Yep, you're right, the Emperor's ship has much better sails. Do you happen to have such sails to use?

Technically to be a cannibal you've got to eat your own species, so unless you two are also MOC ships (with the ability to write) it's not actually cannibalism.

Knockoff/Clone/Imitation Brand Pirate Sets
Mister Phes replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Do you have pictures of the built set? Which brand is it anyway? You may also like to read the Knockoff pirates thread and the Clone/Immitation Pirate LEGO brands thread as they document this topic more thoroughly. -

Ahhhhhh clever thinking! Ok, we'll keep this topic right where it is then.

There seems to be lack of Pirates on that magazine cover - is this in the right forum?

Exactly which procedure did you follow to make your report?

LEGO Digital Design definitely works for Junks! As for the sails... Does LDD ever have non brick parts like sails? The sails from Jabba's Sail Barge might work nicely on a Junk.

I'll definitely do more side-by-side reviews as I come across clone brand sets, but I don't go out of my way to get them. You're not going to do mean things to them are you Phred?

Thanks for the compliment! It appears Imperial Scouts managed to post the image so if you have future difficulties please review our Posting Deeplinked Images from Brickshelf Tutorial.

Fort Laurence - a LEGO Digital Design Creation
Mister Phes replied to Joey Lock's topic in Pirate MOCs
Congratulations Joey Lock! Fort Laurence is the first LDD MOC created by a user to be frontpaged on Classic-Pirates.com! -
That was more attributed to the fact that they were referring to us as "Kiddie Pirates" and the "Cabin Boy's Website" then directing all children and potential troublemakers towards us. We felt that was a little condescending but fortunately that misunderstanding was resolved quickly and we can now progress with the reassurance LEGO Pirates can permeate further throughout the online world. The more fan websites the better, it demonstrates a stronger following for a particular theme and provides users diversity. As the population grows larger every day, Internet usage expands every day and it's unrealistic to expect one website will cater for the needs of all.

It's not that I feel its obligatory to have the builder contacted, I just think its nice to receive their perspective and what their motivations and influences were when building the MOC. I've noticed this too and I've noticed I've done it myself in the past, but ever since I became conscious of my actions I've strived to provide more objective criticism and encouraged others to do the same.

Well you don't know till you ask - no harm in asking is there? Unless the seller is unfriendly and it can be annoying to deal with those...

Dear Wes, I find such posts useful because without user feedback its very difficult to improve the forum in the best interest of the users. In the past I quite often conducted feedback polls to gather such information but have not been doing so recently. Still, we endeavour to run the Pirate Forum a little differently than the rest of Eurobricks. As for posting your MOC without permission... That could happen on any forum because its not always easy to locate the builder. In the past I've suggested we make an effort to contact the builder and invite them to the discussion. I've also attempted to educate users the value of "true criticism" which takes into account both the positive and negative aspects of a creation.

The best thing to do is contact the seller and ask them how long until they require the payment and this usually averages 3 to 7 days depending on the seller. Many sellers I've dealt with will extend that period providing you arrange it with them first.

Will there ever be a newer better ship than the BSB or SES?
Mister Phes replied to Antsa Antero's topic in LEGO Pirates
You've done well Captain Green Hair, and Antsa Antero this is a great poll topic! My short answer is: I bloody well hope so! That's not to say I don't think the Skulls Eye Schooner and Black Seas Barracuda aren't good, in fact I think they're brilliant. But I believe there is potential for something far greater, say for example, a gigantic 500+ piece Imperial Armada galleon. A proper galleon that is, not something simply labeled "galleon". -

I think the cannon has potential - if Imperial shadows misbehaves we can do this... -
Yes, many times there is a similar thread. They could be merged if this thread isn't popular but we'll see where it goes first. I like the graphic you made though, so that should definitely always be in the first post.

You've certainly made some innovations oDDerFisken! The waterfall is a great touch are really gives the structure a sense that's it's been built into a cliff face.
