"We intend no harm. Just checking to see if we might get the goods we bought somewhat earlier?", Eric said calmly, trying to defuse the situation. No way he wanted a fight here, not this time. "I really don't care if your enterprise is legal or not. We all have to make our money somehow."

Eric muttered and accepted the stupid teddy bear. Like Heckz, he was disappointed to find the magic shop sealed. When the others moved past the Golem, Eric followed them. Sorry for any lack of updates on my part. I've been unexpectedly busy the last days and only havr limit internet access. I'll try to post as often as I can though.

When the party entered the slums, Eric noticed the Greenskin and couldn't do anything else but hear him lamenting about his hunger. "Tsk, typical poor folk, always complaining about their situation rather than do something about it.", Eric thought and rolled his eyes. "Talking just loud enough so everybody can hear his sorrows. Two can play that game." He smirked menacingly and took the apple out of his pocket and polished it in his hands. "My, my," he exclaimed, to none in particular, but loud enough for the Orc to hear, "that is one juicy apple I've got here. It would sure do me well to eat this fresh piece of fruit in this hot and sweaty city. Too bad, I'm already too full from overeating at the Resort. Maybe I should just toss it away? The birds would probably enjoy the apple, too." Eric then pretended as if he hadn't noticed the Orc before and now specifically turned his attention to the Orc. Grinning, he said: "Hey mister, you look hungry! I've got this sweet apple, want to trade something for it?" He obviously wouldn't just give the apple. Everything comes at a price after all.

Eric grinned as he received 240 gold pieces. The gold was shiny and its weight ample, just the way he liked his riches. "If we're all finished here, let's head out", he said and went to the Slums.

Pilot Riru Ryuu checking in! I'm not able to have my proper sigfig up already, so there won't be a build from me this week. Also, I'll be using a placeholder avatar until I can photograph my actual figure. Once I get that, I'll update with a background story . Name: Riru Ryuu Profession: Pilot Employer: Kawashita Group

Nice build! Clean looking and futuristic with a hint of Asian culture. I love it. This MOC convinced me that Kawashita would be the way for me .

Alright, this looks way cool! Kawashita already has tons of people, but they do appeal to me the most, so I'll also be joining them, if that is okay. I don't think I'll make that much of a difference, since I probably won't be a weekly builder . I just want to join in on the fun and have something to spur me into building a bit more. Anyway, I don't have a picture of my sigfig yet, so I'll just use this placeholder (which is weird 'cuz my sigfig will be a chick ) . Name: Riru Ryuu Profession: Pilot Employer: Kawashita Group Background story and proper sigfig picture will come later!

"Alright, fine then," the Nord grumbled as he traded the hat for the apple. "I'll go to the Slums next, so I guess I'll be coming with you," Eric then said to Sarge and Boomingham. "First, let's see this genie's forge." Eric sells 6 Silverfish Wings ((WP8x5)x6) = 240G, if I understand correctly?)

[WZ17:O17, Desert King] The Titan's Head

That brick built skull is perfection! Bravo, well done! -
Eric saw Sarge walk over to the woman selling apples and quickly followed his steps. Once there, he put on a warm, sheepish smile and said: "My partner here is only telling half-truths. See, you do look hot, but not solely literally speaking, of course. Secondly, I am the one selling this nice straw hat." Eric procured the hat and put on his best salesman antics to present it. Cocking an eyebrow, he spoke: "The straw used is 100% natural and hand-picked by our well-paid manual laborers. There are no added dyes, nor chemicals. Due to the nature of its design and the specific type of straw we used in making this hat, it shields the wearer from the sun quite well, if not perfectly all the while making the user look quite stylish. This is most likely the best Straw Hat we ever produced." "Another great feature of this hat, is its extremely light weight. It truly almost doesn't exceed the weight of a big feather. All the benefits of this Straw Hat , without any of the burdens." Still holding the hat in one of his hands, Eric pointed his index fingers at the woman and put his thumbs up. He flashed another great smile and ended his pitch: "Best part: Straw Hat could be yours. TODAY! For only 100 gold, taxes included! Straw Hat , putting the 'cool' in 'coolie'. Buy it noaaaw"

Eric lay his long arm around Sed's shoulders and grabbed him closer. He grinned impishly and with his index finger, the Nord prodded the hotel owner on his chest. "You are severely underestimating our finding skills, friend." He then let go of the man, and released his as quickly as he had taken him in the first place. Eric sighed and rolled his shoulders. He put up a fake friendly smile towards the hotel, which faded fast. Sliding his hands through his hair annoyedly and then pointing at Sed again, he coldly stated: "we'll be back". Not breaking eye contact with Sed, Eric took some steps backward towards the door, then turning around and exiting the building. Rolling his eyes, he was soon to catch up with Sarge and also headed towards the docks.

