Thanks! The stage I'm at right now took me about a day or two to reach. I always try to build a mock-up first, when working on a big MOC, so I can test several techniques and such before ordering the final parts. I understand your idea, I could try to do it like that. My main gripe here is that I'm afraid the studs of the sloped plates would clash with the otherwise nearly studdless sides of the ship. A classical bireme rear would also look nice, I guess. But those are mostly even harder to build due to the round shape of them. A twin-tailed rear like the ancient Byzantian dromon would also look nice and suitably "fantasy"-like. Hmmm, choices, choices, ....

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
Khorne replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow! These look awesome ! This is definitely one of the better Series TLG has released and we haven't even seen all of the figs yet! I just love the djinn and the butcher . The greaser is certainly a must-have for me as well, together with the minotaur and the Highlander. The others are nice as well, but don't quite seem to grasp my attention as the other figures I listed. -
Sorry for the double post! Apparently, nobody is really interested in my WIP . Anyway, I received some BL orders and I've made some progress in the build. Here are the pictures for those interested. Side view. Atlantean soldiers are inspecting the new vessel. Side view, this time without the soldiers. Bird's eye view. I still need to work on the left side. Semi-frontal view, the bay doors will be changed, most likely to Dark Red. There you go! Obviously it's still WIP, but maybe there's more for you to comment on than my last post. I'm still puzzled on how I should make the back of the ship. C & C is welcome .

Greetings! I'd like to present to you my latest project. It's a ship based on ancient Greek and Roman designs, albeit with a touch of added fantasy . I wasn't sure if I wanted to show you WIP pictures or not, but I ended up doing it anyway. I think it's good for me to show the WIP, cuz it's always interesting to get some C & C! Anyway, on to the MOC . So far the background part. The following WIP pictures are pictures of a mock-up a made using various parts I had lying around (BL-orders have been made, so I'll geet the parts in the right colors soon!). I built this mockup over my LEGO Viking Longboat (didn't want to destroy it ), so the "tail" of the ship is DEFENITLY NOT representative of the eventual MOC. I loosely based my design on this: It's the Atlantean Heavy Bireme from Age of Mythology. Pre-build phase 1: the mock-up Side view, red parts will be replaced by dark red ones. Close-up of the side. Still need to lengthen the outrigger and add paddles. Dark grey will be replaced with reddish brown. Another side view. It's the only side that kid of "finished" and presentable . Frontal view show the bay and landing ramps from which the Atlantean soldiers emerge to defeat the enemies of the Eternal City! As I've said, this is very WIP, but I can always use some C&C. The thing I'm kinda struggling with the most, is the color of the ramps. Can't decide wether they should be black, dark red or reddish brown . Any suggestions? EDIT Changed the resolution of second picture, apparently I forgot to shrink it.

While its culture is relatively well known, I was stricly speaking about Indian mythology and religion. I mean, the basis, the foundation of Pharaoh's Quest is Egyptian mythology. Even though LEGO absolutely doesn't follow any story of the real mythology, lots of its figures are taken from it: the scarab, Anubis, flying Horus mummies, etc. Frankly, all I know of Indian mythology is the blue guy with all the arms and the god with the elephant head . A Viking theme has been done before and if I recall correctly, it didn't really sell that well.Maybe they could do a theme build around the exploits of Alexander the Great? That way they can combine multiple countries/cultures .

I also believe there will be a second wave, for the reasons stated above, plus on it's PQ website, LEGO has given a hint that there will be a new wave of PQ. When you download the online comics, in the last panel of the fifth chapter Jake states: "Whaddya say, gang ... want to stick together for the next adventure? Maybe we'll even get to save the world again! (sic)". And if a kids' comic says there will be a new wave, why wouldn't it be so? LEGO wouldn't lie to kids, now, would they? I share Peppermint's thoughts on the presumed change of location. Egypt has been done, it's time to move on to something new, just like they did with the old Adventurers' theme. I don't think India will be the next setting for the next PQ line, due to it's mythology being too unknown to western audiences. If there would be a new line, I'd most likely put my money on Ancient Greece, as well. My biggest doubt here is, well, Ancient Greece has somewhat "been done" by the Atlantis theme . Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see .

