I love these old sets Great reviews you've been providing

Would you say its easy to make it RC? It seems to have plenty of space in cockpit for steering motor but what about the drive? Great looking model

Only problem with gearbox is that you cant use all functions at the same time and maybe effe wants to have that possibility -

Technic 1h 2013

Other than the F1 all the remaining sets dont appeal to me at all... not complex enough and no sign of PF. They sure look appeling to kids with the pullback motion, which I think puts Lego down a level (the pullback thing). -

Lovely MOC These orange/black combos are becoming popular nowadays, and it does looks amazing! -
Am I the only one who gets bothered at the discrepancy in the scale between the different technic sets? For instance, lets take a technic figure, sit it into the Unimog and it will look like a baby, place it on the excavator and it will look too big, on the Crawler it wont even fit I suppose. And these are all flagships, so I'm comparing in the same class. This kinda bothers me

Just found out this lovely MOC by Henry Quarmby in mocpages using only parts from the 8110 "Motorized propeller. Motorized Pistons. Motorized compressor and pneumatics. The same Motor drives the pistons and prop and compressor. There are 3 pneumatic switches in the cockpit. The left one controls the left aileron up and down. The right one controls the right aileron up and down. the one in the front center controls the rudder left and right." http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/317028

10228 Haunted House
Pedro Antunes replied to Ricecracker's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I was thinkin the exact same thing -
The ideia is to share the building, for instance in 8110 there are 5 books, one for cabin, another for crane, etc... This way all the family can be bulding different parts of the set at the same time and then assemble it. Makes no difference to me, actually I prefer to have several "thiner" books than only one very big.

2013 Speculation?
Pedro Antunes replied to andythenorth's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I want bigger tires and bigger pneumatic cylinders -
I dont get this "minifig trend" all of a sudden LEGO is more about tiny figures than it is to actually build stuff I buy sets for parts, I could not care less about the minifigs...

@Alasdair Ryan Not that vehicle but the same principle, what you're mentioning is what I already have... what I need it to be able to rotate the claw by RC but also have it rotating freely just by itself. The claw on that skidder can be rotated by the operator but also rotates on his own when its dragging stuff, that's what I need. @chorlton The clutch gear is too tight... @Dluders Thanks, that will really help... lets see what I can achive based on that.
