    Angles of Light

DarthPLUR is semi-fictional character created for fan fiction story line on theCABG.net several years ago. The base for the character being my actual wife, and a Sith Raver is about right. Happy bubbly deadly. :)

Too simple. Though this is a SWU meets Classic Space MOC and they could just be controlled through the force. All you really need is heads up display on the cockpit canopy with laser sensors, technology that is already in the prototype phase in the real world. And/or an interface to the back of the flight suit that allows you control your vehicle through movements in your hands, wrists and fingers. It's sci-fi, be creative.
  4. Angles of Light Description: A tower fortress for semi-fictional character DarthPLUR. So it's still really not done yet! There's a whole array of items that surround this thing that I couldn't fit in the picture including to aspects I haven't built and I'm still planning on finishing the interior. Soon enough. I think you'll see Lego stores start to grow a little more world wide.
  7. I'm in love! Can I marry it!?What do have for lighting inside it?
  8. Carpool to Brickfete! :)
  9. I love Canada, except for it's bacon. Grrr. That's not bacon, it's ham! XD Welcome.
  10. Very cool. I've shared this with Ekow on http://www.flickr.com/photos/90882577@N02 . I wouldn't be surprised to see him use this in some of his up coming builds. Excellent work on the head.
  11. Love the weapons racks. To me the weapon and tool racks in a set change it from "just a model" to playable! :)
  12. Ok Lego time to build a Death Star play set. Using this same scale it would be pretty easy for a guided tour type attraction at say... Disneyland / Disney World!
  13. So where in the US are you going? IE Are going to be able to go to some conventions this summer?

  17. Place in box, fill with foam peanuts, open at Brickworld, use leaf blower (or sucker), done. :D
  18. Keep the sheilds and buy a couple off BrickLink. Trust me, later you'll want them.

Yorkdale Mall Lego Store Soft Opening has been bumped back a day. Store will open Saturday May 18.

    Canadian Eh?

That's probably because Lego hates the Montreal Canadiens, go Leafs go! I'm kidding but Lego is more important than hockey. *coughsimocscough*
  21. Never did it as kid. I'd use several colors like black, grey, and brown walls of castle but never more than that. Or gray, white, black & accent color for star ships. City: same color for all walls of building. My buildings' sizes were based on the amount of color I had in that Lego.

Soft Opening for Yorkdale Mall in Toronto is scheduled for May 17. Grand Opening is scheduled for May 31. Hope to see as many of you there as possible. I'll be there on the last day of the Grand Opening (June 2) to help shred the jumbo build, assuming that they doing one since they usually do one with Grand Openings.
  23. The bed is for sleeping in piles of Lego. :D

    Xi-3

Nose section is a bit narrow for my taste but the power functions (minus the exposed cord) and the main fuselage are great. I like the cockpit sloped back. :)
  25. Two simple reasons which several have pointed out but maybe not as clinically. 1. Strong emotional connection to receiving Lego in your youth and how the brain reacted with excitement and pleasure. Pleasure receptors in the brain being of course the parts of the brain that tend to lead to addiction. We enjoy feeling good, weird, I know. 2. Creative brain, the brain is stimulated in similar way while creating. Same with sex, food, etc. Once again we like feeling good. You may notice that when you are building you can go without food for longer periods of time than usual. That's because your brain is telling your body through chemicals that everything is fine and good in the world. We can wait longer to pee, longer to eat, and even force ourselves to stay up long past our bed times, because when brain is happy, we need nothing else. :) You tend notice this most when you've been building for 2-3 hours and you thought it was only 30-45 minutes.
