I'm digging that slick Alien Infiltrator. And the robo-suit looks good, too. If I get any of the new Mars Mission sets, this will be the one.
-
I'm breathless. That's phenomenal. I love the huge, church-like arch.
-
Awesome, that's gotta be huge. I admire a set that has a lot of play value, especially in the interior of a ship. How long is this ship?

This move makes sense, as there was a lot of crossover, anyway.

Meteor Madness (Part 4) just went live: http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=396079

Thanks, Batbrick. It's the difference between night-time shooting and daylight you're seeing, I think.

Review: 7627 Indiana Jones - Temple of the Crystal Skull
KDog replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
I really want to read this review but I'm afraid of spoiling the movie for myself. I feel like I know too much about it already. -
I'm sure Schwartz feels the same...

That comic was hilarious. I love the M:Tron accountant spouting off various percentages, like, "We're 63% doomed!" The M:Tron soldiers were awesome looking minifigs, by the way.

This is my entry in the Star Justice/Space Skulls MOC contest over at Classic-Space.com, but I wanted to show it in here, as well. The contest, keep in mind, requires that your MOC be created in LDD. Star Justice: Peacemaker The Peacemaker is a thunderously fast ship tasked with tracking down and capturing the nefarious Space Skulls! The ship includes a detachable prison cell that can securely house one Space Skulls villain! Notes: This model is inspired by the Galactic Peacekeeper from Space Police I. I wanted to bring back the idea of modular prison cells, which would seem to be a necessity for Star Justice as they combat and capture the Space Skulls. While LDD won't allow me to do it on screen, the Space Skulls minifig can be enclosed in the prison cell, and the prison cell can than be attached horizontally to the back of the ship. UPDATED: See below for pix.

A lot of the bases in my comic look like they're on the moon, and that's due to the lunar baseplates I keep reusing. Schwartz's house has been established (if you've been reading very carefully) to be on the moon of Tiberius, which is the planet the Raven's Port bar and the M:Tron squadron who like to brawl there are located. The Nebula Outpost and all other bases are located on other moons/planets. The Nebula Outpost is in this storyline again, and it will be clear that it's elsewhere. The joke about Schwartz showing worry on his ever-smiling face was intentional. I'm glad it worked. Vanilla Snowball was the name of a white (and deaf) cat that my friend and his family owned a few years ago. (My friend's kid named him, although they thought the cat was a she at first.) I loved that cat and it loved me. I used to play with it when it was a kitten and the cat always rushed to meet me when I visited, still remembering me months later, and would show its affection by nipping lightly at my legs. Unfortunately, my friend didn't really like the cat and the family didn't show it much attention aside from feeding it, and kept it outdoors. One day, Vanilla Snowball ran away and never came back. I'm really bummed about that, as they had offered to give me the cat, but I couldn't have a cat where I was living at the time. If they still had the cat, I could have taken it in now. So, my inclusion of a white cat named Vanilla Snowball in the comic is a little tribute to him/her. I hope the real cat is healthy and safe somewhere.

New comic: Meteor Madness (Part 1): http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/ "Meteor Madness" was the first storyline I came up with and scripted when developing Lego: Space - The Comic, but I held off on it because it seemed difficult to do as my first few comics. It worked out better that way, I think, for I was able to add elements I created when making the 33 comics that came before it. I thought it would be hilarious to have Schwartz live in a typical suburban house that just happens to be on a moon (which seemingly has an oxygen atmosphere and Earth-like gravity). In keeping with my desire to have all the sets in the comic be actual models Lego sold (or be based on those sets), I made Schwartz's house from instructions for the set 6370 Weekend Home that came out in the Town series in 1985. As that set costs mucho $$$$$ these days, I managed to acquire the parts I needed for much, much cheaper. The only major difference is that I had to substitute black bricks wherever the original had blue bricks. And I think the black looks better. So, nyah. And yes, unlike poor Galanos, Schwartz has hair under the helmet.

HA! That would be blasphemy.

The latest comic looks good on my laptop's monitor, but looks too dark my other computer's monitor, which is about ten years old. So, I might need to start brightening up the comics a bit (especially when they involve Blacktron) so everybody can see them fine.

Bummer, the Icon Fighter is unavailable due to a brick "stock-out."

You called it, zero. "Long Fall and the Law (Part 3)" is up: http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=392021
-
Yeah, I did have some difficulty with the camera angles in this one because using the laptop screen as the backdrop limited the angles I could shoot from. It was also very hard to position Freundlich to keep the hammer form falling. Maybe I should have lightened the images a bit so all those black objects stood out from one another. Darn Blacktron! The Sopranos reference is the cut to black at a suspenseful moment.

Part 2 of "Long Fall and the Law" is now up: http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=391967

I'm glad you like the black outline on the speech bubbles, but I only use it when I have two speech bubbles connected or have a white background. That's because the black line is more noticeably jagged. And because I'm lazy.

A new story, "Long Fall and the Law," starts today: http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=392783

I think they're in a Lego club together. Ask them; they're around here.

This is all great, but I have to give a special cheer for that awesome gumball machine. Ingenious!

Yup, lol, you're ahead of me. I have to sleep sometime. :) Today's comic is just a bit of silliness. Which will be in contrast to next week's story. Breaking Down the Fourth Wall: http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=391901 Lord of Pies, the DACTA newsroom is simply a desk I whipped up and a background using the DACTA logo I created and displayed on a computer monitor. It was very hard to get it looking right in photos.
