The penultimate comic in "The Gods of Rock" storyline just went up! http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=425452
-
Well, I'm glad to be wrong on this one!
-
Ahhh... And TRU exclusives aren't available on Shop At Home, at least to North American customers, right? So as not to conflict with TRU?

Part 6 (of 8) of "The Gods of Rock" is now up! http://drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=425449

The picture of its box I saw said "Special Edition" and others have talked about it not being released worldwide. But I hope you're right.

I want this set so bad! The shuttlecraft is great, very reminiscent of the ones in classic Star Trek. And that walker is both cute and deadly. Why did this have to be a non-U.S. exclusive?! I wonder if it will be ever be released here. It's one of the best Mars Mission sets! Why would Lego make it so rare???

He has some. He's more of a pop rock guy, to be honest, but I didn't think that sounded as funny.

New comic is up! The Gods of Rock (Part 5): http://drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=424405

I did manage to find an Internet connection, at least tonight. Part 3 of "The Gods of Rock" is now up: http://drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=423645

Well, I'm off to the beach for a week! I'm not sure I'll be able to pick up an Internet signal down there, so you might not see any posts from me during that time. However, I did work my posterior off this past week to make sure that comics wouldn't cease while I was away, so there are new comics scheduled to post automatically on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at 1 a.m. EDT (New York City time). Please feel free to read and leave comments/questions/criticisms and I'll address them upon my return. I do have a favor to ask. I'm hoping that someone might post here the links to the individual comics (The Gods of Rock, Parts 3, 4 and 5) that go up while I'm away. The way you get the direct link to each comic is to go to http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space , hit the back arrow that takes you to the previous comic, then hit the forward arrow that takes you to the newest comic. When you look up at the address bar in your browser, it will have something like http://drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=423069 . Copy the address you see, paste it here in a message, and you're golden. Thanks in advance in to anyone that can do that. It's not as complicated as I made it sound, lol. Anyway, I'll miss speaking with you guys this week. Bye!

Exactly, Zero, I'm glad you know that! :-)

I've had my younger cousins run amuck on the toys displayed on my shelves. It's not stuff being messed up that bothers me so much as when pieces go missing, which kids seem to be experts at making happen.

That's appreciated, Christine. Thank you! So, who is the first rock star (aside from Bono) to visit Schwartz? Find out now... The Gods of Rock (Part 2): http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=423130

Man, I really gotta get on the ball and make a banner for my comic.
-
That was a hard shot to accomplish. I didn't want Schwartz to say anything, just stare pleadingly at the audience. And old school Lego faces don't offer much of a range of expressions, lol. So I had to just rely on a shot that seemed to me to immediately get the point across, and I'm glad it seems I chose correctly. :) I think it was a matter of having his eyes aimed directly at the camera and having him closer to the camera than Bono. Thanks for breaking your rule, Cyclone Titan. :-) With only having four (well, five with Bono) rock stars coming to visit Schwartz, there's no way I could fit in all of everybody's favorites or even all of my favorites. I ended up choosing a handful of my favorite rockers that I wanted to pay some tribute to and could also think of jokes about that most people would get.

A new storyline has begun! The Gods of Rock (Part 1): http://drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=423069

Oh, no! I don't want to set too high a standard! I'll have to do some really bad comics to lower expectations! ;-)
-
I don't want to have a second set of twins in the comic, so Ronald and Mikey Galanos are just brothers who happen to look quite a bit alike. Mikey is older than Ronald by about seven years.
-
Sorry. But thanks for the compliment. :)

The last installment of "Reflecting Backwards" has been posted! http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/?p=423032

Inertia, have fun on your sales conference! I look forward to seeing more of your Space reviews when you get back. Was it the AERO-Module that was next?
-
Glad you like, zero. :-)

I think what I meant by solo was "No Schwartz." :-D I might slowly go back and redo the old comics a bit, since I still have all the original images. I dunno.
