This Maggie is definitely cute for sure. I wonder if she will be a prototype that allows Lego to design their own original infants (probabaly not).

If the rumored Friends Jungle series can be more imaginary, maybe we'll actually see large savanna animals there. Friends animals are somewhat different from the typical City animals, just like their human counterparts. Ironically, minidolls are meant to be more realistic than minifigures, but Friends animals look less realistic and somewhat cuter. Actually, as long as both Friends and other System themes introduce different kinds of dogs and cats ( chihuahua, husky, poodle), they can also be put together and considered as different varieties. Oh, I don't think we'll see the Friends version of Dino. I admit that lamb doesn't look like the typical animaml we expect to see in any Lego Farm, for what you described. Maybe we'll see when its parents appear in Friends.

According to this news, the Snow princess's are rumored to be official Disney Princess but we haven't see official news. But since it's all about movie money, it seems alittle ridiculous that TLC have to care about Disney Princess list and forgo any considerable benefit. And as said, I don't think TLG have to consider what "Princess list" is unless Disney restrict the characters and stories they can use.

Regardless of Brave and Tangled who are the past now, perhaps TLC would eventually make Frozen sets several months later. Howeverm I wonder If TLC have a diffrent strategy toward this franchise since they don't choose to make big movie money like other themes do. Since there are too many stories to choose from, I expect to see Disney sets come in every season.

Uhmm.... ? Is it? I don't think it's showing the interior of a building, or it must be something like the infamous Winter Village Market.

I wonder if all Friends animals could be directly used in all System sets. We actually already got a System lamb. They have a Friendish style print, but print can be changed if designers think they should do. I kinda appreciate Friends animal playbags because we can use these materials to create a MOC zoo. Friends focus on pets and riding, while the animals in City are mostly patrol dogs . The other places that have animals are Farm and Zoo, but now both of them don't appear in City, only in Duplo sets. I'd like to see Friends reintroduce the elephants from Adventurers. If Friends don't do this, we can only wait for another action theme or licensed theme coming with animals.

As a longterm TV show, it's kinda reasonable to give only waves each wave but keep it ongoing (unless the license can't prolong). Simpsons could still have news in the latter of 2014. However, I don't think I've heard Lego Spongebob 2014 rumors. Avatar.... uh..... I dunno.
-
Yes, that's kinda weird. Regardless of debates, there are still many unused Disney stories, and it's even more weird if TLC donesn't plan to make money with the latest Frozen. Meanwhile, Friends is still keeping on new waves.
-
Uh, I'm not saying that we should worry about those who won't buy Lego products, that's not the point. As as I mentioned in #952, it's not that the house set is bad, but from one house set we can't see what TLC's strategy is.

Lego will release the CMF series 12 after all?

Uhmm... I'm not very familiar with this franchise, It wouldn't target at young customers, or it doesn't show too many building ideas, though perhaps it's more original than Lone Ranger.
-
Well..... even it's not characters, we often think many other licenses have potential to release more than 20 regular sets, but as result they discontinued . Licensed CMF series is a good way to compensate for regular sets who can't provide enough characters (though in Simpsons' case so far, we don't know if there are going to be other sets and it's getting weird). However, a second series for the same license sounds weird because there are no other CMF series based on another license yet (not to say some people have decided to skip CMF Simpsons).
-
Well, I'm not confident in that since it could also result in "there would be nothing more if these don't sell". Yes, Lego isn't a charity organization, so I can't disagree either. I'm more inclined to see multiple regular sets come with a CMF series in order to make a complete selection of a license, which is what many discontinued themes really need. Simpsons' house is definitely the most important building in this franchise, but I'm not sure if one is enough or not.

The position and future of Friends and minidolls in Lego?
Dorayaki replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It's nice that Friends provide many different light colors that can bring greate visual combination and also do good to MOCs, not just lots of horrible pink (like the fake toy picture showed above) Well, Barbie and Kitty products do have other colors, though they're famous for magenta and pink. I believe many fathers who were KFOLs would also happy to see daughters playing Lego in the same way. -
The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Dorayaki replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Mentioned in page 59, it might be a preorder promo, though not knowing which theaters provide them. I meant most known specific robots have their own names such as Velma or Deputron. This DJ one could be called Disctro or something. Really cool, but it's a pity that it wouldn't be a physical set.- 2,626 replies

Uh...... I thought it's another alterego of Emmet. Obviously not. But why no specific name for this guy? http://goods.ruten.com.tw/item/show?21311185036494- 2,626 replies

Uhmm... uh..... nothing more than these? (at least in the first half of 2014 for now). One thing I'm worried about is the characters included in CMF, excluding the Simpsons (whom I don't expect to see), the confirmed ones such as Apu and Moe both run stores that fit in physical Lego products. However, would it mean that TLC don't plan to make any other set so they just leave other characters to be CMF? I hope they won't kicking off the 25th anniversary of THE SIMPSONS in a "little" way. And speaking of the topics, there are both the Simpson House and the CMF threads in Eurobricks. But if there are no other products in rumors for now, this thread would be useless in later discussion, wouldn't it?

Simpsons Collectable Minifigures aka Series 13 (non-official term)
Dorayaki replied to kasmca's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Uh, I mean that I hope the intervals could be smaller so that we can allow special series every year. But if TLC won't change their schedule, I'm not sure if special series should be there or not. -
Simpsons Collectable Minifigures aka Series 13 (non-official term)

Isn't it abit late, or, usual? If we have to wait for four months and the series 12 would be in September, it isn't different from previous years. -

At least there is Sea Cow, and the convertible vehicles do show the essence of this movie. After all, the movie is all about actions and wars, not the city, though I hope there could be a representive buidling.

Hairpieces that are overused and underused in Lego history?
Dorayaki replied to Dorayaki's topic in General LEGO Discussion
In HP, Bellatrix's looks like the only licensed hairstyle (not counting Hagrid). Interesting fact. But we can see that this piece could be modified from the first hairpiece (by cutting the ponytails), and TLG found it wasn't good enough. -
Does Lego's emphasis on minifigures change the way kids play?
Dorayaki replied to naf's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The difference between the old and the new Lego products is TLC now have done a more schematic plot with TV animation. One reason could be marketing, generic toys aren't competitive enough in its market. Also TLG need a story to based on and design more sophisticated vehicles, weapons and enemies. If there's no story, there's no such micromanager or nindroid. The Lego Movie is a showcase that how licensed, action, Space, City, Friends and the other themes can be combined together with imagination, which is similar with your statement. Still, it could be a problem that most kids would just follow the existed stories instead of imaging their own story, and the characters (minifigures) are still what they are in the original story.