"There are cheaper ways to get bolder, faster and luckier in life. I'll pass on that meal. The beautiful sights, now those might be worth 150 gold, but like my older companion here noted, we're actually here to help the good doctor Jiv'ni locate his key." Eric grinned. "Let us search the beach now and we'll be back to check out those beautiful sights later. We won't be of any nuisance, as has been said: it's the small hours."

OOC: Late night travellers? I thought it was morning for Eric and Sarge Eric raised an eyebrow. He was a big spender, but 150 gold for some food and a bed seemed a little over the top. "Care to elaborate on this fine here establishment? Anything worthwhile to tell us to justify that price of yours?" Eric then turned to Sarge and in a hushed tone, he said: "let's not stay here too long. There doesn't seem to be a little of interesting stuff that goes on here. I'd rather see some girls on the beach."

OOC: Technically, the Eldurling comment was one of Eric's thoughts. He didn't say it out loud . I'll just pretend Sarge already knew about them . Eric chuckled, which slid into a grin. "No, I am not. Their domain lies in the west of Värtland. The islands I grew up on, lie in the east. I did serve with them for a while, though. I was a huskarl of the High King , whose veins course with Eldurling blood." The Nord smiled as he thought back of his days there. "Feisty people, those are. They have a passion for fire and gold. Difficult to please and quite temperamental. I should know, I used to be have a thing with one of them Eldurling girls." Again, Eric smirked and then laughed. "So, we staying here in the dunes or are we gonna explore some other parts of the city? I wouldn't mind checking out the slums. I'm itching to get my hands on another Amethyst or some other gem."

Awesome pagoda! I don't know why, but somehow it reminds of the Bell Tower from Pokémon . Great color scheme, details and use of techniques overall. Outstanding work .- 25 replies

Eric takes a handful of sand and looks at it intently before letting it fly away on the wind. The rippling of the ocean, the smell of the dune grasses and the coarse feeling of the sand reminded him of home. He reminisced, thinking of Värtland: the Howling Isles upon which he grew up, the western mountain ridges and volcanoes he visited later in his life. The domains of the Great Clan Eldurling, claimed descendants of the mighty Torrik himself. The Nord forced himself out of his daydream and began to speak, trying to kill the silence: "In Värtland, we have several black beaches. The sand there is dark, black and gray. You ever seen anything like that, Jon? Where are you from, anyway?"

He's obviously parodying that scene from Titanic. Would be kind of hard to do with a fully dressed minifigure . Besides, it's only plastic . If you haven't seen Titanic, this is the scene. Warning: there is suggestive posturing and lack of real people clothing . I like the scene . It's simple but effective. I haven't mentioned it anywhere before, because I mostly browse the History forum and look upon the MOCs here in awe, but I really like the design of your 'rats'. That snake-as-tail is very clever .

Eric kicks up some sand while looking around. "Really, there's nothing but sand here? I wonder what happened last night..."

"Riiight, because skulking around in the dark at night, wearing a skull mask doesn't attract any attention, at all," the Nord sarcastically remarked. Eric shrugged. "Oh well, it's your loss." He turned to Sarge and asked: "Where to now? Regroup with Boomingham or that wizard boy? Although, I actually have no clue where he ran off to."

Eric decides to buy a Grating Stone and save the rest of his money for later. He handed over 150 gold, but not before asking: "You wouldn't be interested in this Straw Hat, would you? Excellent quality. Blots out the sun rather nicely."

Like I thought. I was just double-checking. Thanks!

Eric smirked. "I believe we understand each other perfectly well. Greed is good." The Nord moved closer to the dealer. "Quite the assortment you got there. You must've got some pretty good connections to get all that stuff. Want to lift a tip of the veil on your secret? I wouldn't mind earning some coin on the side myself, see." Eric reached into his pocket, fumbling for some gold. He was itching to spend some, but couldn't decide on what to spend it yet.

If I imbue an item with Scroll of Nimbleness, I'd just be immune to Nimble, right? Or would I become Nimble permanently instead? I think it's the first, but you know, just checking. I don't want to miss out any good stuff here .

Ooooh, very nice . I'm loving all these spaceships based on "real" boats. The Bionicle figurehead is a nice touch here. My only critique is the size of the tower. It kind of takes away from the ship's overall sleek look and feel. It's a bit heavy. The ship is still awesome overall, the tower's width is really my only gripe .

"I actually wouldn't mind some of the more mundane items. It makes you wonder why people don't sell stuff like that on everyday markets: there's a demand for it", Eric shrugged. "How much for an Amethyst, or a Grinding Stone and Bright Polish? Maybe even some Overkill Gloves. While I'm at it: magic isn't really my field of expertise, but I've heard of magically enhanced items making people Nimble. Do you, by any chance, know where to procure a Scroll that causes Nimble, or other items that deal that effect?" The Black Marketeer probably wouldn't be able to procure much of what Eric asked, but it was worth the shot and he was here anyway, in the midst of night, without anything else to do.
