Haha. Well, it might be something to do with a previous post in this topic: Not sure why the spelling was distorted though... :skull:

Thank you (aack, half of the replies in this thread are me saying that). Two-Face does look good in a fedora, I was going to use his other hair but I actually coloured the white side black for something a while back. It is reversible but I decided not to use that anyway. If you do the suit like his, be very careful, I had to be because one slip of black on white would have been very awkward. It looks like you have a steady hand though, from seeing your DC minifigs. :skull:

Thank you very much. actually Poison Ivy isn't modified from the Lego version because I don't own her, but you will see how I did her a little down this post. Those are really good! A lot more characters than I would probably make! As for my puristness, I don't paint but you can tell that I do use marker pens, and I did use some handy nail clippers to cut up dear Batman's cowl to make Batgirl's. I agree on both accounts (my fave too), that is the best available head for her, probably, but the weird eye shadow doesn't suit her. Anyway, I have the photo's ready now, so enjoy them, in all their blurriness; A fuzzy group shot of my updated Batgirl (bad photo once again but the goldy bits are now yellow), Batman (normal but yellow face), and Robin (yellow with short sleeves). Clark Kent in better clothing, with Jimmy Olsen. My modified Two-Face (and henchmen), whose scarring and black side of suit goes all the way around instead of just in parts. Light side. Dark side. (You can easily see where I have added more burn but that was the lighting, it actually blends better than it looks. My custom Black Mask, using Lucius Malfoy's Detah Eater head from Graveyard Duel, but with more black and some lines covered. Photo doesn't show the face very well. Closer up to Black Mask's face. On one side, too much shine, on the other, too much shadow. The facial features look good in real life but aren't so obvious in this picture... Custom Poison Ivy, not like the official one but looking kinda like an Islander, in suitable attire nonetheless. I hope y'all like these. Again, sorry about the blur and stuff, it really annoys me that the camera can never get the photos just right. I'll edit them into the topic post soon also. :skull:

Funnily enough, there's already a topic on this, right underneath this one in the list: Link if you haven't found it Edit: Whoah! Three posts saying the same thing, all made in the same minute! :skull:

Well, with the return of the brilliant merperson tail in the Pirate ship next year, it is a possibility. It's been done with Belville too, I'd love to see more Lego merpeople. :skull:

Oops, my bad. I guess you are much closer to Antarctica than I am though. That stuff looks pretty cool, I can't make out what much of it is, but it's Lego so it should be good. :skull:

I've not had a Lego 'dark age' and probably won't. I don't build with Lego as often as I used to, but that is only because I have so much of it, I don't usually have the space, or can't finds the right pieces. I will always have interest in Lego though, I'm on EB more than I build with my Lego, ironically, but it is all because of space, I will eventually get my room sorted out. So, you could call it a dark age, but not exactly. Interest in other things, the effect of damn evil hormones, or 'shame' of Lego will not happen to me or put me off it. Yes, but lots of people are socially unacceptable. For me I will never want to have any sexual interest in males or females (or 'whatever' hehe), and I won't be put off Lego because of friends (and girlfriend), even though my friends would be more important to me than Lego. :skull:

Feh, a Batman Begins Ra's was never going to happen in this game, why should it? I like him anyway, looks like the proper comics Ra's. I still have to wait another 8 days until this game comes out, even then I probably won't get to buy it for a while. I really want to see everything in it, in my last post on this topic I was wondering about the Zoo's Company level; It would be really cool if I could see a screenshot of that. :skull:

ARTICLE: Set Design, Playability, and Other Considerations
Shoc replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Town
An interesting thought-provoking article, TheBrickster. My views on this are almost exactly a mixture of your first two replies, and some of the third. I admit I like sets cheap , and I will but them mainly for the pieces and minifigures. If the design is cool and the sets have nice techniques used in them, that will get me interested, but I will always be looking to the pieces. Regarding the design of the sets, I like buildings enclosed but accessible, and vehicles that look groovy. So long as I can use the pieces well afterwards in MOC's, but sometimes I will keep sets together if I really like them and can use them well. Minifigs in a set can really tempt me, also. :skull: -
Seriously though, was it meant to be obvious where you bought it? Because Antarctica was the only place I could think of. :skull:
-
I've only seen bits of the programme so I don't know the storyline, but the actual thing that put me off was the character designs and other visual bits. Just looks creepy... :skull:
-
No, nor can I. What's the point of having a set designed specifically for cheap impulse buys when out shopping if they're not going to be available anywhere? Yeah, I don't think I've seen them in any shops (except Switzerland) but I got the Good Wizard off Shop @ Home a while ago. A bit silly that they're not in many shops though. :skull:
-
Danke! I just watched the first episode... 'Twas funny and good animation, although I thought it weird that James Gordon spoke but nobody else did... Also weird that it's on the internet in such an obscure place, but it's really cool anyway. :skull:
-
Thanks. I'll be adding some more as soon as I sort out the photography - Batman villains this time; slightly modified Two-Face, Poison Ivy, and Black Mask. :skull:
-
Sounds cool, Lego animals always are. Anyone have a screenshot of original Lego animals from this zoo? :skull:

There's not loads of Brits on Eurobricks you know. It says under Bobskink's name and avatar and that: From: Gent, capital of Belgium :skull:

Ahh, I'm sure many many people would like to see the theme of Lego Batman continue. I certainly do. :skull:
-
Yes, it has. In another topic. And it's real. :skull:

I actually like Fry and Bender the best, but they're all good. :skull:
-
Oh yes, that would be the redder Azrael. I was thinking of the earlier blue and yellowy design. :skull:
-
Yes, that sounds great! I've never seen Azrael in a hood though, isn't Batman's cowl better for him? Maybe he does wear a hood too, I've only read a couple of Batman graphic novels with Azrael in... :skull:

Suggestions for future Themed Months
Shoc replied to The Rancor's topic in Forum Information and Help
Umm, nope. Castle Month ended at the start of May, you joined the month after. Then we had Indiana Jones month for a while, in July I think... :skull: -
Well, I went to Legoland today, and I did buy a smaller Exo-Force set (strangely they only had last year's sets) and... last year's only Harry Potter set, Hogwarts - Hell yeah! It's weirdly designed but a really good set for pieces, I thought I would never be able to get it, but it was cheaper, at £44.99. I haven't opened it yet, but I will build it soon. :skull:
-
Ooh, those are pretty cool. Good job on them. :skull:
-
Well, those two are the obvious ones to go for. Haha, only half of them are purist (or is 6 out of 12 many?). It may look like Clark Kent, Lex Luthor and Lois Lane are, but they each have had a little bit of a touch-up. It's easier to spot with Clark than the other two. I am only kind of a purist though, in that I don't mess up Lego pieces unless I definitely have enough spares, like with Batman's cowl. :skull:
