  1. They are much better thoughts Mr Calvin! The only reason I'd like to believe red is the British marines and blue is British naval is because it opens up the possibility for a whole new sub-theme for the French.
  2. I don't have Lugnet membership, but someone who has can just post a link to Puerto Brico. That should save a lot writing.
  3. And what of your frustration with the seller from Classic Castle? You said you were going to buy 269 mini-figures from this seller and most of them had muskets, however he didn't give you a response. Meanwhile you were contemplating buying 120 red Imperial Guard mini-figures from a Belgian BrickLink store. You still haven't updated me on the situation yet!
  4. What's the other 20 muskets for then?
  5. Did you end up buying those Imperial Guards from that Belgian seller?
  6. So I guess I won't be needing to dig one up for you...
  7. There are definitely brown. I just went and looked but what I discovered was 3 months of unsorted LEGO from eBay auctions so I had to sort some of it so I can access the rest of it. Still haven't got to my musket reserves though...
  8. I know what you refer to! I have seen such a musket and might even have one. Might take me a while to find one though...
  9. You haven't put much thought into it have you Mr Calvin?

  15. I was thinking more along the lines of this with the red trousers. Check out Uniform Guide the at NapoleonGuide.com. They're only black and white illustrations but you'll get some idea of the uniforms for various European nations during the Napoleonic war.
  16. You mean this Phred? Yes, France is known to have used the Fleur De Lis, however some British Monarchs have as well. And to add to the confusion I have seen pictures of some predominately red French uniforms in the past.
  17. Egad! You're absolutely right Sir Dillion! I just went and tested this on a pair of doors to confirm.
  18. Yes, Mister Phes has the power to merge! Evil Willy would actually have to log into the forum to be able to do that and that's only a once a month novelty for him. But I shall leave this thread for the time being to see if attracts any new responses. Once it dies off the merging shall begin!
  19. Yes, long live the mighty Imperial Armada! We need a stunning war vessel to blow the Black Seas Barracuda and Skulls Eye Schooner out of the water. I don't really think the Armada Flagship cuts it. Its just an over glorified yacht really...
  20. British Vs As you can see there is a lot more red in the French uniform, however I'm no historian so I cannot account for all the different uniforms used between 1600 and 1800. The uniforms were periodically revised or updated you see.
  21. Yes, the pirate forum will improve your entire cardiovascular system if you spend enough time participating in it! X-D
  22. I do too, but its purely subjective... That it does, but Broadside doesn't sound like a French name. However it is possible that de Martinet could be English with French ancestry. Just look at old Jean Luc Picard! Just because it was on piratebricks.com doesn't mean its accurate, although I posted the marine and naval uniforms in that thread on piratebricks.com to support the claim. Admiral Woodhouse wasn't introduced until 1992, the comic was released in 1989... His name should appear in most 1992 UK and Australian catalogues. I'm looking at the B5 sized 1992 catalogue and his name is definitely in there.
  23. Looks like I'll be staying on the porch...
  24. Well technically there's only 3! Three different different torsos and the other two are derived from different combinations of head gear.
  25. I've never heard of pirates drinking coffee before, but low and behold Brazil is now the biggest exporter of coffee and that's only a hop skip and jump from the Caribbean. Well the northern coast of Brazil is...
