Sale prices are only showing in the cart. So far the Pet Shop modular and the space port are the only large sets If found on sale.

The sale finally went live for me and there's virtually nothing to speak of that I can find.

Alien Conquest is my pick. They were the first non technic sets I bought in probably 10 years.

Any word on when these are going to be available in the US? -
Nicely done. There's all kinds of cool little details in this build.

Great little build.

I was searching for something totally unrelated and stumbled across an old picture of a Russian concept for a light attack aircraft that had both propeller and turbine thrust and was designed for short take offs on rough fields. It looked like a fun project to make in Lego so I fired up LDD. Oddly the more I played with it the more my model took on the look of a Stuka so I colored it appropriately. I need to do something with the main gear so they will stay retracted but otherwise I'm pleased with the outcome. Now to decided if I want to build it.

Is that a battle droid in the large set? ETA: It would appear that it could be Mr. Bones.
-
I don't believe that is accurate. The two TIE fighters chasing the MF on Jakku appear to be standard but modern versions. Notice the lack of long range comm antenna as compared with the Special Forces version.

Nicely done. Low profile tanks are far more survivable in the field.

Since I was forced to use the darker blue due to parts availability, I wanted to spread its use out so it wasn’t all confined to the rear of the ship. Eventually I’ll replace those flat plates with something more interesting. In answer to your other question, the cargo area isn’t tall enough inside to accommodate the small vehicle.

Thanks everyone for the comments and compliments. This was a fun project and has motivated me to keep expanding my ADU forces. I’ve tried to answer everyone’s questions below. The side pods where the main gear is stowed is extremely fragile. This is my fault as I was messing around with their location didn’t do a better job of integrating them. They are only attached at the front middle and rear and it isn’t enough. I’ll give posting the LDD file some thought. Here is a quick shot of the gear retracted. The ship isn’t large enough to accommodate something like that. Besides, I already have an APC for my troops. It will hold at least 12 when completely stripped out. I’m working on some sort of modular payload system so it can be switched out depending on the mission but it is still in the idea stage. Here's a shot of the cockpit from above. The pilot is in the rear while the gunner sits up front. There's not much to see on the bottom. I just threw some details in there because I was forced to use a transparent piece. Finally here's a shot with my MAGS and an ADU trooper to give a sense of scale. Unfortunately the cargo bay is one tile too low to allow the MAGS to fit without removing the turret. Poor planning on my part.

Thanks. In my imagination they are two types of missile, either radar or heat seeking or something along those lines. You never know what you’ll run into on a combat drop!

These are such well thought out sets and a fantastic homage to a great game. It is a shame they will not be considered.

The last of my parts showed up yesterday so I was finally able to put this together. This was my first LDD to LEGO build and was a significant learning experience. The biggest lesson learned for future builds is build it right in LDD. The model is unnecessarily fragile because I didn’t pay enough attention to interlocking structures. Regardless I am quite pleased with the final product. It blends in nicely with the rest of my ADU vehicles and will have a place on my shelf for a long time. I only wish I had the capability to take better pictures as these really don’t do it justice. Here is a link to the LDD prototype thread for anyone who is interested: LDD Prototype

Simply beautiful. I really don’t know what else to say.

This is a very creative and open ended idea. I would love to see Lego do a series of these sets.

This is a great scene. I haven’t thought about that story in a long time. Bending the tree trunk slightly is a very nice touch.

This is a great build. The Gatling guns look very good. I especially like the panel line effect you got from the color variation in the bricks.

Well the parts have finally all been ordered. I ran into some interesting problems due to parts not being available in the colors I needed so some minor changes have been made. Being an LDD rookie, I didn’t realize it generated a parts list for you so I was just guessing at quantities at first. I’ll have plenty of spares! I’m sure there will be something that I forgot to get but with any luck I’ll have this thing built in about two or three weeks. Here's one last shot before the build begins.

I like it. The little AC face huggers are so much fun. If you can't terrorize your friends what good are they?
