But the Nova Terreli forts are public property, not private. This would be much different if someone was talking over a private, licensed artisan or something. As said, the fort kabel built was never even licensed - not even by the crown! It was just tacitly assumed to be one of the two previously un-MOCed forts already located at Nova Terreli. It doesn't have to be. Why can't Fontonajo take public forts over, in character, given the storyline of revolt from the King? They aren't kabel's forts - they're Eslandola's forts. And the storyline went that the King granted them to the Viceroy, but when the Viceroy disappears (I don't mean OOC, I mean, IC, kabel actually MOCed the Viceroy lost in the jungle!), I don't see anything wrong with the command of the forts being taken over by someone else, any more than I would see something wrong with mayors being changed if one mayor disappeared and acknowledged his disappearance.. I'm sorry if kabel was annoyed by this action; I got the impression that what he didn't like was the bickering over EGS subjects. I think it would be easier to talk directly to him if this did bother him, so I'd suggest setting up a PM on the subject if you think it needs to be discussed further.

Very nice little fort Elostirion, the colors are great and the way you did the entrance is really unique - in a good way! OOC: Maxim, you might be overreacting. Elostirion hasn't taken anything over OOC - he's just "occupying" a fortress in character that belonged to the Viceroy (or really? Wasn't it a Royal Fortress anyways? In point of fact, it was never licensed, it was just grandfathered in. It doesn't even have to belong to Nova Terreli, if kabel would like to change locations), but since the Viceroy has disappeared (in character), it's perfectly conceivable that he's holding it for the Viceroy against the Viceroy's unruly troops. And Elostirion has already said that he's quite willing to defer to the Viceroy whenever he shows up. I think we're making mountains out of molehills here...

Most of you reading this probably remember that not too long ago, Guy’s Uncle decided that Eslandians were becoming too cooperative for his taste. Maybe he jumped the gun a little, but anyhow, he was determined not to stick around. But in fact, no sooner was he comfortably accommodated in an outbound ship – bound, by the way, for Otoño, that being one of the least civilized places he could run off to without too much danger of pirates – than a brilliant idea occurred to him. He’d plant a palm tree plantation, and inaugurate it with a tremendous hanging festival. But when he talked it over with Elaine (his wife), she had an even better idea. He’d grow these palm trees – a special variety, by the way, engineered to withstand even the heaviest debtors – and then transplant them. With Guy’s help, he’d get legislation passed to require each city to have a grove of them in the town square. Then no one would be able to escape the full rigor of debtor’s law! Well, actually, that wasn’t exactly Elaine’s idea. The conversation went more like this: “But, honey, what are you going to do with a plantation of palm trees? Sell coconuts?” “No! They’re for hanging people!” “Yes, that’s all very well and good, but what are you actually going to do with them? Bottle the sap for juice? Or use the fiber to manufacture a line of doormats?” “No! They’re for hanging people!” “Oh! I have it! Just grow a pretty variety, and you can transplant them. People love having palm trees in their yard – it gives such an exotic flavor. And cities will probably be glad to buy some for their squares and parks.” From that, to selling the trees specifically as gibbets, was an instantaneous transition for Guy’s Uncle. So, he planted a palm plantation. Every day, he walked the rounds, hanging a dummy on each palm tree, making sure that they would be strong enough to resist when the time came. And as soon as his first plant was ready to be transplanted... ...he chartered a ship and headed back to Terreli to find Guy and get him to ram this piece of legislation through the High Council. He was in for a rude awakening. To be continued! One last close-up! A bit of a repetitive build, but fun nonetheless. I tried to depict the palm trees still in the growing stage, so they're young trees just ready for transplanting! C&C welcome!

Guy K. Wyndzon hopes he's in good standing with Oleon. After all, he wrote a really nice apology on behalf of the King. He would like a share of common stock and two of preferred stock. Because, like Victor Servadac, he doesn't know what to do with his money, either. That doesn't mean however that before actually signing anything he wouldn't like to see what the price for common stock is.

Fantastic build ZC, as always - the snow is well done and the building looks really good with the balconies and corner stonework! I only wish we could see a few more angles!

I like where this (seems to be) going... good work with the storyline so far! The build itself is perhaps a little plain, as you admit - maybe varying the texture of the walls by doing one profile brick facing one way, and the next facing the other way, would have helped a little? Although the initial pose is pretty neat, and the floor, while simple, is a good color combination!

It might end up being pronounced more like metal than medal though...

I do intend to leave leadership entirely, actually. I've noticed that quite a few RPG leaders just keep going until they burn out, and then leave the game and leadership together, which I don't want to happen to me. But I'll hopefully still be around, probably taking an even more active part with my own story!

Anyone is welcome to host a mini-challenge. However, to avoid too much overlap, we ask that you coordinate timing with leadership.
