  1. I completely missed your link Mr ImperialScouts. They stand out much more when they're bold. Like this: Something ImperialScouts should read
  2. I did read the entire post but in my opinion I don't think it's sufficient to make them uniquely Spanish. Slanderish? It seems like you're implying being Amish is a negative thing. It's merely an interpretation of a minimalist image.
  3. Oh dear... Aside from the torso with the Coat of Arms I don't see how these are any more Spanish then the official Imperial Armada mini-figures. The one in the lower right corner looks Amish...
  4. I definitely don't like the yellow epaulettes. I'd say orange for the grunts and red for the officers - though I base that opinion merely because the red stands out more in that image X-D
  5. They're easily downloaded and they give you a 30 day trial - or longer if you ask them nicely.
  6. Why do you torture yourself with MS Paint? A program that supports vector based editing like Illustrator or Fireworks would be much faster and give you many options. I'd use the orange epaulettes for sure, but whether they be placed on officers or grunts I am unsure. Does history have an answer for us?
  7. You do a lot of Laughing Out Loud Mr. Lt. Col. Thok...
  8. Most excellent! I would like to see some mini-figure designs with "an absolutely Spanish edge".
  9. Since you're customising the torsos couldn't you customise the faces as well? Maybe not so far as to change the design but pick a different colour for the facial hair. What would work well for Dutch - Red... Orange?
  10. Ok Mr Smarty Whipstick... If the Imperial Armada are a nationality other than Spanish then what would the Spanish look like in LEGO form? X-D
  11. I'd say that's more dark teal than it is dark green X-D Is the face you're using supposed to represent that of the Admiral Woodhouse mini-figure?
  12. The Portuguese flag seems to be meandering too far off course - it looks like an old strategy computer game in compassion to Armada Flagship sail X-D
  13. According to Wikipediathere are several ships named Neptune. So is the one we're discussing one of the HMS Neptunes from the Royal Navy?
  14. Oh dear! This is terribly upsetting! X-O Someone built a replica at once!
  15. Heh? What's so funny about that? Flags you say? What about Coat of Arms? Here's Spain's Now here's the coat of arms on the Armada Flagship... It seems to be strongly influenced by the Spanish Coat of Arms. Now why is this so? Is this not to allude to the Imperial Armada being Spanish or are they merely another nation imitating the Spanish? >:-)
  16. I feel a thread title change coming on... Was "Neptune" the ship's complete name or did it have a suffix?
  17. Oh Lord of Pies you're a wondermuffin! Yes, that's exactly the thread I had in mind.
  18. Tiz always good to put a picture in the first post (providing it's not too large) for user convenience.
  19. I've had that movie on DVD for months but haven't got round to watching it. That's something I can do this weekend since I'll have university wrapped out! YAAAAAAAY!!! Well since you put it like that I can see where you're headed... Since this is a debate and like being the protagonist I shall oppose the proposition! Time to do some research... Drat! Don't have time right now.
  20. I'm sure this mine rivals the mine with trolly in it! What's the curse anyway?
  21. Remove the above mini-figure's morion and replace it with a hair piece and you'd have a fine looking butler X-D
  22. I see you've removed that silly tower X-D It's starting to look quite impregnable with those parapets. Very good m'lady, very good. Oops! X-D
  23. I thought you were referring to Ren
  24. I think there's a tutorial thread round here somewhere that explains how it's done in more detail and with pictures!
  25. I don't really get the argument though. Well yes they could be used to depict English or Dutch forces during the Elizabethan era. It's LEGO. Just like you can make any mini-figure represent whatever you please. I don't think I'm doing this right...
