The battle on the beach raged on… … when suddenly the whole beach was filled with monkeys. Armed monkeys! Every human froze and and lowered their weapons. The overall scene was quite bizarre... Even Private Patton was cautious not to make a move Two monkeys grabbed the golden chest and dragged it along the beach Then the monkey on the dune addressed his audience. “Humans. You have come a long way in your strange pursuit of shiny things that have no real value.” “Your quest is over.” The monkey produced some shades out of nowhere “Would you please all look right here.” While the other monkeys were closing their eyes, all of the humans stared right into a blinding flash of light. The shaded monkey continued: “Ok, now that I have done the flashy thing, let us sort this thing out.” “Lady de Summer or rather Angelina Lancaster. You have fallen in love with Flynn Stewart. Both of you have worked out the secret of the models of the “Eight Provinces” – and each of your families had one model in their possession. You were destined to find the treasure together. When Flynn proposes to you, you will accept. You will share the treasure with him and Captain Cookie and pay a fair share to Captain Blofeld. And don’t forget Samuel Abacus without whom you would not have been able to dive down to the wreck.” “Flynn Stewart, you have fallen in love with Lady de Summer. She is as cunning and daring as you are. You will propose to her, marry her and the two of you will live an exciting life ever after.” “CaptainBlofeld. You will forget the treasure but you will fall for the wreck of the Eight Provinces. After bringing Angelina and Flynn home, you will return here to retrieve valuables from the wreck and open a tourist restaurant in the dunes. With the “Surprise” you will ferry the rich and noble to this site and you will in turn get rich by doing so.” “Brave Corrington soldiers. You have succeeded in your mission to capture the Highwayman. Unfortunately on your way home he fell overboard and was devoured by sharks. Still, your mission was a success you can be proud of and Sergeant Salt will be promoted to Lieutenant.” “Captain Cookie, you expert of cunningness and perfect disguises. We know what you did. You were too lazy to search and dive for the treasure yourself, you wanted the others to do the work for you. Well, you will use your part of the treasure to further improve your ship. And, of course, you will bury some of it on a far away island. And you will sail to Puerto Desafio to buy new cookies.” “And as for us, we have finally recovered the Bananarite that was lost with the “Eight Provinces” all those many years ago." “People may have thought there were no monkeys in this story. This is not true. We have always been involved. Right from the beginning, when the Bananarite was lost.” “Ok, everything settled? Before I forget, there was no flash of light, you were just looking at the sun for a second and, remember: there were no monkeys on this beach.” The beach emptied and the humans were on their own again Flynn Stewart: “Would you….” Angelina [beaming]: “Yes!!!” Captain Blofeld [to himself] “Why does this never happen to me?” Flynn: “Captain, will you…” Angelina: “… join us In marriage?” Captain Blofeld (blushes): “Certainly, certainly. Let us return to the Surprise for the ceremony.” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And what was this all about? Captain Cookie stood on the dunes and looked down at the treasure of the Eight Provinces on the beach – in which nobody seemed interested at the moment. “Much ado about nothing”, he muttered to himself. “Too much monkey business. Speaking of animals, where is my parrot? The grand old Norwegian Blue?” The parrot was surely waiting for him in his cabin. Yes, everything/everyone is coming together - well observed. The dunes were more difficult than expected as I could find none of my dark tan 1x1 bricks. They have completely disappeared. Maybe a sorting error... Thanks - I hope I will. All good things must come to an end. Having started this storyline more than a year ago gives me the feeling that I should not become a second George R.R. Martin. Great that you appreciate the colour combination. I actually have not tried this combo before. I hope you'll like the second part of the finale too.

I think that Sally was an earlier decal based version. Thanks to the WTC. But you know how difficult things can be with traditional uniforms. Very hard to change that... Thanks - let's see how this unplanned storyline evolves

Thank you. The photography was a challenge, actually, as it was a very sunshiny day. I had to improvise a lot to be able to shoot in the shade. Ok, I hope that this will not disappoint. (Loves Houses has already read it and was happy with it.) Ok, but one of them is only armed with an umbrella. And Captain Cookie seems to be on his way down to the beach! Well, we'll see. Final chapter shall be released next weekend. (And looking back I saw that part one ended roughly a year ago. So it is high time to bring the story to an end!)