Chivalrous Knight or Famous Gunslinger?
Khorne replied to Khorne's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I think the reason EB handles games like they do is because otherwise the forum might get cluttered with whole loads of different games and interest would fade rapidly. Plus, by deciding on who gets to run a game, the standards of the game are raised in order to get chosen, which leads to better games. But I do not deny the fact that you pointed which says it can certainly work otherwhise, too. You don't need [original LEGO] Western figs to create western themed figures. Stuff from the Adventurers, Star Wars and Harry Potter lines work great, too. Just look at my banner, only few figs are real 'Western' figs . Right now, there are no rules , but in the EBRP there was no minimum to be online. I don't know about any WW decals, but as I've said, many newer torsos and figs work for western, too. Plus, there the new cowboy fig that comes with the Minifig Series I. Also, some of the Farm theme figs can be easily turned into ranch hands, etc. -
Chivalrous Knight or Famous Gunslinger?
Khorne replied to Khorne's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I never stated that Dragonator gave his permission . This topic was meant purely as an inquiry as to if people are still interested in similar games. If there would've been enough response, I would've gone on and asked Dragonator. But since you have planned similar stuff already, I guess you can lock this topic then . -
Chivalrous Knight or Famous Gunslinger?
Khorne replied to Khorne's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I forgot it's been a long time since the original roleplay . Here's the link to the original discussion thread with links to character and story topics. The new Rp would be something along those lines, but in a new setting . -
Hi all, You probably can't make out much of the title, but I started this topic to see if there are still people interested in some sort of RP (like the old EBRP). Before I start something similar again, I want to see how people feel about this(plus, the mods will have to approve, of course). Now, to move on and explain the title. I had been thinking about possible new ideas for an RP and there are two options which I think are good and very likeable. First, we could continue along the lines of the old RP and stay in the medieval-ish/fantasy theme or we could move on to another. I strongly suggest Wild West as a new theme. Wild West has many possibilities and the genre in general has enjoyed a lot of attention the last few years through movies and games. If you choose to continue knight-style. I suggest we ditch the old factions and focus on the new factions (era 2000: Knights Kingdom I & II, etc.). More people will be able to join because these sets are still more widely available and more people own stuff from these lines. So, I leave the choice open to you. OR Looking forward to your thoughts.

Yep, who would've figured Bionicles were into bestiality .

& D14, St. Peter's Port: Old Town ST. PETER'S PORT was a bustling, thriving portal city on the southern coast of the Knights Kingdom. It was a central hub of all trade coming in via the sea and a main trading city between the Royal Knights and the Kingdomers. It was like that. Over the years, the city's wealth had takes its toll on the city. The population had fluctuated to a point where the necessary housing capabilities weren't available any more. The most important businesses moved to other cities and newly found ports. The population remained however and the part of the city, the most old part, fell in decay and destitution. It became a notorious place where lower class peasants who had fled the surrounding lands to work in the harbor came to live, and a breeding ground for thieves, criminals and other assorted scum. Old Town came to be deserted by rich people who took their possessions and moved up higher and the slopes away from the coast, founding New Town. Together with the nobles and merchants, law had left Old Town, too. The way lay open for rival gangs and petty warlords vying for power. Bran and Tobias strolled down the harbor, having just docked the Serpent. Their search for employment had brought them to this notorious hive of villainy and poverty. "Who or what are we searching here, actually?" Bran asked, whilst stepping over some drunk sailor. "People told me, we needed to look for someone who's a butcher" Tobias answered. "A butcher? Well, that's kinda vague, isn't it? And how will a butcher be able to help us? Have you even taken a look at this place? There's not a dime in town" Bran exclaimed, looking about disgusted. "Apparently the butcher we need is some infamous crime boss here, who kinda runs part of this dump. I heard he's not even a real butcher by profession. People say that's just how he disposes of his enemies" "What a sick town this is we've ended up in" Bran said and rolled his eyes. They continued walking through the small, winding streets of Old Town. The overhanging houses blotted out the sun, causing the streets to look dark and even more filthy. At every corner there was either some beggar, a drunk or a prostitute. After walking around for some time, the duo decided that they should just ask someone for the person they were looking for. "Butcher, eh, you say?" some old coot replied as they asked "...you'll find him down in The Rabbit Hole, the inn somewhat further down the road 'ere. I don't know why you'd need him, crazy type that guy is, I tells you" "Thanks, old man" Bran said and gave him a coin (actually it was a button) for his trouble. They trotted onward and came into a somewhat broader street that eventually gave way to a large, dirt, fenced square. The inn they were looking for, was situated about in the middle of this street, flanked by small, but not quite, butcher's shop. "Well, then: let's see how deep this Rabbit Hole is" said Tobias and stepped inside the inn, which doubled as a pub, gambling den and brothel at the same time.

