  1. The packaging shows domed cities on crater-filled moons. Guess they're out of luck outside the domes!
  2. I think Max Security Transport is a badass looking ground vehicle, and way cooler than the prelim. I'm a sucker for trans-blue windows and sleek designs. Easily one of my favorite SP3 sets. Like the inclusion of the old radar dishes, too. I think they first popped up again in Agents. Squidman's Pit Stop is a different idea and looks kinda neat, but I'm unsure about getting it. I think I would have preferred something more like a bar. I'll have to see it up close.

  4. Whoa, that was weird. Fixed the link. Thanks, Ricecracker!

  6. My guess is that he was making a killing on them on eBay.

  8. Best-Lock are more of a Lego rip-off. I like their Classic Space-ish ship designs, but the blocks sometimes hold together so poorly, they're very frustrating sets.
  9. Hmm, that is true. Of course, her fish parts are technically naked. ;-)
  10. You probably won't agree with all my picks and where I placed them, but here's an article I wrote for the nerd humor Web site Topless Robot called "The 30 Greatest Lego Minifigs of All Time." http://www.toplessrobot.com/2009/05/the_30...of_all_time.php
  11. Thanks, Batbrick. I've been trying to use better lighting and have been taking pictures where I used to. I'm glad it has helped. I'd say this story is more a stand-alone adventure. I know which stories need to be told for the overall story, but I also have ideas I get excited about that aren't part of that. Mainly, it had been awhile since Schwartz and Galanos had an adventure together, so I wanted to present one. In fact, the next storyline will also be an adventure with those two. Also, the 200th comic will take place within the current storyline, so I'm gonna break for one comic for that.

  13. The TRU that had a couple of Agents sets (the helicopter and the one with the Gold Tooth motorcycle chase) was the one on Rt. 10 in East Hanover. The TRU that seems to get in sets a little early is the one on Rt. 46 in Totowa. I don't feel so bad that I forgot to use my free box of PAB before it expired, then. :-) I've seen that PAB wall and wasn't too impressed, but I've never seen another to compare it to.
  14. I checked my local Toys R Us in New Jersey last night at there were no Space Police yet. They did have two of the new Agents sets, though. I'm gonna have to check this other Toys R Us I go to that's closer to New York City. They tend to get new sets in before anywhere else. And then there's the Lego Store in Bridgewater. But I probably should wait. I won't really have funds to buy any of the sets for a couple of weeks, and it's going to be a tease if I see the Galactic Peacekeeper (the huge ship, whatever it's called) and can't buy it. One thing I like about Lego sets is that you can reliably get them for a period of several months, so you don't have to rush. I also collect Transformers and G.I. Joe, and with those figures, if you're lucky enough to come across some of the hot ones in a store and don't pick them up, you might never see them at retail again. It used to be more like it is with Lego with those toylines, but the collectors and quick turnover of product make it a challenge.

  16. It's supposed to just be a hole. I should have just used flat black pieces, though. Didn't realized it looked a little off until after I took the pix.

  18. Weird. Seems to be there now.

  20. Tune in tomorrow to find out if he's successful! (But I think you know the answer.)

  22. Oh, yeah. Almost forgot about him. ;-)
  23. The spook story?
  24. Satan in the Shadows (Part 1): http://drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=557042
  25. Yup, shameless promotion was the theme of that story. :-)
