  1. You're welcome! There are a dozen sub-theme ideas percolating at the moment but only half a dozen will probably make the poll. So the ideas with the most support will most likely be the ideas which are added to the poll.
  2. Yes, you may support existing ideas in the Sub-Theme Suggestions thread so I've revised the "What to Do" section to make the procedure is clearer: It has been discussed earlier in this thread and I thought The_Cook had clarified, but perhaps not. Does my above instructions help clear things up?
  3. Neither have you it seems, because the first post of the Sub-Theme suggestion thread also clearly says: Nonetheless, thank you for taking the initiative, if you spot any future breaches please post them in the Questions & Answers thread.
  4. The hull is well underway, what have you got in mind for the sails?
  5. It's very well done isn't it? I like the sandy path.
  6. A LEGO Pirate action figure - and it works! Well, his head is more beard than anything else but this is the best use of Bionicle I've even seen!
  7. Yes, I did! This brickfilm was quite well animated, the frame-rate wasn't too staccato and you've injected a goodly amount of humour. My only criticism is the score... It's typical contemporary "Disney Pirates of the Caribbean-esque" music which has been done to death. Where did the music originate from anyway?
  8. If not, we can be the revival!
  9. Yes, you are correct! I have amended the thread title. And remember kids, never post on Eurobricks after a night out otherwise you'll make lots of careless mistakes!
  10. Introducing Miss Miranda Valentina...
  11. Thank you for sharing this video, I hadn't previously seen it. But it certainly is a stretch... Even if the performance takes place at a LEGOLand it's hardly canonical to the toyline as Miss Miranda Valentina is human rather than a minifigure and there is no mention of her in the products or associated media.
  12. If you don't have anything new to add to an existing pitch, simply quote it in a new post. Otherwise write a pitch in your own words (also in a new post). Yes, that is correct. Like The_Cook mention, the most popular ideas will be condensed into a poll.
  13. It seems some of you don't understand the difference between a leader and a protagonist. The protagonist (lead character) is not necessarily a leader...
  14. Definitely... We should incorporate those ideas into a future LEGO Pirates sub-theme.
  15. Well the main character or protagonist isn't necessarily a leader, but if she has subordinate who follow her commands then that would make her a leader.
  16. I'm not overly familiar with Dora the Explorer but do the other characters refer to her as their leader?
  17. The LEGO Group established an Ambassador Program to allow greater communication between them and the AFOL communities. Quite simply LEGO Ambassadors collect data from their communities and send it back to the LEGO Group via the Ambassador Program. Sometimes the LEGO Community Managers assign specific projects or surveys to the Ambassadors but I prefer to devise my own projects. If this project was being conducted outside of the LEGO Ambassador Program then it may be a different story...
  18. Specifically female leaders the LEGO Group has named and stated as leaders. Within that sub-theme she holds the highest rank of any of the minifigures, does she not? Never mind any alleged superiors which didn't even appear in the movie. I agree, Jessie from Toy Story, Aunt May, Lois Lane, Rapunzel, Duplo Fairy Godmother, Dora the explorer, etc. aren't really leaders, well not in the context I was referring. No disrespect to your contributions, Robuko.
  19. Thank you for your advice. This project is being conducted under the LEGO Group's own Ambassador Program and official LEGO Representatives are aware that's it's taking place. While your concern was previously the case, now all LEGO Ambassadors must sign a waiver denouncing entitlement to any content or information submitted through the Ambassador Program. This is not the first time Classic-Pirates.com and the Eurobricks LEGO Pirates Forum have conducted a LEGO Ambassador project and the outcome of earlier projects influenced future LEGO Pirate themed releases. Furthermore, this project's Terms & Conditions state the LEGO Group use may the ideas submitted as they deem fit, without reward, acknowledgement or remuneration to the participants.
  20. The sets will have to be similar to contemporary Castle or City sets and not like MOCs. There will be a Definition of Design Constraints thread in which the community as a whole determines how the sets should be built.
  21. All except for the Galaxy Explorer and Star Wars got two entries... Castle was completely overlooked!
  22. Ideally LEGO Pirates should be one the LEGO Groups "evergreen" themes and part of the objective of this latest Ambassador Project is to make that happen. Uhhh no... The only real similarities are the black flag and some of the typeface motifs. If new LEGO Pirates theme were to be based on Pirates CCG the logos would be identical.
  23. In themes like City, Castle, Space and Pirates the LEGO Group has given certain minifigures a name and a small backstory, so I was specifically wondering if they've done so with a leading female minifigure. So I'm assuming this hasn't been the case with City.
  24. So who are the female minifigure leaders? I'm specifically referring to female minifigures who are the leader of a sub-theme or faction... ranking number 1 and not subordinate to anyone...
  25. Nice list, but Robert Newton's "Long John Silver" will always be the one for me!
