set - so, the cool decorations on the roof are stickers?! Anyone else noticed that? I think they are syickers, because they were visible on an earlier photo and here you can't see them - I think it's simply because the stickers weren't applied for the toy fair? As for the rest - The mill is cool, as is the small Dragon Knights fort... with the Dragon Knight on horse, finally! I guess I'll buy these two.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Nikola Bathory replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Oh, Series 5? Series 4 are not even on the market yet! Anyway, I'll buy the female Pharaoh!!! I want some Egyptian stuff! The dwarf too, probably. I don't have any sets with dwarves. -
Hello and welcome to EB!

Which is your favourite base in the Pirate LEGO theme?
Nikola Bathory replied to Marco86's topic in LEGO Pirates
For me this is the Eldorado Fortress (6276) - the design is great! It's cosy. Has rooms, a dock, a prison, everything! It looks great from all directions, not only from the front side! -
First of all, the review is superb! So detailed and with great photos! As for the set - I have it, my first Architecture set. I guess I wouldn't have bought it, but I received it for taking part in the latest LEGO Programme... I love the small black box, great style! Plus, it's not oversized like all other Lego sets these days... The set is full of small pieces, which is cool. I have to find some time to build it... I've never seen the real house, but I know some things about it from an American Architecture course I had at the University several years ago.

TLG looking for good storytellers!
Nikola Bathory replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've received the same letter and I think that the AFOLs part ends here. It was great fun and I've already received my LEGO set. I really enjoyed the whole process. I agree. Wait for 2013 and only then you can share here something like - "Hey, I wrote about this new theme! They used my idea!" I hope to be one of those able to say this! -
Tron was a failure for Disney, they lost a lot of money from it, I think.

I barely new him, but it's very sad to learn that he's dead, he was only 27 years old? I hope that what he started with Classic Pirates will live on.
-
What's wrong with that? I don't mind it, I hope that this DACTA set will be available in my country. If it's not too expensive, I'll buy it! Come on, it has 22 minifigs, a HUGE number! As for the new 2011 Kingdoms sets, I'm happy that we finally have some news! So, Dragon Knights against peasants? Sounds cool, the sets look good! A LEGO chicken? Great! The Dragon Knights set looks like a smaller version of the Prison Tower Rescue? I was hoping for a bigger version of this set, not a smaller one! At least it finally has a Dragon Knight on a horse, with a barding too! I guess I'll buy it!

Nikola Bathory replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I ask myself the same questions. Do you already have some answers or feedback on these topics? -
Shary, That's really cool! I've seen the Haus des Meeres, but only from the outside, it's a very impressive Flak tower from the Third Reich. Your MOC is really great and detailed! It has so much going on inside the building! I rarely look at the Town sub-forum here and I'm happy I came across this MOC.

MCNwakeboard - nice find, thanks for sharing with us here!

Salut et bienvenue! So, I guess you're into City?

That's very good and looks massive. It really is like the VTOL from the game - I still remember it! Good job!

MOC: Secret Meeting under the old gnarled Tree
Nikola Bathory replied to Ingrimm's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That's very good and the vegetation is cool too! But you need to take better photos... Yes, light is important, and mobile phone = fail. (for a mobile phone, those photos are very good, by the way). -
Hello and welcome to EB, Ingrimm! I'm glad to see another Castle and Pirates fan joining here. Also, I have to say I love Austria, I've been there many times. Which region are you from (if not a secret)?

Scrat, that's indeed vety beautiful and has some mood to it. As for Andersen's story, it's one of my favourites!

Yes, I agree that the balance is always in favour of the good guys, I've noticed that, it's quite obvious, actually! I prefer the Dragon knights and they are always outnumbered! They never outnumber the good guys, even in the set that is supposed to be their base, their fortress - 7947 - there are 2 Dragon knights and 2 of the good guys (they even have a horse!). Another example - set 7949 - you have 1 Dragon Knight and 2 of the good guys! Why not add a Dragon Knight horseman? I don't know if LEGO will try to balance this, as we don't know whether there will be more Castle sets in 2011, there are no such news for now, sadly.
