Maybe... I wonder how many skeletons he took with him in that time machine. It must have been a lot. Either that, or he just brought a few along and the others multiplied (and mutated into the Castle skellies)! Ah, this off-topic theory is inspiring me now... :skull:

Ah, but they may have released Indian kids. You just wouldn't know because they would have had normal minifigure legs! No, good thinking. :skull:

For all older Member's who never introduced yourselves...
Shoc replied to Legoman's topic in Hello! My name is...
This topic hasn't got anywhere for a while... I'm sure that about 30-40% of active EB users never introduced themselves. :skull: -
What New Themes or Sets would you like TLG to make?
Shoc replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
As much as I'd love for that, there's no chance unless we see a return to the series on the screen, and I don't think we will. :skull: -
3D Brickthing, I think you've figured it all out! Hehe. I nearly made a topic about my Ogel theory, before. Now it seems we're getting it in this topic anyway. :skull:

Shoc replied to Shoc's topic in LEGO Licensed
Haha! I'd love to see all of them produced in the ABS (except Black Mask, I made him easily) but my top 4 would be: Killer Moth, Batgirl, Hush and Man-Bat. I find it interesting that Commisioner Gordon is the most wanted so far, having such a simple design (though he is one of my favourite characters). :skull: -
Jack Napier - origin of a supervillain
Shoc replied to ED-209's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Haha, I like it! The first time I saw that face, I thought it was the spitting image of the Joker, but in normal flesh colour. Obviously I'm not the only one to think that. :skull: -
I've never used the rubber band holders, although I have loads, maybe I could put them on Bricklink sometime. I found in the most recent set I had with rubber bands that they came in a box. I think it was the small Power Miners set with the orange barb that goes in and out. This may well be the death of rubber band holders! :skull:

I use mainly boxes and drawers, but some containers I've found particularly useful are these ones. They're like large boxes, but you open the diagonal flap from the side. They're easy to get pieces from and to store models, I find them really good. Just don't ask me where I got them from, because I can't remember. :skull:

Yeah, that's really weird. There's certainly a lot of Lego sets which may cause offense to other religions, and we've had a lot of wizarding sets, particularily Harry Potter... I suppose it is because of the older age aiming that Bionicle allows deaths in the storyline. After all, we all understand death by the time we're teenagers. That makes sense. Death does not equal fun. Just as much as a skeleton minifigure is a dead person. I'm talking about deaths that happen in the storyline (but you knew that). That's my theory too! The parallels between Ogel and the wizard are spooky! They look the same, they have skeleton soldiers, they shoot zappy things, and they both have skull-shaped castles! It must be the same guy... :skull:

Nice, and interesting, interview, Mariann! It was very informative and I found out things I never knew about model making at Legoland. I liked reading about the special touches you give Lego models, especially the rat in the lion's stomach! My mum's first set was also the Homemaker Kitchen, a really good set, and I love the mermaid minifigure too! Too bad that I probably won't be able to afford that ship... Your books sounds very interesting, as does your new job. What exactly do you do as a 'Freelance Lego Artist'? Is it just like building for specific things outside of Legoland model making, and getting paid for it? :skull:

Ooh, that's really nice. It certainly captures the feel of the original sets (which it should, as it's made of them) and I think they were outstanding. The Achu minifig for Adventurers, although I love it, doesn't really go, but as TLC never released a shaman figure, it will suffice. Nice Indian kids too! :skull:

Hear hear, Batbrick! You've just summed up everything about what a good superhero story should be. :skull:

I'd say Rapid River Village. I have that set and it's really great, a proper village! I'd love to see the Native Americans return. :skull:

We may not be getting any more Batman sets, but we can always hope. Batgirl - image Commissioner Gordon - image Spoiler - image Huntress - image Azrael - image Black Mask - image Clayface - image Killer Moth - image Mad Hatter - image Manbat - image Ra's Al Ghul - image Hush - image Comments welcome. Edit: Whoops, I made the title too long! :skull:

Ahah, Eilif, thanks for the information. You're like an encyclopaedia on obscure Lego facts! I did wonder if it was the no violence policy. I still think there might have been deaths in the Bionicle storylines though... :skull:

Aww, that's ! Yeah, same here. :skull:

Three years late though, if you look! :skull:

Well, he is already the evil wizard leader of the skeleton army in the newer Castle sets, albeit with a beard. :skull:

That was a really speedy reply, and once again, it looks awesome! Martian Manhunter is one of my favourite looking superheroes, and you've kept that great look while having him in Lego form. I can't stop praising your great work! :skull:

Wow! Your Wonder Woman face decal is great, as is the Green Lantern's body decal! You are a brilliant Lego artist. I like the muscled version of Robin's torso just the same as the creased one, that wasn't a complaint before. All your decals look how they would as official minifigures, so really well done! Have you tried Martian Manhunter, body and face? That would look really cool... :skull:

Self-Propelled Dewback Dew Drinks Dispenser
Shoc replied to green dewback's topic in Watto's Junkyard
Haha, I like it. Very creative, and a literal interpretation of "dewback"! Good luck in the contest, I love your entry! :skull: -
Are you a proffessional artist? It certainly looks like you should be! I loved your previous picture of the Native American, and wanted to see more. These images do not dissapoint! I love your style and these pictures are really great looking, if TLC ever do release elves, I'd want them to look like your drawings. I especially like the dancing elf in the first image. :skull:

I love reading fiction stories, and writing my own, so I always have an interest in the storylines of Lego themes... But one thing I've noticed is that (apart from Licensed themes), minifigs (or their animal counterparts) never die in the storylines. Even a lot of the already dead ones, like mummies and skeletons, come back to life to fight adventurers and knights! Not even Ogel died, in the end. Why is this, and what do you think of this? Are there actually any exceptions? Is it because of the no violence policy? :skull:

Batman was actually one of my top favourite Lego themes, so I am very dissapointed to see it go! I like Batman anyway and the sets were very well done (mostly), this is a crazy descision on TLC's part. Yes, it seems really weird to release the game just as they are ending the theme. That game is probably my favourite computer game ever, and bursting with great ideas for new characters and sets! Now we won't get that... Yeah! I do like SpongeBob, but I much prefer Batman and the sets are much better, yet it just stops, just like Harry Potter did! That was also a great theme that gradually dissapeared. I always wondered that. I'm from the UK myself, and I got the first wave of sets from a local store that sells foreign toys, and the Batcave from Legoland Windsor (the only Batman set there). At least they started selling on Shop@Home, but I missed my chance to buy any of last year's sets. What was so bad about the Batman theme to cancel it, even after a complex videogame was made from it! I thought it was brilliant, obviously some fool at TLC decided it wasn't. I'm even considering using Bricklink for the first time ever, to get some of my missed sets/parts, but they seem very expensive at the moment! :skull:
