  1. Personally I really like Drifters Landing.
  2. you're brother is quite the builder! tell him to keep it up!
  3. The only place the grey havens would be acceptable is if it was the last set in the line. my vote goes to Minas Morgul yet again!
  4. you are not alone! It's certainly a mouthful. Personally I think it'd be really cool if the port city had several different names from the different languages of some of the more prominent tribes from Nocturnus, and then have a "common tongue name." I suppose that could come up with each person's take on it, but I think it would add a little culture to the mix because each name would have different history depending on the tribe it came from. If that makes sense...
  5. You make a good point. From a logical stand point the Mordor Battle Pack would most likely a better pack, and a lot easier to market and sell. I was looking at it like a dream set list rather than a marketable one. A $30 battle pack with the Witch King would be really cool actually, it'd make it a lot easier to get 9 wraiths. Unless they give him some kind of special unique printing, which I seriously doubt would happen.
  6. I'd agree, but it's so much more than just a city only featured for a few minutes, I think that's why I'd go Minas Morgul. Although a Mordor battle pack would be convenient... And on top of that, I feel like it'd be a little more likely to get some more unique molds/printing that would mix well with some of the existing options. (as few as they are).
  7. Unfortunately I think Star Wars is kind of a poor comparison. And as much as I like PoTC and Jurassic Park, I would much, much, much rather have a final wave of LoTR then any of those.
  8. I agree, that's exactly why it made me curious. I don't think it's very likely because it hasn't happen yet up to this point, where there have been plenty of opportunities, but it could be a sign that it might change in the last wave. Unless Deathleech's split wave theory is correct, then it wouldn't make any sense at all.
  9. As cool as that's be, I doubt it'd be on and solider, it'd be to expensive to produce on a large scale. I could see a more prominent figure with arm printing though. But that's just me being hopeful. It would kind of ruin the pattern though and make them stick out more.
  10. This, he just hid the side where the clips were. If you look closely at the trans black one you can see the marks. You can also kind of see the marks on the trans blue one on the opposite.
  11. These are really impressive!
  12. I don't think it's an "old" version of Bilbo. His hair is the same color as normal Bilbo. Unless you mean old like from a previous movie, in which case I'd agree that you were right. Although not what I was hoping for, it doesn't really surprise me that it's another Bilbo. I will most definitely be picking one up regardless! The arm printing is wonderful. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that version of Bilbo would be the only LOTR or Hobbit figure with arm print, right? Could that be hinting at something for future figures in this next Hobbit wave, or theoretical final LOTR wave?
  13. Although I agree with you completely on this, especially the CMF series, it just won't ever happen. There was a project on CUUSOO a while back called something like "dark bucket" that was 99 storm troopers and Darth Vader that was shot down. From what I recall, the major reasoning behind it was LEGO is a building you company, and the license they have (at least for starwars related stuff) needs to be centered on a build, not the figures, which requires a different license. Now I could be wrong, but it's probably pretty safe to assume that they have a similar license for the lotr and hobbit stuff as well. Meaning there would need to be some building aspect. That would have been the perfect though.
  14. I actually find that quite relieving. It's not very surprising, but with all the speculation about everything in either this thread, or the future lotr one, it's certainly nice to have a definite response, from TLG no less, about something.
  15. Most likely because he'll be wearing armor of some kind, (because of what everyone's said) and that was the armor that he wore previously. I think it'd be strange if he had new armor.
  16. Those eyebrows! I'm glad you found a good way to incorporate that! Using legs for is beard also looks really good!
  17. Ahh, thank you!
  18. I'd like see a dark tan or reddish brown warg before a black one. Precisely. Do you happen to know when that is?
  19. This may seem like a redundant question, but I'd really like to get more involved with the Guilds of Historica. I'm just not exactly sure where to start. I've made a (well three) sig figs with a backstory. I also know that I just recently missed the civil war been the Black Spire and Nocturnus. I was just wondering if there are any other pointers to help get things started. Thank you!
  20. Is there for sure going to be one? I may have missed something, but it's kind of hard to tell what's true and what isn't with all the speculation. :/
  21. I was actually thinking the exact same thing. It was Target that did that for the last one, correct? Fingers crossed!
  22. I'm definitely taking this as a good sign. The lotr line has been my favorite ever. I just hope they were actually selling more rather than being under prepared for the holidays...
  23. Yes, I do realize it's likely. But in the event that he was left out, it'd be a good place to put him. Also, I know this was brought up earlier, but I quick threw together something else that I thought worked for Braga, Braga by mrerikku, on Flickr Someone had mentioned that they didn't like the backwards torso idea because it make him look lesser than the general lake town guards, which I agree with. The shoulders are from Brickforge, but I feel like it helps boosts the whole captain of the guards look/idea. (also, I apologize if this is redundant, just wanted to put in my two cents.)
