  1. That's great news, which Myer did you see it at? We contacted the two on the Gold Coast, Pacific Fair had no JW LEGO at all, and Robina didn't have the Raptor Escape set. :(
  2. My local ToyWorld sometimes gets what are usually exclusive polybag sets and sells them for $5 or $10, so maybe I'll get lucky. I already knew we couldn't get it from GameStop or EB Games, which is why I asked if anyone knew if it was going to be exclusive to another retailer, the way it came out in some Canadian stores without being bundled with the game. Also sometimes our Target and Toys R Us stores get the sets that are exclusive to Walmart in the USA, so I was hoping there was some news on that so I don't have to pay over $100 for a single set from America.
  3. Does anyone know if any Australian retailers will have the Jurassic World Gallimimus Trap or Raptor Escape? I have seen that Toyworld has all of the sets except these ones in stock. Prices are a little higher than Kmart.
  4. That is so cool! It looks like it can really be played, does it work well?
  5. I loved the Dino line, I made sure to get every set and an extra set or two to flesh out the display and give me some more pieces for MOCs. My boyfriend made a really cool outpost base by combining two of the smaller sets together. I really would love more LEGO Dinosaurs in the same style, even if it's not a continuation of this exact Dino line, just as long as they keep making dinosaurs in the same style as their other LEGO animals like they have with Dino. If it's a Juniors set or two with a friendly Stegosaurus or Ankylosaurus I would definitely buy a few!
  6. Well, I've had a look around town now, and while my local newsagency and Big W only had the Friends Bakery Stand with the Total Girl magazines, Coles had the Letterbox set as well as the Bakery Stand set, so now I have both. I haven't seen any others, so I guess it's just these two, and if we have a good look around we may all be able to find both if we want them. :)
  7. If you can't find the Bakery Stand polybag locally, I can buy an extra one and send it to you if you'd like. I'd really like to get one of the Mailbox polybags myself, but I'm sure I've only seen the Bakery Stand ones around here so far.
  8. I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but if you buy the latest issue of Total Girl Magazine (one of those small kids magazines that comes in a sealed packet) it comes with the exclusive LEGO Friends polybag Stephanie's Bakery Stand
  9. The Brick Bounty? How terribly unoriginal! What's next, the Blue Sea's Barracuda? The Skull Schooner? Brickbeard's Boat? Aargh... I do really hope they come up with a better name! I'm so looking forward to new Pirates LEGO!
  10. Oh man, I need a Galactic Titan still! I hope I can get one for that price at one of my local Targets tomorrow.
  11. There are two Haunted Houses left at Tweed City K-Mart.
  12. Thanks for the advice you guys, my partner called Myer and had to debate quite a bit with the woman on the phone, who told him he'd need to come up there with the voucher (we're in Northern NSW and a trip up to the Gold Coast just to fix someone else's mistake is out of the question) and he had to demand that she change the price for him now, and she finally caved. Talk about stubborn! Why do staff from these stores try so hard to protect their corporate overlords income from poor customers trying to get a small discount? It's not like they personally lose anything! I was also very lucky today, my local K-Mart had two Haunted Houses on the shelf, so I finally got to put one on layby! I feel like I can finally settle now that I have locked one down, I loved the Monster Fighters line and couldn't miss out on the Haunted House. I was wondering if anyone knew about a few of Target's policies. I have noticed that some people have been able to get Target to match prices from Myer's 20%+10%-off toy sale prices, getting sets cheaper now than they would if they waited for Target's sale. I was wondering what the magic password is to actually get them to match a price from another store? Also, if I bought something before their sale at full price, is there any way they will give me a partial refund for the difference in the original and sale price, or should I just return the item and re-purchase it at the sale price?
  13. My partner and I went up to Myer and put the LotR Pirate Ship, Horizon Express and Constitution Train on layby. We had to wait about ten minutes for a staff member to finally come over and serve us, there was no bell to ring or another way to alert them. The lady asked for a MyerOne card, which we handed her. After it was scanned, my partner asked her if the additional 10% came off, and she said it had. After paying the $10 deposit and coming all the way back home I checked the receipt and there was no additional 10% taken off the price. I feel so gutted, we're not wealthy at all and get treated like garbage by people who work at Myer.
  14. Target at Southport had Arkham Asylum the other day, I think the price was around $249 but I can't remember exactly.
  15. I hope I don't upset too many people by posting about not-LEGO, but I was at Target today and they had the Kre-o Optimus Prime (the large one 542 piece set) reduced to clear for $20! They also had Mega Bloks Warcraft sets reduced, including the 299 piece Demolisher Attack (which comes with a nice tower and a catapult/siege-tank thing) for $15! I'm really hoping the Kre-o Battleship will also go down to $20 eventually too, it looks like a nice ship to build.
