  1. Have we had any further developments on games... i think we would actually be able to create a game that exists online... is anybody else interested in making this happen? It could be part of the pirates forum.
  2. I must say they are better than any i have ever made, yet i personally (while having seen it on my own brickshelf browsing) thought the last ship was ugly. to tall and too blue, personally i think the MOC's found on our forum are of higher standard, makes me proud to be here! BTW i think Joey Lock you should refer to Phes's tutorial on resizing images, here, although i do note that you did not upload the pictures yourself a resized image would be preferred.
  3. Ah Ha, i had searched and not found any petitions! I was hoping there was one! Thanks for the link! And yes Cpt. Pegleg Blockbeard was aware of the issue list and also knows no matter how many times he posts he wants them back it will make little difference. He also apologizes if he made this convo into a bring back pirates topic, also for talking in the third person in this paragraph! ...Geo...
  4. How is it possible people do not find these ships majestic, wonderful and fantastic (in the true meaning of the word, not its overly used pretty meaning), I wish i owned a great big painting of a Man O' War, my Dad has a good one. LOL type in "Man of war ship" and the second picture found through google is... the one posted above... i wonder how Phes came across it? As for the small but powerful creation this topic is about Very well done, creative use of the bricks, love the fact its detailed yet small, using ships this size for evil Steve's game would be much cheaper!
  5. Well what can i say... i am currently doing a marketing degree at university, and if LEGO is not sitting behind a computer with a couple of "agents" as members actively seeking out this information from this fan sight they are wasting an INCREDIBLE RESOURCE! In fact my current project in Market Research is to explain how valuable this kind of information gathering is! LEGO IF YOUR OUT THERE LISTENING, ME and MY FRIENDS and OUR WALLETS want PIRATES BACK! I have considered making a new thread, basically it would serve as petition of names of the people who want pirate Lego back. however i felt it unnecessary due to the Ambassadors having already put it on the list of issues. EDIT:oh btw i voted POTC but wish i had read the list properly as i would have voted port/seaside
  6. Every single hull bit i own came from a company known as Enlighten... lol! thats right all 34 (8 ships) bits of hull i own are not Lego *hangs head in shame* And all my MONKEYS... ARGHH... all i am left with is my normal bricks and a very small collection of AUTHENTIC pirate Lego... AT LEAST MY SIG FIG WILL MAKE IT, with his trusty parrot!
  7. Hmm very interesting... My dam clone army brings me no joy for this!!! i cant even use a ship hull i own, OH the pain of it... Must have money to make money, and must have LEGO to get Lego... A question however, Only two exceptions of non-Lego parts being string and decals, can we add custom paper sails to that list? All the best to those that enter!!!
  8. Yes it definitely fails in comparison to MLCad... i am in love with it, although as some have said it is hard to know if they have "clicked" into place. Once i get this annoying Law Assignment out of the way i will have a good play around and post my findings...
  9. RAOFL (for those who dont know, Roll Around On Floor Laughing) those jelly hogging Captains deserve all the mutiny a pirate can afford!
  10. This thing IS HUGE! great work! be interesting to see your boat side by side with phred's Constitution, then stick a bsb in between them and laugh at how small it looks... Keep up the good work! i hope those finances come along soon so we can all enjoy this moc finished!
  11. hmm yes a detail i over looked, i thought you'd be able to tell by the pictures... my bad!
  12. Hmm thanks allot oDDerFisken, i believe you just named two of my ships, Saelen and Fischer, ironically in English they sound like sailing and fisher... lol Ulric, and Jens are now two of my lieutenants, my commanders are Jorgensen, and Henrik... and yes i would love for you to come up with more... i need 6 marine lieutents I have found this websight on the battle of Copenhagen, with a little adjustment in times and ship names this is to be the basis of my story... http://www.britishbattles.com/waterloo/battle-copenhagen.htm from this sight i have named my remaining four boats, Holsteen, Wagrien, Jylland and Nyborg Thus my Fleet, is Meander (Flagship) A MOC that is a WIP, with six mid sections Saelen, Holsteen, that will be this ship Wagrien, Nyborg, these will be these ships Jylland, Fischer finally these will be the smaller ships *Note i will be custom making sails and flags for the ships*
  13. ah that one isn't the one that is the same design as the BSB, the red sails ship is basically the exact design of the BSB, although has a scull and cutlass sail at the top, give me a BSB at a competitive price to this ship and i would take the BSB any day of the week, but given it is not, and BSB's are collectors items SIGH... they are way out of my budget... so in short, its an okayish substitute. The gold sails are by far my favourite, maybe not the most realistic but the way it shimmers in the light. BTW the 'Adventurer' (the one pictured in your post), has a the thinner hull with two mid sections, in my opinion it is by far the best proportion of the enlighten boats. However it has its draw backs as it only has two cannons!