Thanks, no problem . Sure you can use it for your avatar, be my guest. Well, there's not much to read right now is there ?

Since I don't have the Cedric head, I've made Kian using the Fantasy Era head (I think) you meant: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Khorne/EBRP/Characters/kianbyawesomestar.jpg There's no problem in bringing along boats . I'm cool with that, except the fact you're calling him a revenge-seeking bad guy. Vincent is a just really a gruff, easy to anger guy, whose mind has been messed up by stuff he's been through in his life. He's more of a tragic hero to me, a hero turned to zero, y'know, but I will enlighten more on his background in future additions, I don't want to give everything at once. Plus, he's not the guy to seek revenge, I mean of course he'll want the heart back, but he's not the guy wanting to kill the Bulls, otherwise he wouldn't have bothered helping them getting them out of the woods and to his house . http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Khorne/EBRP/Characters/Avatars/kiansmall.jpg There you go . He's name's spelled Bardock. Looks more barbaric . If I spelled it with a 'c' at the end in the past, it must've been a typo.

I suggest you read up on the last few happenings in the RP, so you'll notice the turn the characters have taken. As for the minifig form of Kian, I don't have the Gold Tooth head . My collection consists mainly out of older parts, so I'm afraid I don't have any of the newer faces. I do have this head though, it kind of looks like it... Anyway, see you around! BTW, I would've never imagined Kian to look like that in my mind. When I read your posts, I always figured him to be a kind, young looking guy. Never thought he would have golden teeth and an eye patch.

There, that's an important part of the current plot revealed . Stay tuned for more twists and intricate storylines . Here's a picture of a bunch of NPCs. What might their roll be? Who knows ? I'll write down their bios later on.

& G11, Lydenham: Vince's Cottage AFTER they had finished eating the meal Eirene had prepared for them, the three men went outside to catch a breath, leaving Eirene do to the dishes. "So, why were those men after ye?" Vincent started "I'm sure some officials had a pretty good reason to send those soldiers after ye. Mind you, those were no mere militias guarding the towns and villages of the Kingdom, those were members of the Lupus Legion, veterans of the Northern War" "The wot? The loony legion?" Bardock repeated, confused. "Tsk. The Lupus Legion, you babbling brute..." Vincent sneered back "...the 3rd Legion of the 10 Legions the Knights Kingdom has. These are professionally trained soldiers, used only in war. The last war they fought was the Great Northern War, which I am sure of you both known. The War between our nations. I used to serve in the 3rd during the War..." Vincent stopped and stared at the ground. His façade of toughness had fallen for a second time this evening. "Those men that were chasing you, those men I killed, they..I... They were part of the unit I commanded. They were my brothers, my comrades and I have slaughtered them. SO YOU'D BETTER HAVE A DAMN GOOD REASON!" Vincent shouted. His turned red in anger. "I'm sorry, lad" Bardock said shamefully "I wouldn't have a clue why those people came after us. I..." "I might have the reason" Kian stated. Bardock and Vincent both looked up at Kian, who was fetching something out of his pocket. In his hand he held an item that was wrapped in a filthy piece of cloth. "This is why" he said, unveiling what looked like some sort of large, oversized pendant. "What is it?" Bardock said amazed. "You cannot be serious!" Vincent exclaimed loudly "you idiot!" his voice silenced "that's, that's..." "The Heart of the Shield, indeed" Kian said. He looked confident and a smile formed on his face "courtesy of my friends Todd and Torik" "How did they get it? It's a publicly known secret it's kept away safely and heavily guarded" "Looks like it wasn't heavily guarded enough" Kian smirked. "So, what's the plan?" Bardock said, his mind still processing all the newly acquired data. "We go to destroy it..."

