Nice and Cruel Der Fisken! The idea is very creative and you pulled it off well. Your lighting mechanism is nicely made, I really like the palm tree trunk torch. As for the head on the man, I personally like it, as it looks like he's extremely stressed out. A few improvements you could make are: 1) I think that adding a skeleton or some spiders would be a nice addition and make it look like a dirty prison. 2) By the cannon, perhaps you could have a pirate onlooker with a really mean looking head. Someone that enjoys seeing cruelty in action. 3) Zorro's idea of adding some barrels to simulate barrels of gunpowder is a great idea. Then you could also scatter around some black dots on the floor for the gunpowder. 4) Since you have that nice big space on the left side, I would recommend making it into something like a storeroom full of weapons and food. It would add a lot and fill up the empty space, while also providing some good contrast to the rest of the entry. ================================================================= Great creativity on your entry! You really captured the feel of the contest well. Good luck in the contest!

Happy birthday! Hope you have a good day!

Oh, I like this a lot! Really creative idea and also well executed. The tentacles give the effect of a squid perfectly and I love the "bait". As for improvements, I like Zorro's ideas a lot, but other than that, saying to change something else would be an outright lie on my part. This entry is that good! :pir-skull: So, improvements you could make: 1) Maybe add a shark. 2) Perhaps put a freshly eaten body with arms and hands laying around with some blood. ================================================ Absolutely fantastic work! Good luck in the contest!

Now that I see the finished product, I must say that it's stunning! Definitely don't worry about not tiling the roof. It would have taken a massive amount anyway, and us critics need to find something to "fix" with a great entry like yours. Wonderful work!

Looking great ISC! The squid is fantastic and the way you made the building angle so it looks like the squid is pulling it in is also wonderful. Your rocks and SNOT water are also nice. Some suggestions: 1) Right now the transition between the light blue and blue in the water is a bit bold if you know what I mean. I think it would look better to mix the two where they meet. Also where the water hits the shore, some white would be nice as waves. 2) You may do this anyway, but I would add some more little huts or other type of small building. 3) Of course adding palm trees and other plants always livens things up a lot. 4) One rough idea I thought would be good here, would be to add a large statue or fountain where the brown currently is. I think that would be rather cool. ========================================================= It looks great so far and I look forward to seeing it when it's a bit more finished to make more comments. Nice work!

Nice work! It seems to have nice details and also great action. The blood splat on the door looks nice and gruesome, and the powder horn is brilliant! A few improvements you could make are: 1) The first picture is the one that will be judged, so I would take one that shows the entire entry, not just one detail. 2) The sand looks a bit bare, so I would recommend adding some more foliage, dead bodies, anything that would fill it up a bit more. 3) I think that the red clip doesn't look too good as blood, some trans-red tiles or plates would be much better. 4) It would look really nice to put some lanterns outside of the door for some extra detail. ============================================================================= It's a bit hard to see everything with no overview picture, but from what I can see well, it looks great! Good entry!

Aha! Now that's cruel! Nice to see the new pirate minifigs in action and boy do they look good! A few improvements you could make are: 1) I would highly recommend taking your pictures against a white background, which can be easily achieved by putting down large white pieces of paper under and behind the MOC. I feel that this is very important to the quality of the entry. 2) Adding some blood dripping down from the neck of the soldier would look good I think. =============================================================== Very good work!

Lego12 is working on a full review as well, so don't worry about changing this if you don't want to. Nice looking set! I love the fig with the ripped shorts, and it seems he might have a new head. Quite a few nice leaf pieces as well.

Nice work Lt. De Martinet! The raft is simple, but very well-designed, and the idea is very cruel without being overly bloody. The choice of head for the captain is good as well. A few improvements you could make are: 1) Just a minor point, but I think it would look nice to put epaulettes and a plume on the captain. 2) I think it would look good to put a grey slope in the water to give the impression of a shark. It would fill up the water nicely. ============================================================================= Very good work on your entry, and good luck!

Thanks a lot! I think I will. I look forward to finishing the courtyard and starting on my other projects when I get back. -
Funny entry! Really creative idea, I especially love the lady who's hair has been cut, nice usage of plumes. The curtains are also beautiful and add a lot. A few improvements you could make are: 1) The main flaw with your entry is that it's a bit empty looking. You could easily fix this though by adding some things to the path such as barrels or crates. 2) I like the idea Paul Cantu had with putting someone in the window screaming. You could make the wall just one stud wide at the bottom so it would fit. 3) Putting tiles on the path and roof would smooth out the entry nicely. For the path you could have a bunch of dark and light grey tiles or even round 1 x 1 plates to look like cobblestones. 4) I think that putting some simple lanterns outside the window would liven it up a bit as well. ======================================================================== Very good work, and I think with a few touch-ups here and there, your entry will be fantastic! Good luck!

Version 7 by far in my opinion. It won't be cramped and will leave lots of room to be creative. -

Stunning work Sandy and Lasse D! Great details and good design. When I get back from vacation I'll finish up the courtyard to add to the back of the library. -

Thrash, I also think that we shouldn't fill up the empty spaces with baseplates, but with individual segments like in the market village. That way it won't look too cramped, but will still have plenty in it. -

I need to go at the moment but at first glance, those ideas look great! I'll be back later with more comments. -
Congratulations on winning BaronSat! And that to the 5 people who voted for me!

Welcome Stol! I look forward to reading more of your posts.

I believe they are from the LEGO cache. Unfortunately they aren't on S@H yet.

Sorry for the double post. I have now added a ocean background, which I think ties the ship to the island a lot better.

Absolutely fantastic work on your small entry Guss! It's cruel, SNOT, well-detailed and exciting. I love how you tied in the story from your large entry into this one. That's really creative. The blood dripping from under the head is great, plus the heads you chose for the minifigs are perfect! That Agents head is good for pirates isn't it? Lastly, the bleeding body is disgusting, but matches the contest theme perfectly. Improvements you could make: 1) Like Zorro said, the main thing you could fix at this point would be to tile the roof. If you don't have tan tiles for the tan section, I think black would look fine all around. ============================================================= However, that's really all I can think to improve. This is a beautiful entry and certainly one of my favorite small ones. Great job!

Thanks a lot Razzer! I had a lot of fun making the animals. Thanks ISC! I realize now that I probably should have extended the water out so the ship could be on it but ah well! The digital background should tie it together a bit better I hope. I'm almost done with it, but I can't access Classic-Pirates at the moment, so I can't get to the backgrounds.

That's looking much better! The extra landscaping really adds a lot and so does the more built up rock. One thing you could still work on: 1) The faces on the minifigs look a bit too friendly. If you have some meaner looking heads I would recommend using them. ============================================================ Great work on your improvements!
-
Very nice MOC Guss! It's very peaceful and the landscaping is great. I would perhaps add a few more leaves to the tree if you have them. Wonderful work!

I personally love the Republic Gunship, but I also don't own the old one. The AT-TE is also a great set. the main reason I don't like the Twilight is that first of all I'm not a fan of the shape, and mainly, for $10 less you can get the AT-TE with the exact same minifigs (except r2 which I'm sure you have plenty of) plus Captain Rex and an extra clone. The gunship is my favorite of the three though.

Beautiful work ISC! I love the bubbling pot and the fire. A great addition to the castle!
