  1. These are for my yellow cargo train. i am making a maintenance one, so i will have about 3 of these and then use that truck from i think its the red cargo set with the digger/train maintenance truck on it.
  2. I think i have got this to a good point i am happy with it. just need to price parts to see if i am using any rare parts. i dont think i am so far.
  3. What i have made so far happy with the top part underside needs work but i cant get it right, not close to what i wanted at all. if any one has and tips for the underside that would be kool not bad for my first try at something If anyone wants to download and improve. coalwagon.lxf
  4. does seams a bit costly. they have a potion to just buy the manual. with post about 5.60euro so only about $10. Might be worth it, it is a nice wagon. with post for the whole thing is about 56 on cheap post that about 90nz alot for just one wagon. thats 1/3 of a whole set. I think i have to top of the wagon down, building the base i dont like the one on this model. I like the base on Carl Greatrix. brown wagon model but i can see how he has done it.
  5. i might just buy one from them i wonder what shipping would be like to nz
  6. i just found this, http://www.blokbrick...en-us/p108.html looks spot on. to bad its 30euros just after the plans. - also i have that truck so i might go over it and try and copy it a bit. looks like the wheel setup might be hard to setup nicly. -if i manage to get a nice disgn made up i will post it up.
  7. Hello All. I am keen to make some mineral wagons for one of my sets, i am still not very good and trying to design anything myself yet on lego designer. I have see the odd pic around of a mineral wagon that i like. I am after more of the old britsh mineral wagon look. And less the modem day looking ones like the old Blue lego one and the newer White wagons. I am making up a maintance train and keen to make about 2-3 of these what will have ballast in them. any help or pics i could try and copy off would be good, Thanks Matthew
  8. for $60nz you can buy a 9v motor i think even less they are around $40nz. Thats what i do no need for PF, but i have alot a 9v Track if you only have the new plastic stuff then you are stuck with PF. Nice to see alot of kiwis on here :-) I just hope toy world has the horizon express up for pre order or in the shop on the 1st.
  9. toyworld in westgate.
  10. i see both the yellow and red cargo train all over the show in NZ. but in saying that the Red Cargo train has sudenly dropped about 20% in price. round $220 NZ what is CHEAP and also the Passanger train is that price. the Yellow cargo train still around the $300 mark.
  11. the Engine shed could be one of the most expencive lego projects to start on. Even making 1/3 of this size one would set you back a bit of cash. In the end it would be a wonderfull model to have. Even after seeing this and building the tower to match my standerd engine shed i am keen to make mine at least 4 tracks long. And i like the roofing on this more than the standerd look.
  12. I convert all the currect PF trains into 9v to make them look a little better and me not have to use batterys. 3667 Red Cargo Train looks very nice in 9v i put some extra detail where the battery box should of been.
  13. not your fault is mine, i started by from the emailed list and then went of lego software half way though. I should of asked also. i did this with the engine shed when i built if from parts and ended up costing me heaps to buy the black roofs. Love the plans would love more from you. Also using 1x1s and a 1x3 wont look as good at the bits i bought but would of saved a bit of cash. Ahh well my lego train collection is a collectors item i can get the cash back at a later date. With this model not being a Lego model you cant buy off the self it will be very rare in NZ unless they build on from this site. Note: you could not make me up a plan for a double length so 4 track long shed. I already have a complete 10027 with no missing parts Note2: Have you got any other kool train related building models. This is what i lack with my lego set.
  14. Red Brick, Arch 1 x 3 this is not a cheap brick. 13 are needed for the build of the tower. I had to by these at there high cost due to me buying all the other parts first and did not research all the parts need for cost. Cost me 40euros to by them due to no seller having more than 2-3 in stock. shipping cost is what kills it. Might want to rethink the color. Seams to be just the Red color that is rare.
  15. Also just bought 61 out of the 76 item types from my common surplyer on brick link for $40Nz for that signal tower good deal nice to see you using common bits. Will be happy to put some pics up once built. Might be a few weeks till i get all the bits.
  16. Thanks for the PM, how can i get the plans for this. I dont mind downloading some software.
  17. I have seen my son watch you vids a few times, he always wants to crash my lego trains now. I am tierd of fixing them all the time.
  18. I am keen to make that signal box are the plans for this about if dont have a leog cad programs. would love a part list and some plans for it.
  19. cost of that shed in parts would be alot. I just built the standerd one from parts off brick link and still set me back $350nz.
  20. Just asked my local toyworld and they had not clue about this, i am just hoping its not more than $200NZ its selling on the lego site for $129us. http://search2.lego.com/?cc=US〈=2057&q=10233&ns=1&x=0&y=0
  21. I will be making my 2 sets = 1 train 9v, might need two motors we will see how it is on the bends. Cant wait for the new year. I will be making my 2 sets = 1 train 9v, might need two motors we will see how it is on the bends. Cant wait for the new year.
  22. Just bought 32 bends 10 streights and a x over for about 80 euros Owch!!
  23. Wonderfull
  24. Trying to get 9v track is a pain. I do have a bit but i still want about another 30 streights, and at $5NZ for a 9v streight add that up and its alot of cash. I wish people would not over charge for it, i can get a curve for 60c WTF. At least in another 10 years i might be able to sell them again for $10 and piece.
  25. This is one of my fave but mainly due to my first lego train. Load N' Haul Railroad But now i am 20 years old 7938 Passenger Train is the one i really like. But the new TGV coming out that will top my list. I also really like the 7939 Cargo Train (just the train) and the same with 3677 Red Cargo Train In saying my Above i think the Emerald Night has agood disgin and its good Lego are trying to make things look more real but the preporshions are just to far out for me to be hooked on it.
