Redcoat vs Blue Tournament Vacant Positions
Mister Phes replied to Commodore Hornbricker's topic in LEGO Pirates
So how we doing four judges? Commodore, when you have your four judges just post in this thread and I'll change the title and description accordingly. -
I've alway wanted to see an Imperial Guard marching band - and finally somebody has created one! Where'd the drum come from though?
-
For those who don't know, Captain Zuloo is also a fine stop-motion animator so he appreciates the amount of work that goes into something like this. Meself on the other hook, just doesn't have the patience or dexeterity for this form of animation.

AFOL Survey - July 2009 - send your feedback to the LEGO Group
Mister Phes replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
That's more of a guess than opinion, but perhaps our Ambassador could give us more information about how the information is used once he returns. Or maybe not. So stay tuned... -
Well that's no way to build a mighty fleet, is it?

I have an appreciation for all forms of MOCs, including those not made from LEGO. I also spent 4 years at art school but lets not go into that And I'm yet to get my own Camilla, much attributed to the fact the larger 2009 Pirate sets were only released in my area a couple of days ago.

This is quite a delightful video you've created Xrisl! I realise I'm a bit late in commenting but I think this is worth frontpaging on Classic-Pirates.com.

AFOL Survey - July 2009 - send your feedback to the LEGO Group
Mister Phes replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
Keep filling in those surveys folks and feel free to discuss your opinions in this thread! Their carrier pigeons must be taking the week off, so as you'd expect the reports are piling up in the mail room. -
Ahhhhh Camilla... Isn't her hair brown though? How long does it take you to draw these?

USS Constitution Landing Craft: Captain's Gig mostly done
Mister Phes replied to Capn Frank's topic in Pirate MOCs
Now, now Captain Zuloo. "Dimwit" might be a little strong as there is at least some evidence to suggest the blue coats could be French. Although it doesn't make sense to me that they are French given that Governor Broadside has recently appeared in 6242 Soldier's Fort. It seems far more logical red are marines, blue is naval, and yes, both red and blue did work side by side, and that includes naval warefare. There are some great recreations of this in the Hornblower TV movie series. I wouldn't say Phred's photo is "solid evidence" either because the men pictured are not Imperial Guards, these are men of the United Seasmen's Service who were contracted under the US government. However, we already have pictures in another thread of the British blue coat and red uniforms, as well as, the French uniform so you can compare all three. Interesting to note however the blue coat mini-figure torso more closely represents the British blue coat uniform than the French uniform. -
USS Constitution Landing Craft: Captain's Gig mostly done
Mister Phes replied to Capn Frank's topic in Pirate MOCs
And would I be correct in assuming that the red and blue uniforms are that of the same nation? -
The Blue-Coats are English Naval forces And we now know this to be true because the important looking blue-coat minifigure in 6242 Soldier's Fort is officially Governor Broadside. Now it wouldn't be making much sense to include the French leader in an English fort, would it? Well yes, they could be allied but more it would be more logical to include the English leader, than randomly throw in the French.

Pirates Perilous Pitfall is awesome! Long live the Imperial Armada!

Target has regional websites too, so if I look at Target.com.au it should tell me what's happening locally. And whadda ya know, there's a Mega Toy Sale beginning 23rd of July. If I wasn't on dialup I'd have already looked at the website. But in the mean time I'll attempt to get this thread back on topic once more. YEEEEEEEHAAAAAA! So Shop@Home says: What do we all make of this? Once upon a time there was a pirate king? Hmmmmmm...
-
Where abouts in the world are you though? Targets in my area might not have the same toy sale as in the Targets in your area, but it might be worth looking into.
-
Ah, of course. Now let's get this thread back on topic. So Shop@Home says: What do we all make of this? Once upon a time there was a pirate king? Hmmmmmm...

Your daughter? What about something for yourself?

Pirate sets on Classic Pirate & List of minifigures
Mister Phes replied to Burf2000's topic in LEGO Pirates
What we need most is somebody who can keep an eye on the forums and other websites each day to find new things to frontpage on Classic-Pirates.com. So in otherwords more News Scouts. However, it seems Burf is a lot more skillful than that and in the beginning it's best to allocate tasks which reflect somebody's skill. But until I sort out the issues with the Visual Editor it's probably best we don't put anybody new on. Since I don't get ADSL back until Wednesday (presuming the ISP does their job) I won't be able to do anything this time next week, -
Ok, I'll lock my tagetting system on to Target! How much were these sets individually?
-
Why thank you Siegfried. I don't suppose by stroke of luck you've seen this set or any of the larger 2009 Pirate sets in stores lately?

Where would you prefer to discuss Custom Pirate LEGO Mini-Figures?
Mister Phes replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
The Pirate Forum is winning by a landslide - wonder what will happen when we move this thread to the Mini-Figure Customisation Workshop. -
Mediaprobe you certain pose some interesting questions. Where abouts can the description "it was once the Pirate Kings" be found? I haven't been able to get hold of this set yet so I dont' have the box.
-
I see you're labelling this as a Red Coat creatoin but there aren't actually Red Coats or Imperial Guards in sight. I was just wondering was that intentional or did you just not have any Imperial Guard minifigures?
-
Those cows sure are dangerous! This has given me an idea - an Imperial Armada mini-figure and a bull! Too bad I don't have any LEGO cows yet.

Pirate sets on Classic Pirate & List of minifigures
Mister Phes replied to Burf2000's topic in LEGO Pirates
Yes, we have a Content Management System but it appears the latest version has bugs, so we'll have to downgrade as soon as I get my broadband connection back. But we are spefically looking for longterm contributors as it's difficult to build a strong team when somebody volunteers for a week or two then vanishes.
