Galactic Hero by Phoenix Customs
DarkKnight7 replied to DarkKnight7's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
From Just2Good and other insider lists of Summer wave, itp sounds like there aren't any Cloud City sets arriving...in the near future anyway. But, then again, UCS sets pop up separately from the regular set lists - so it is still possible. Then again, we were "supposed" to get a UCS Hoth base this month...that didn't happen. Yeah, agreed, Lego does need to keep doing what they are doing color wise, as the tan hair just isn't accurate for Luke, accept maybe for New Hope. Thanks for the support!- 26 replies

No, sadly enough, there aren't, or I wouldn't have released one. There is a need, in my opinion!- 26 replies

Hi everyone! Here's one of the next of two figures we hope to release this year, Galactic Hero. Here's the info: Galactic Hero Pad printed double sided head, front and back torso, front legs Parts (as seen in the pictures): Dark Tan hair (custom dyed LEGO part - 92746 - by customBRICKS); lt. flesh head and hands; tan torso, arms, and legs. Only 25 were printed of him (with just a couple left), as I was printing him for a side project I am working on. What do you guys think of him?

Cold War Assassin by Phoenix Customs
DarkKnight7 replied to DarkKnight7's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks guys! Glad you like him! He's definitely starting to become one my new favorites in the collection. Agreed! Everytime I see a chromed version of something (from Ultron to Iron Spider), it looks so great. This figure had to have a chrome arm in my opinion! Thanks! Glad you liked them, and the mask especially, as I was hoping you guys would like that! Awesome! If it is, thank you! Hope we live up to your expectations!- 7 replies

Shapeshifter by Phoenix Custom Minifigures
DarkKnight7 replied to DarkKnight7's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thank you! I can't wait to get this printed, as it's one I've had planned for sometime, just had to find a feasible and reliable way to color the hair (as it's not available from LEGO). It's got it's inspiration from several things...I just wanted to make sure the eyes were right and the feel of the torso and leg designs to look balanced and nuanced. Thanks, I'm trying to add more double sided heads when possible, as I like that aspect of LEGO's figs these days. Thanks, man! You've been such a great supporter, it's sad to see you leave this side of the custom world. But, completely understand, as I had to take a break myself to get into SW with my son for a while. But, think it might be time to dive back in with all the great customs coming out now.- 11 replies

If Lego Indiana Jones got rebooted...?
DarkKnight7 replied to legosamsonite's topic in LEGO Licensed
Great ideas, and theses sets would be great to have with the updated building techniques and fig designs of the Lego designers! Too bad we really can only dream about it, as I really don't see these coming to fruition, even with a reboot to the franchise (they would just focus on the new movie) That Lego ideas set would be perfect, but as mentioned by someone else, it would probably have to come as two different sets. -
Agreed! Millenium Falcon is amazing, and the X-Wing is very cool and a close second. That new black and orange has really grown on me, and the new helmet with visor for Poe is a great attention to details!
-
That's weird. While I didn't get the X-Wing, I noticed that I have a problem too with the cockpit pieces for the Millenium Falcon set. The clear dish piece on the end that holds it all together won't fit over the studs on the clear canopy pieces (or whatever they are called). I was forced to just use a clear 2x2 instead. Plus, even with that piece, the cockpit won't click all the way onto the back and I think I saw one of the other reviewers also had a similar problem. So, I'm wondering if this is a problem with whoever is making the clear cockpit parts?? Still, I love the rest of the set so much, I look right past this flaw and am just enjoying this wonderfully designed set.

Got the Millennium Falcon set and MAN...do I love that thing! Granted, I never owned the older version, but this is just spectacular! Here's a link to some pics I took of the set and the figs. Millennium Falcon (75105) - Review - Flickr Not the most comprehensive or best pics I've ever taken, but gives you a good once over of the main parts. Gotta say, this set, Poe's X-Wing, and the Transporter sets are the best of this wave, in my opinion. The FO Tie was good, but not as quality as the others. Kylo Ren's shuttle was okay, but I'm not sold on it being as iconic or as great a build as the others. Plus, still am dissappointed in the Kylo Ren fig, as well. I will also add that I'm loving the addition of more diverse character figs into the SW landscape (female officer fig, an African American FO figures, Finn, female baddies, etc.).

Does anyone know if they have videos up of the unboxing events to watch on replay?

Nice to see this set a bit here, but it's a little hard to see the figs and details in these videos, unfortunately

Here's our other release: A hero without fear, a protector in the night, villains beware - Demon Vigilante is here! One of two new custom minifigures available, Demon Vigilante will feature front head, torso, and leg printing, as well as back torso prints - all in glorious pad printing by professional printers. The coolest features of this fig are: a) the wrap around leg printing (featuring a holster on one side) and b) the dot pattern throughout to give that feel of texture to our hero's suit. He will come armed with two black LEGO light sword pieces for weapons, as well. Thanks again to HJ Media for producing this great render! What do you guys think? Demon Vigilante

Hey everyone! Watch out LEGO heroes and citizens, Shapeshifter has arrived to infultrate your collections! One of two new custom minifigures available, Shapeshifter will feature front head, torso, and leg printing (with high quality professional pad printing), as well as back head and torso prints. And if here shapeshifting wasn't dangerous enough for the LEGO heroes in your collection, she also comes packing a BrickArms 1911 v2 pistol, perfect for quick lethal strikes. One aspect that is most unique for this figure is here new red hair piece. This piece was dyed to perfection by our custom community's own customBRICKS, so the quality is very good. Check out the figure's page to see an actual pic of the piece as it will look on the final figure (click the link for our site on our signature below). What is great about dyeing the piece is that it binds to the plastic and helps retain that smooth LEGO feel. None of that paint feel or peeling. Thanks again to HJ Media for producing this great render! What do you guys think? Shapeshifter Render by HJ Media Studios Figure designed by Phoenix Customs

Mecabricks to Blender Template

These are so friggin cool. Are these just using bricks and pieces imported from LDD or something? I'm confused of how this is done, but completely entranced!- 32 replies

Agreed, I'm getting that and hopefully the Poe's (you know) vehicle down the road along with the other main figs. VERY excited for this wave!
-
Well, if it is Leia, I sure hope they make a few changes first. But, I'm quite certain LEGO designers wouldn't take a step back from the 2011 version, they are quite accurate these days with what they create. So, my guess is that this is indeed a new character, possibly Toryn.

Thanks, they're coming this week, so excited to finally release this guy - and you might be able to fill your "need" ;)