Flynn Stewart, the Highwayman was standing on a sunny and peaceful beach. With immense pleasure he realized that he had found an immense treasure. Lady de Summer and Captain Blofeld had wanted him to bring the treasure to the beach – so that the crew would not get any bad ideas. And there it was before him, after some days of hard work: The treasure of the “Eight Provinces”. Many silver ingots and a golden chest. “What can I do to have the treasure for myself?” he mused. “So what do we have here”, he heard a voice behind him. Lady de Summer had arrived, accompanied by Captain Blofeld. “You have found me a great treasure”, the Lady addressed Flynn Stewart. “This must be kept secret from the crew”, Captain Blofeld interjected. “This must be kept secret from everyone”, the Lady corrected. “But who knows exactly what we have found?” Flynn asked. “You can never be sure”, Lady de Summer replied. None of the three spent a thought of taking a deeper look at the strange palm tree that was growing in the dunes. Yes, Captain Cookie had arrived on the scene, listening in to every word they said. And he saw the treasure, all those silver ingots spread across the sand. “What can I do to have the treasure for myself?” he mused. "Freeze!”, a voice shouted. “Corrington Army speaking! You are arrested”, Colonel Greybeard yelled while running across the beach at full speed. Captain Blofeld: “I did not expect the Corrington Army”. Colonel Greybeard: “Nobody expects the Corrington Army. Our chief weapon is surprise. Surprise and fearlessness. Our two chief weapons, blimey, this is getting difficult…” Fighting broke out all along the no longer peaceful beach (yet still sunny). Colonel Greybeard: “Take this, old chum!“ Captain Blofeld parried without blinking. Captain Silvers was facing the Highwayman. Both went into a grinning duel. Lieutenant Stick was hesitant to join the battle on Silver’s side, the dunes were blocking his way. Sergeant Salt thought that dealing with the only woman on the beach would be an easy thing, but Lady de Summer produced a golden rapier seemingly out of nowhere and started her attack within a splitsecond . The clang of arms lay over the beach (not peaceful, but still very sunny). Private Patton was trying to figure out how to use the umbrella in battle… Captain Cookie drew his saber and - with a sigh - prepared himself to join the fierce fighting. They had found the wreck of the Eight Provinces! .. everyone on board the Surprise was excited! Lady de Summer was talking to Captain Blofeld: We need to be sure that we found the right wreck. So the Red Fandango took another dive... .. to confirm they were right! But there was a problem. The Red Fandango could dive deep enough to find the wreck - but by then it was time for him to get back to the surface or he would drown. "This is where I come in", Samuel Abacus said. "Open the small boxes that I brought along and you will find an apparatus that will allow deep diving missions." The Red Fandango opened the box to find a strange golden helmet inside. "Put it on", Samuel Abacus demanded. And it worked! Using a hose and two guys operating a pumping mechanism, the Red Fandango (or Flynn Stewart) was able to get to the bottom of the sea: .. and to explore the wreck and its surroundings... .. undeterred by the strange beings to be found living around the wreck... .. and he found that the silver he was looking for was scattered over the ocean floor - still looking shiny and new. So he started to collect the treasure of the Eight Provinces. (to be continued)

Friends, Oleonders, Corringtonados and Countrymen: The people of Pontelli have voted! Smiling Sally will be the new Mayor of Pontelli! Hip Hip Hooray! While the bagpipes were playing and the crowd was cheering, Smiling Sally - in her formal dress as Mayor of Pontelli - was given the keys to the city - in a ceremony in front of the town hall. In a first statement, Sally announced that Toktawoo (who had actually taken off his mask) will support her and Pontelli by handling external affairs. Also, Attorney Jon van Dyke will be responsible for jurisdictional affairs and such. Hip Hip Hooray!
