  1. Reminds me of the Catwoman set! I love the van, and once again the overall look is great. Dark blue's always a great colour. Again, I would definitely buy this if it were a set. Nice work!
  2. Or you could just wait a little while, I'm pretty sure I read that the Electrosuit Batman is the fig included with the Batman Visual Dictionary!
  3. Funny...I do the exact opposite. If a set comes with yellow minifigs I replace them with flesh figs. I'm planning on picking up the Town Hall as my next non-licensed set and I'm going to replace the minifigs with flesh ones. I prefer the realism of flesh parts, though I don't like the minidolls from the Friends theme.
  4. Ah, so that's why they make chrome figures! I knew they weren't useless. Good one Masked Builder!
  5. If I were you I'd just download Google Chrome.
  6. Pretty sweet design! I just saw this scene on TV the other day (just this scene, not the rest of the movie), and it looks really accurate! I would definitely buy this if it were a set. Personally I'd rather see the Sandman one because he's a slightly less known villian.
  7. Good MOC! I loved this scene in the book and you did a great job portraying it. The greens look nice against the (awesome) cave walls.
  8. Well I just got back into Lego in October, but it seems like right now could be a "Golden Age". I know this year has many themes that people have always dreamed of...LOTR, Superheroes. People love the new Monster Fighters theme, and Ninjago's selling well. SW is producing amazing set after amazing set too. There's not one Star Wars set I don't want right now! So yes, it might be a "Golden Age". But, I know there's a big controversy over quality going on right now. TLG has an amazing Customer Support so I wouldn't be too worried. Just saying if anything's bad right now it's the issues over quality.
  9. No. Starcraft and World of Warcraft may be huge in the gaming communities (maybe not, I don't know), but they would never be more popular than SW and LOTR in the Lego communities. Star Wars is a HUGE Lego theme! It's one of the "evergreen" themes. Easily one of the most popular, and it's one that brought many people back into Lego. LOTR is well on it's way down that road as well. Many people came back to the Lego hobby after hearing about it. I know there would be a lot of angry FOLs if Lego replaced those two themes with the ones you suggested.
  10. Welcome to Eurobricks! That's an awesome introduction, it made me chuckle. How'd you injure your gums? Were you...no...eating your Lego?! What contest are you planning to enter? I'm guessing it's the modular one... Enjoy the site, -purpleparadox
  11. Is that paint/decal or Photoshop? Either way, it's awesome! Although I'm not into those kinds of Space Themes...you should give her a Rebel Alliance logo! Or maybe I'll do that.
  12. This is awesome! You captured the look and feel perfectly. All the detailing is excellent! I hope you'll build another MOC soon.
  13. Black Pearl. I think POTC minifigs are more life-like and detailed. And personally I like the ship better too, it's more sleek and elegant. It really just depends if you prefer POTC or Classic Pirates though.
  14. It's a great entry and everything, but what makes it really stand out IMO is the mock-up comic book cover! Fantastic job! Best of luck in the contest.
  15. Actually I think it's due to the edit Rick made to this post.
  16. Well, I have the Xbox version, not DS, but I think I can help. You have to stand in a puddle/pool of water to fill up your tank, and then you can spray away the toxic waste.
  17. I can see where you got that thought from. I had agreed with you until I remembered TLG only has the license for sets based on the movie. Dang...that means no Tom Bombadil.
  18. Welcome to the best Lego site on the web! Five years is a long time...there's no way I could ever wait that long to join EB. Glad you're here now. I see that you collect all sorts of themes...I hope that means we'll see all sorts of MOCs! See ya around!
  19. These are amazing! I should explore the LDD forum more often. These really intrigue me because music is my main hobby along with Lego. I can't wait to play with the .lxf file, especially to look at that bassoon closer up! (Bassoon is one of the instruments I play IRL.)
  20. Cool idea and interesting read! Maybe someday I'll do something like that...if I ever do anything interesting on EB. About to send a PM to you with a quick question.
  21. Hi there to ya too! It's always great to have more Lego Star Wars fans on board! I can't wait to see what you'll build. Enjoy Eurobricks and the Lego hobby...you'll love it, but I doubt your wallet will.
  22. I was hoping someone had made/would make a topic for this game. But unfortunately I'm having gameplay problems. I start the game, move forward about two or three steps (made it five minutes the longest time), and then my character freezes. I can still move the mouse and turn from side to side, but I can't move forward or back.
  23. Well, over the past few weeks I've had a lot of changes of taste, and I came out of it preferring licensed themes and fleshies over in-house themes and yellow-skinned figs. The same holds true for pirate themes. I prefer POTC over Classic Pirates. The flesh figs seem more detailed, realistic, and more "alive" in some way. The sets themselves look more life-like and realistic too. Arr mates, time to go look for POTC sales!
  24. This is one of the best entries so far! I like the overall look of it a lot, and the dark red is an excellent complimentary colour. Your entry gives a dark, "smugglers-in-a-rush-so-nobody-discovers-them" feel, and that's really awesome. A bit more of a story, and this would be perfect! EDIT: I forgot to add, I love the tiling on the floor and wall, and the use of those cheese slopes.
  25. Ah, the pictures are fixed. Much better! I really like this entry, it's a neat concept. My favourite parts are the conveyor belt, the hose, and the dryers. And the overall design is good too. Good luck!
