Yes it is ballroom dancing. And I am doing this myself. I had thought about those cone-skirts for some time - and now I managed to turn this into a MOC.

Well, so far I have explained, why he can - sail - play poker - call himself a marquis, etc. There have been scenes, where he has been talking. So some training must have taken place. It is the first time I have tried this. And white is actually a bit cumbersome. Plus: The tavern was supposed to be lit. There is a torchlight inside - but it did not come across at all.

I am totally surprised that I have not yet commented on this creation. It is fantastic. I really am a fan of the Armada and those Spanish guys - and your MOC makes them shine!

Unbenownst to most modern historians (a contradiction in itself, or is it?) dancing was quite popular in the age of pirates. Here you can see Swash Buck Johnny performing with "Baby" Francis. Their dance act was alway spectacular. You would never know if the final jump would work out. Everybody would hold their breath in anticipation. Later, Frances said something about a watermelon, which was kind of weird as nobody had seen such a fruit and such a brick had not been found on bricklink..

Thanks. The building in the middle is a modification of a "pirate of the carribean" building. The other two are from the medieval market set.

I will be your main contact. You will receive more information at the headquarters in some time. You are not much of a talker? Marquis (nods) Dark Figure: We will see to that and you will receive some language training. But in the meantime, let me give you this. Marquis (looks confused) Dark Figure: Yes, a trumpet. Use it in case of emergency. And you will be helped. Marquis (looks quizzical, but takes the trumpet) (and keeps looking quizzical) Dark Figure: I understand, that you want something to help you practice your control over animals? This is fine, despite that bright yellow (is it?) not being among my favourite colours. And it seems you found a new approach to build the trunk of a palm tree!