  14. the CC for sure, the sails seem too 'short' on the red beard runner
  15. Your into Castle and Pirates! Same as me! If you looking for mature people to discuss anything Lego you have landed in the right spot! i recently saw some things that get posted on Lego.com... there is no such five year old discussions here, and i think you actually have to be 18 to join or at least act it to be a member here so... as said older Lego fans are here to be found! Welcome aboard and look forward to seeing you in the Pirate Forum! ...Geo...
  16. As i have posted before i am going to be making a fleet from Denmark, i am doing this due to my ancestry... A ship with my great great great Grandfather and Grandmother were on, the 'Alfred' was fired upon by a Dane Man of War called 'Meander' while leaving Humburgh Germany, I plan this ship to be my 'flagship', i will have six other ships to go with it but lost for some good names. Hoping you guys can help me out! Also some officers names would be appreciated... Eventually, a story will be written about the army and some of their adventures. Look forward to your replies ...Geo...
  17. well he be me after my 18th birthday... and i will soon be 20... and another old one... i was 18ish in it, covered in silly string at a party... here is a more recent shot... i was trying to be Mr. T and one from last September with girl friend (on the right) and friend (bellow) - i was looking straight at the sun... i hope you enjoyed the insight into me... p.s. any one notice how most of us have long hair...
  18. i collect Black Templar, got my self a land raider and then never put it together... too hard. i also have a dreadnought (not painted yet), 5 bikes, 5 jump-pack marines, 40 marines, 5 sword brethren, 5 terminators, terminator captain, Chaplin in terminator armor, commander and a tec-marine with 4 saboteurs, 5 gray knights... oh and two tau mechs forget what they are called... also responsible for my dark ages...
  19. Welcome aboard, make sure to come by the pirates section some time, i am sure we can convert you slightly... BTW i agree with the disliking of Bionical, just don't tell anyone.... shhh
  20. If you ask me he was mutinied against, left his share of gold, and a pistol with a single shot... if only this mini fig had back hair he could of tied two sea turtles together and got away... also maybe he fell asleep and the tide rose, with his heavy armor was unable to swim and drowned, that would be ironic as it's excess water that would have killed him not the lack of it...
  21. this list is sad and in need of improvement 6247 - Bounty Boat 6251 - Pirate Mini Figs 6264 - Forbidden Cove i always wanted... 6271 - Imperial Flagship 6277 - Imperial Trading Post 6285 - Black Seas Barracuda
  22. lol about 5 years ago if not more i bought a battle for waterloo set, it came with lots of those small plastic men, some were even mounted... i forgot i even had them till i saw this topic, must go find them...
  23. Well my story is one that many i think will identify. i grew up playing with my brothers space lego building space ships, then i went to his friends house who had a large collection of castle, robin hood and the alike... i was instantly biten by a castle bug, i started dreaming over catelogs my brother had of the black dragon castle. Some years passed with me only dreaming over the catelogs and making do with my brothers collection, i myself i had been given two sets of lego buckets, full of the normal brick and windows, finally one christmas every thing changed, i got a two small sets, they contained one row boat four soldiers and a few pirates, castle in my mind very quickly become obsolete. next birthday i was rewarded for my endless hours spent playing with pirate lego by a set with islanders, another pirate captan and row bot as well as an islander canoe, unfortunatly that to this day remains the extent of my real lego pirate collection. In 2001ish i saw a return to the love of castle in buying nearly every set in the king leo knights kingdom then again alas i went into the dark ages until late last year i was diognosed with cancer and found myself with too much time on the net... thinking my castle might be worth something on ebay i typed in lego and there it was... a picture of the bsb, my heart flattered instantly i bid on her with my limit only $100, i quickly lost, not to fear, i then turned to google which lead to wikapedia which i think you should know has a link to eurobrick forums under pirate lego!... now im hook line and sinker in love with lego again, as a consequece i spent about $500 on i am ashamed to admit a fleet of enlighten boats, 8 in total plus an extra 110 men and guns and shiny swords. Enough bricks to make some impressive mocs in the future. Now i spend my time split between my uni study and this forum. i plan to be a citizen ASAP, however im sticking to pirates for now... A special thanks to Mister Phes and Phred, if i had not seen your pure passion for pirate lego in my internet wonderings i may still be wondering looking for that special something to fill in that lego hole... also Cpt Zuloo, im from Adelaide too, im wondering where i may find this Lego specialist store, i have never encounted it before... sadly i must add, the founds for my first brick link just got sucked up by a $300 speeding fine over the easter break, sigh, shoulda stayed home building lego.
  24. it be a great shame to hear we will be waiting so long for part V, i would say the 'lack of response' is due to the faction and not your excellent work. I have been a fan of the series since i first saw it! i had my suspisions your were a perfectionist but this proves it. From what i saw of this edition, pride should be the only thing felt about it! no reservations, it must be said again! great job!
  25. That is one very fine ship. it makes me want to jump onto bricklink and spend a fortune and veinly copy your basic design... coping after all is the finest form of flatery... A fine ship built, one on the way, another smaller but just as impresive ship, your fleet will be one to behold forsure. I feel very sorry for any bsb that chances to pass this beauty.
