Very nice work, I really like the shape of the Kawashita building and the little rover looks great as well! Nice touch with the tracks!
-
Great work on the walls! The section right above the doorway is also really nice and I like the way you did the bookshelves!
-
That lit up shot... It looks almost like fireworks - definitely a good thing! Excellent work with the terrain too!
-
Go get 'em! Neat little build. Oh, and I want one of those swords too now!
-
Oh yes! Give it a shot anyways - we're all about improving. Trust me, it would be really hard to be worse than I was when I first joined... I was building stuff like this: Now I can build this sort of stuff... still got a ways to go of course, but I dare say it something of an improvement!

Very nice build, some neat colors you used here! I really like that little mech and nice touch with Jed's change of headgear! And I'd opine that it would be hard to eat ice cream underwater.

Location: F09 Tags: Submarine, Land Vehicle, Vehicle You know, I'll have to admit that Awesominium is really a well named element. All those purple spots are just so awesome! But you know what's even awesomer? A whole lake full of it! So beautiful! *kkmmkkmm* Guy? This is Dr. Long, do you read me? Yes... that is, I mean, I think my communication system has just started to malfunction... maybe you'll have to call back tomorrow... Right, whatever. I'm in the middle of an executive meeting here, so I'm just phoning in to remind you that there's a sub on the back of your truck... What's that? I'm really not quite sure I'm catching everything there, Dr. Danielle. Yeah. Anyway, since I'm the scientist here on the board, I've got a mission for you... Excuse me? I think I must have misunderstood something... must be this lousy headset, do you think maybe... Guy. Didn't I tell you I'm in the middle of a meeting? I really need you to stop interrupting so we can get this over with. And didn't I tell you that I can't hear you?! At least, I wish I couldn't... Yeah, whatever. I got it already! So, we've got some radar evidence that suggest that this lake has a fairly extensive underground base, a lot more than meets the eye. I've decided that your job will be to unload the sub into the lake and take it down there for a dive. Bring up some specimens when you come back and keep an eye open so you can report everything. Sorry I can't walk you through it, but Lord Business has been eyeing me kinda suspiciously for a while, so I've gotta go! Catch you later! What?!? Dr. Danielle!!! Get back here! I can't believe she would just hang up like that. Danielle! Do you realize how small that sub is?! I can barely fit in there myself, and you want me to stick some slimy seaweed in with me? And do you realize that last time I tried water exploration my sub was just about crushed by a giant hand?! Executive meetings! Just you wait! Just wait until I'm the third branch executive! And you know what's the worst thing? It's all done in the name of science! A few pictures of just the vehicles: The sub is something of a smaller version of my last sub. For the record, a minifigure does fit inside. Not a whole lot of wiggle room, but it fits! As a matter of fact, this was the base that the other sub was supposed to go on... well, for obvious reasons, it didn't fit. That happens a lot to me. In fact, this base was a result of trying to find somewhere to put that pink flower. It didn't really go though, so I got three builds out of one, so to speak, and had to do three times the amount of work, too! C&C are welcome! I really liked Bob's build with the purple in white rock, so I borrowed that concept again and threw in some dark red while I was at it. And now I guess I have to build an underwater section... which I actually wasn't planning on, but somehow it snuck into the story!

You bring up a really good point about the lore. A lot of people seem to find that a hurdle. I think actually though that that's sort of a misconception; once you get into it, I think most members in general would agree that this is one of the most loose RRGs in terms of story - there really is no official cannon that anyone needs to know. As long as you read the pinned topics and get a general feel for what sort of geography is located where and maybe a few of the main towns, you shouldn't have any trouble fitting in. However, I can see how someone coming to it would look at the thousands of threads and go, "I am so out of the loop!" But really, it's not necessary to know all that to join - there's way more stuff you really need to wade through to join LoR, for instance, and possibly even AG since it's a fairly complicated rule system. It does seem difficult to get that message across to a potential joiner. "No, seriously! You really don't have to know all that stuff!" (Hey, even I don't read it all. ) As for a written book... wow. That - would be an undertaking.

Believe me, I tried with that roof. Mind boggling stuff. I had this awful looking curve that just suddenly fell apart at one point and I thought, you know, it looks way better without it. So I just polished it off and called it good. Thank you however! The vines were my favorite part... so beautiful...