& G11 Lydenham THE trio of misfists trodded down the muddy road that led them out of forest. They had been walking for hours and finally they reached the outskirts of the small, rural village of Lydenham. Chickens were running freely around, chased by children. Vincent led the small band of warriors quietly towards his house. "Come on in" he said, gesturing inside his house. The fire of the hearth both lighted and warmed the small house. As soon as the trio was inside, Vincent slammed the door shut. His grumpy face brightened as soon as he caught a glimpse of his wife, who was working in the backyard. "Eirene..." he murmured and stormed out, grabbing her tightly. They hugged and both came back inside. "Who are they..." Eirene asked when she saw the two strangers "...and why are they wearing Bull's arms?" "People I helped in the forest. Don't be afraid, they mean no harm. State your names, you scoundrels" Vincent said, turning his head toward his visitors. His voice and complexion turned grumpier as he reached the end of his sentence. "Kian and Bardock" Kian stated. "Well, then, I bid you welcome in our humble home. I'll see to it you can get something to eat" Ereine replied.

Very happy, belated birthday from me too! Hope you got lots of Lego and Red Bull .
-
Thanks guys . Even though Lego no longer interests me as much as it used too, I still visit EB at least once a week. I just can't forget about you guys . It makes me happy to see you people remembering me too . Thank you all for the birthday wishes .

WhiteFang already explained things quite nicely, but I'd like to emphasize the army item once more. Don't go making armies and start wars, small scale adventures and skirmishes between characters are preferred, no nationwide conflicts, 'kay? I plan on continuing my plot the coming weeks, we need to get this thing lively again! I'm glad to see new people eager to play . *EDIT* Forgot to say I took the liberty of editing your character's picture, Dwarfinator. I shrank and brightened it.

& G11 AFTER some well needed rest, the trio of outcasts got up early in the morning. Vincent had kept watch during the night since he hadn't been able to catch some sleep. No new attackers had come. "Probably lost our track during the bad weather" said Bardock and sniffed. "Yeah, hopefully" added Kian "I'm sick of the unrest" "In your dreams, gents. These men won't quit, they're bloo'y relentless" "And how would you know?" barked Bardock. "I know because I DO! Trust me, I know these guys well enough" Vince replied. "Sheesh, no need to get all spiced up, here. Look, we're in this boat together, we need to decide on our next step" said the ever calm Kian. "We? There is no 'we'. There's you and there's me, I just happened to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time. Figure it out yerselves, I'm outta 'ere" "No, you're wrong, sir. We ARE in the same boat. You killed men, we killed men. This not some matter taken lightly. We need to get out of here, together" Kian stated. "He's right you know. He's a smart kid" Bardock added. "Fine, we head south. I have a small hovel just outside the woods. We can restock and continue this there" "South? As in 'South where Knight Kingdom is'?" Bardock asked. Vincent simply nodded. "Then you are a bloody Kingdomer!" exclaimed Bardock furiously. "DEAL WITH IT! I helped yer megablocks out then and I'm helpin' ya now. Trust me, Bull" snapped Vincent. Vincent nodded gruffly southward took a sip out of his flask and stepped off. Bardock and Kian looked at eachother, doubting, but eventually ran after him, catching up.

I'd prefer not to have one supreme evil being, I think that would lead to an all out, continental war and that's something I don't want . I prefer individual struggles/battles and multiple small bad guys over one Sauron-like type.
-
It's the mold. Lego has used two different kinds of molds for minifig torsos (sharp shoulders and round shoulders) since around the time the first Episode 3 sets were released, I think. Hope this helps .

Ah okay, I see. I'll change it right away. The color text got me confused . So, Gregraz'ar is captured by Wolfpack, correct?
