  1. Yes, everything is very subtle... Who came up with bananarite? It is all your fault! thanks to you! Thanks. We'll see. There were monkeys in there? Really? I need to check! Thanks! Good that the picture can be recognised. I was not so sure when I started it.
  2. Blue was a better fit with the rest of the Mardier uniforms. As you can see they blend in well with the background
  3. What happened so far: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/171041-mystery-island-explosion-on-gunpowder-island/ https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/171099-mystery-island-2-a-message-is-sent/ https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/171134-mystery-island-3-a-message-is-received/ Cut to the headquarters: [The Lieutenant was talking to the Marquis. Translation follows:] There was a vulcanic eruption on Gunpowder Island. Lava? Not much, apparently. Stones flying? Not really. But an explosion? Yes, with a lot of smoke. This confirms my worst fears. This was no vulcanic eruption. This is far worse... [The General enters.] Lieutenant: We have reason to believe that the mountain of Gunpowder Island contains large quantities of Bananarite. In fact, enormous quantities. General: How much? Lieutenant: Approximately more than 2.000 tons. General: What? 2.000 tons? If you bring so much Bananarite together it would certainly ... Marquis: ... explode. Lieutenant: And that is exactly what happened today as we can see on this picture that has just come in. General: How much Bananarite are we usually using to improve banana quality? Marquis: Around 20. General: Twenty what? Marquis: Micro-ounces. General: And now we have seen an explosion of 2.000 tons! Lieutenant: Yes. 2.000 tons of aerosolic Bananarite will certainly lead to an enormous level of mutation on the island. Marquis: The humans must be warned. General: Yes. But for many, it will already be too late... (to be continued) next chapter: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/171432-mystery-island-5-encounter-in-the-jungle/
  4. Great build, I love the gallion-stallion. Has anybody thought of that before? Brilliant!
  5. Wow, a "real" ship. I usually turn to some fantasy stile when buiding ships, but this is a great model!
  6. A fine ship we have here. And it reminds me of steampunk somehow with all the gold...
  7. You are now an expert in rigging! (so tedious...) Fine vessel, I like the innovative approach to the rear.
  8. Pretty fine build, Professor. So we have another eye-witness of those events on Gunpowder Island!
  9. Thanks Dank u. Well you know how eggspensive crews are. Especially over Easter.
  10. Well spotted. I used that Eldorado Fortress as background
  11. Happy Easter! They were eggstremely eggspensive!
  12. Torsos are custom decals...
  13. Mardier - always one step ahead in cunning and cleverness - present their next version of Easter Elite Troops: A true masterpiece in military design and efficiency! Happy Easter (if that is a feast of your choice)! C.B.
  14. I saw this too late Otherwise I'd have contributed!
  15. My first entry here: "De Neushoorn" https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/171147-pa-cup-cat-b-class-1-de-neushoorn/ Range: 2 Maneuver: 3 Firepower: 0 Crew: 1 Cargo: 3 Hull: 1 (not sure if I got that right...)
  16. Pilot Jacobus Vandermeulen was very proud of his ship "De Neushoorn": Range: 2 Maneuver: 3 Firepower: 0 Crew: 1 Cargo: 3 Hull: 1 (will be licensed, etc.) Have a nice (rest of the) weekend!
  17. Coincidences: As I read that and write this I am listening to ABBA... The crab is just one of the many creatures that are in this scene = background. (And this is not Crab Key).
  18. Next part is up - take a look! Did you know that they start those seagulls with a catapult if the load is too heavy? So many confusing questions! I should call out to you when I am in need of names for a story!
  19. What happened so far: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/171041-mystery-island-explosion-on-gunpowder-island/ https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/171099-mystery-island-2-a-message-is-sent/ The seagull received a friendly welcome and was fed some cookies... "Take this message to the general!" "Yes, Sir!" The corporal hurried off, carrying the expensive overseas message. "I wonder if we could use swallows as messengers", the lieutenant mused. 20. What happened so far: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/171041-mystery-island-explosion-on-gunpowder-island/ Soon after the vulcanic explosion, a white bird was seen (or probably not seen as it flyeth so high).... ... leaving gunpowder island with a parchment. A message, obviously. To whom? From whom? And what does it say? (to be continued) next chapter: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/171134-mystery-island-3-a-message-is-received/ And while we are at questions: What does the seagull get as a wage as it wages such a dangerous voyage? Do seagulls get more pay when they bring messages to Eslandola? Do they get paid by Mardier or just roasted? Is the payment cargo-based, i.e. based on the weight of the parchment? Or based on the number of letters in the letter? I guess, it is the latter. (I should stop this...)
  21. Thanks! Lots of chapters - we'll see Monkey - well spotted! Yes, back with hopefully a bit of time to pull this off! It looks more dangerous, as objects in the rear view mirror may appear .... Thanks for another picture of an eye-witness of the event! Thanks - and let's see what is to come. I was not aware of previous events ... Bedankt! You have read all my storylines! It was you! Great!
  22. Clever build and a nice scene. I also like the approach to do water!
  23. I would like to start a new storyline: The Brick Seas. April 6th. The Eslandonean ship "Phantastic Views And Where To Find Them" was sailing along the coast of Gunpowder Island. A calm and peaceful day ... until suddenly... "Vulcano eruption on starboard", the lookout shouted. The crew was startled... ... but they did not seem to be in deadly peril. There was mainly smoke and fire - and not much lava either or rocks flying through the air. "Only a minor explosion", the captain was heard muttering to himself. Little did they know about the horrors that were to come. (to be continued) next chapter: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/171099-mystery-island-2-a-message-is-sent/ Maybe this vulcanic explosion was also observed by other mariners. I'd be interested to see and hear about their reports. Best regards Captain Braunsfeld
  24. Yes, it is the hull piece that initially comes in white/blue combination.