The foliage is definitely a stand out here but the rock is really good as well! Your last two pictures really aren't that bad - have you considered doing a little more post-photography editing? Just a few adjustments to brightness and contrast would improve it 100%! The first picture of course doesn't really have a focus anywhere. I'd suggest making sure your camera's ISO setting is 100 or, better yet, 80 - and also, of course, it helps to be very careful to hold still!

@those who asked about the Ladies' Lounge - Nope, I'm afraid I don't have access; I didn't even know it existed. I've thought about getting a Lady star, but after I get to Arch Duke (just so I can hit all the levels). But that might be a while! Yes, I have to agree with you - in one way it's kinda ironic! AG is probably taking a lot of time away from those who are involved both in it and in GoH, but I don't think you have to worry about anyone completely switching (as long as you're on EB, you'll probably at least pop into GoH once in a while). The good thing about AG however is that it has a potential end (might take a year or two, but it does have an end - which, when your talking something as intensive as a build a week, is really necessary). I also agree with Milo's analysis of the problem - getting people to stick around in general. (That might have been obvious from my previous comment though!) Seems like several of the MOCing RPGs are at this phase... they've been going for a couple of years, so how do you keep the original groups involved and attract new builders? Also, as it begins to seem like these RPGs are almost "permanent" it makes it easier to say, "I'll take a break and come back later." I'm not suggesting that GoH has to end however (I think what we've got with the various Books is good in terms of that), but we seem to be at the stage where some sort of innovation is necessary, probably after the Nocty challenge. I actually have been thinking for quite a while (since about the middle of the Kali challenge) that it would be really cool to do a collab between all the active FFOLs of GoH. But I figured I'd wait until one or two actually showed up... and so I waited... and waited...

@Kabel, Yeah. We had three. Whoohoo! (Not at the same time really, though.) I think it might have something to do with it being less "cool" for a girl/lady to be interested in LEGO as opposed to a boy/man; it probably comes across as more weird and thus is easier to drop. And it's also probably harder for a FFOL to get as "addicted" [caveat: I don't like that word, but nothing else seems to fit here!] in the first place (though, I didn't seem to have any trouble ). What keeps me interested in GoH? Um... er... hmm. That's a good question! I'm seriously having a lot of trouble trying to pinpoint a reason. I guess I'm just a stick-to-it sort of person, and of course, I like it. And anything that offers prizes catches me (though serves me right, I never do win in GoH! - and of course, prizes aren't always offered anyways). Kaliphlin also had (we seem, sadly, to have lost it a bit last challenge, but hopefully it will be back!) a strong team feeling with a sort of permanent inner core that kept everything together... though perhaps that permanent core isn't so permanent after all. However, having that did help to keep me (and probably others) interested, I think. So basically, if you want my opinion, I don't think the loosing FFOLs syndrome is GoH's fault (though, to be sure, the last challenge may have contributed slightly. In one way, it was a tremendous success, but in another way, it seems like we're still recuperating from the burn out!). I think it's more that it's just plain harder for a FFOL to find time and will to be part of the FOL community - not the broader community, there seem to be quite a few FFOLs there, but the select Medieval MOCing community. I don't really think that there's a quick fix solution. But I do think that things that will attract more members from the ranks of those who aren't already Medieval MOCers will also attract (though in proportionately smaller numbers) FFOLs as well. Speaking of which, it does seem to me like we could maybe use some new blood! Well, that's my two cents.

Thank you! Thanks Garmadon! Thank you!

Thanks! Grapes grow ginormous in Kaliphlin! Thanks Garmadon! Thank you! As a matter of fact, I was thinking of your build with regard to the roof color! As they say, "he who rings the bells can't walk in the procession" (I guess that's a rather archaic proverb, but anyhow! it fits); I can't build everything! Actually, I thought about it, but there really wasn't enough space!

Slim margins... Oh well, I'm evidently doomed never to win a GoH contest, so I'm not disappointed. Congrats to all the winners!

Really neat job, the lime green and gold go surprisingly well together, and you've got the perfect amount of underwater detailing!

Great build dG, the light blue looks so pretty with the tan! I'm going to have to make a mental note of that. Very nice touch with the plants and mat on the roof top, also really like your use of those pillars!

Did you expect me to get a 9?!? Edit... next week though...

And... 63 credits to Bob please.

Thanks Graham! Pretty soon you'll be building stuff this size, so just keep plugging away! Thanks! That roof sure gave me some trouble! Thanks LV! Thank you!
