Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
PenPlays replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Now, now. Keep in mind that none of the other Lego games before this produced any sets that directly tied in with their games, yet most of them still sell extremely well. However, Brainiac Attack may very well be the first in a hopefully long line of sets based off of designs from Lego games.- 4,591 replies

Store exclusives?
-
No this is very much on topic. The series will be ending with a Spring/early Summer wave. 70225 Bladvic's Rumble Bear 70226 Mammoth's Frozen Stronghold 70227 King Crominus' Rescue (info from Brickset) Just google those names, and you'll get some fuzzy images. Vultrix's Sky Scavenger is the Store exclusive, for these two waves. (Target)

There isn't anything that says this. The names of the Summer wave of sets do not point towards either side, so it would be very premature to assume this. I don't mind being proved wrong, though.- 4,591 replies

Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin (Video game discussion)
PenPlays replied to AyliffeMakit's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Okay now that we have clearer pictures, I think the colors are okay. The oxidized copper styling on his arm armor looks alright. I just hope that the red is a darker shade. Is this from the instruction booklets for the 2015 sets? -
I got Tahu and Kopaka yesterday. I was brought back by how large Tahu is! I just hope the rest of Toa are relatively close in scale. Kopaka is really cool as well (no pun intended). Really excited to see where this theme is going.

There has actually been multiple statements about where SoR takes place regarding the TV show. By the looks of it, Shadow of Ronin takes place in the TV world, it just doesn't directly tie into it. There will not be any new episodes until January 17th, or so says the uploader of YouTube versions.- 4,591 replies

Nice! Did you know that the Valentine's day one is available on Shop@Home right now? I was at my local Lego Store today hoping to find this set! It, sadly, wasn't there. I guess we'll have to wait until closer to valentines day.

He said that it might. The truth is, none of us will really know until the Toy Fair comes along. If I may point out, though, Star Wars Rebels is a sub-series of Star Wars. It coincides with the release of sets from the 6 movies themselves. Ninjago can run the same way and can follow the sub-series system as well (i.e. one or two Shadow of Ronin sets among multiple Tournament of Elements sets). Can you elaborate on what you mean about this "discontinuation method?" I don't really understand. Does it have something to do with piling two season worth of a show into one year, but have the second of the two season's sets trickle into the next year? That doesn't exactly mean that the series is going to discontinue. Sure it's a common trait between the original discontinuations of the two, but that really doesn't mean that the theme is, in fact, finished. We would have to have a couple themes that would have (successfully) discontinued in the same way in order for it to be considered as a possibility.- 4,591 replies

What? The Summer Wave of sets? I'm afraid that there is only one that clearly states that it is a Shadow of Ronin set. Let me remind you that the Ronin story will not be told by the TV show. It is an exclusive story for the video game. Of course, that doesn't stop Ronin for showing up for the tournament. We also know that, in the TV show, we will have the return of Destiny's Bounty, not to mention that some translations of the sets could be a bit blurred due to regional differences. As far as we know, that Titan mech could very well be "Titanium Mech." Google isn't exactly the most accurate of translators.- 4,591 replies

Just to further salt the wound in the US, I went to the Lego Store to confirm whether or not they'll show up in the US today... March is going to take forever to get here... *sigh*
-
That was the Mammoth Base that is coming out this Summer(ish). Everyone confused it for a Battle Pack. Allow me to rephrase that there is no longer record of their existence. For all we know, the Fire vs. Ice webpage was finished before those Speedorz sets had been canned, hence the weapons' inclusion on the page.
-
I emailed Lego about it. They don't even have record of their existence. Apparently whatever information was given at the Toy Fair was false, or right before they were cancelled. In short, they no longer exist.

Shop@Home is experiencing technical difficulties. If I recall correctly, the S@H Facebook page stated something about them still being available besides the back order label. February.

It's been going on since 2011. The seasons are relatively short. As an adult who has no kids to enjoy it with, I find the show very entertaining. There is some childish comedy, but there is a nice balance of that with some adult humor that goes over kid's heads. Ninjago is definitely worth your time.- 4,591 replies

I have a feeling that the Break-Jaw-mask wearing villain will be included in the Ocean HQ set. It's nice that every set includes a unique villain... well, excluding Anti-Matter, but the fact that he's the lead villain, it kinda cancels the fact of being "less-unique" out.

In order to avoid an extra long page, I will put what I have to say in a spoiler tag below. I can't really TL;DR that so... Anyway, I had no idea that Jay didn't have a Stone Armor variant in Battle of Ninjago City! I think it's interesting that they only slapped on a set of shoulder pads and that's that.
-
Finally, a Stone Armored Kai! It appears that the half red/half green Ninjago logo (featured on that Target box) is going to be the box art for the Summer wave of sets. That box set also confirms divers as the next group of sets for Lego City.
-
I hope this comes out soon! I'm so excited!
-
Is that sand green, red, and orange mixed? I hope that arm is tan, or the image is manipulated 'cause those colors look iffy (in my book). I'm sure the character will be awesome, though. Where did the pic come from?
-
Yes. Ninjago will release in January in the UK. That will probably be the only region in the world that will have them out before February/March.
-
I just noticed that Vultrix's Sky Scavenger is listed as a "Hard to Find" set on Lego.com. For those of us in the US, that means that it will be exclusive at Target.
-
That video show no signs of implying that it's similar to anyone. It was also discussed quite a few pages back. It's always useful to look back a few pages to get info.
-
And thus, my brain imploded. This year just got so much more exciting.
-
We're getting another Destiny's Bounty! :wub_drool: And Sensei Wu is finally getting a Dragon! Ronin also gets at least one set which is nice, but these all don't really compare to the fact that we are getting new Spinner type sets!! This Airjitzu things sound awesome. The wait for the Toy Fair has gotten so much harder, that it burns!! Hey demitri, do you have any info on any new themes coming out? Or if Ultra Agents will be continuing?
