I would be very thankful to hear some critique and suggestions. It's important for the continuation of the project.

Thank you, Rygar! I haven't created any specific design for the remote controller, so you may just connect 4 IR remotes together using pins and insert 3L axles as levers. Then set the channels from 1 to 4. As far as I remember, the first channel is used for driving and steering, the second - for superstructure rotation and lifting the ladder. The third and the fourth channels control the boom (raising and bending the arm, tilting and opening the bucket). Correct me if I'm wrong. Try each function and set the reverse switches so that it would be comfortable to operate.

Ancient legends speak of giant flying beasts that came from the skies... This model is a forebody of a Renaissance class exploration spaceship. This model was supposed to be the first part of a much larger spaceship. My idea was to show how advanced technology transforms into new reality, and artificial creations become new nature. I used the citation of the Clarke's third law to refer to the hypothesis that humanity cannot find traces of activity of advanced extraterrestrial civilizations because they are indistinguishable from natural cosmic phenomena. I also wanted to connect this with an ufological theory that aliens were visiting Earth in the past and this was reflected in mythology. Here are the blueprints with different views of the ship's forebody, its dimensions and a list of its key components (click to open the picture in higher resolution): Additional views of the model: The ship is approaching a new planet for research... Additional photos can be found on Flickr.

Indeed, about 20 chrome silver parts hidden in the basement are a good investment, aren't they?

Hi Ivanriver! Glad to hear you decided to build this MOC! Its inventory is listed on Rebrickable. You may either use Rebrickable's Build function to determine which parts you already have and which you need to buy or export the entire parts list in various file formats. In the latter case look for "Import/Export Options" at the top of the "Parts Inventory List" section.

Thanks for sharing your photos, SilenWin! White is one of the 'natural' colors for Terex RH400, so that I like the idea of using it. However, I think that the number of colors used in the superstructure and the arm should be minimized. Black and red bucket looks very interesting! The yellow version looks closer to Cat 6090! :D
