A realistic Port Town House created with LDD
Mister Phes replied to Joey Lock's topic in Pirate MOCs
Well done Joey Lock! This looks like a fine creation with a colonial charm. One thing though - is it possible to get the below image in full because the top right corner is cut off... -
Thanks for taking care of this Phred! I've decided to split this topic so now it's an index and my question has become a Poll: Is it OK to mix dark skinned mini-figures with yellow mini-figures?

So how has your forum experience been so far Black Beard? Anything we could do to improve the experience for you?
-
Redoubt - do you even know what one is? Find out!

SNOT stands for Studs Not On Top and it's building technique where builders find ways of not exposing the studs on the bricks. -
Does LEGO Universe happen to have an online trailer? I found this on YouTube but it seems more like a series of previews than an official trailer.

Is it normal for these comics to have random mini-figure cameos in the background?

The potential of LEGO Digital Designer for Pirate MOCs

Well I thought it was because the price would be too expensive for you The colour scheme of Joey Lock's ship is not too bad is it? -
Personally, I think colour simplicity is the best although I admit I'm not to keen on the brown and tan. To make it slightly more interesting I'd replace the brown (top and bottom rows) with white bricks, replace the tan (middle row) with yellow and the black plates with grey. For me that would make the colour scheme work much better. What does everyone else think?

So has there been any progress Black Beard? I'd say create customs sails because this way your ship will look more unique and interesting.

The Evil Buccaneer Pirate Ship! EEEEEEEEEEP!!! Although technically do you need to include both "Buccaneer" and "Pirate" in the title because "buccaneer" is basically a type of pirate. Anyway, the thing that strikes be about this ship is the use of lattice, particularly around the bow - so naturally I'm wondering what their purpose is...

Ahhh... The good old French Revolution! You're the first to post a picture of a guillotine MOC - Captain Green Hair has been talking about it for ages but it's a case of the tortoise beating the hare. Allegorically speaking that is! I'm not saying you're a little green reptile that lives in a shell. Now, I'm wondering the best way to present this thread. Loading a thread up with more than one MOC can be dangerous!

I went to visit my good friend Wikipedia and found an image of the painting Prise de la Bastille, by Jean-Pierre-Louis-Laurent Houel:

Which pieces would you like to see in future pirate sets?
Mister Phes replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Pirates
Of course! Toupees were common dress amongst distinguished gentlemen and men of prestige, but I don't think it would be practical for soldiers to wear them. -

Just a quick post since I must get ready to leave right about now... I want to see a telescope! I think Brickforge has one or is planning one in the near future but I'm not sure where they are with that at the moment. -

As SlyOwl wrote on the front page of Classic-Pirates.com So as you can see by looking at the first post in this thread, LDD can be used for piratical purposes if some initiative is used. -
LDD certain shows promise for pirate creations but very few would be able to build something substantial at the price - so I guess you won't be buying it?

I reckon it's because we don't have an LDD index but I shall add your Imperial Trading Post Remix immediately! But what's the name of the ship? And is there a thread for it? -
The design is not bad at all! Just wondering about the colour scheme though - the brown and tan walls kind of reminds of caramel swirl ice cream. Personally I think it would work better if you used white bricks with grey plates for mortar.
-
I've also had an edit - I've made the thread title a bit more interesting and added a close-up image.

Fort Laurence - a LEGO Digital Design Creation

Phred, if we get enough LDD creatons do you think one day it might be worth while to have an LDD index? -

Mr Lock, I have added links to your LDD creations in the first post and in the frontpage News Item, but I've also removed most of the images of the Unicorn since they can be found in the linked thread. -
Yes I know, but I thought I'd let everyone speculate for a while first. So here's the answer: Both LEGO Representatives told me these were not official Pirate LEGO mini-figures and nothing is planned.

Since this thread contains a Harbour LDD then how about changing the title relevant to the harbour, or something different so as not to be confused with your first thread?
