  1. It seems like your pictures don't work. Try hosting them on Brickshelf or Flickr, and then deeplinking them here. Here's a tutorial on deeplinking. Deeplinking Tutorial. Hope this helps!
  2. That's an awesome article Brickster! I love the little graph. I'll take a closer look at it tomorrow.
  3. That's looking great Capt. Kirk! The buildings look beautiful, I especially like the one on the left that's on fire, your smoke looks lovely. Those brown-tiled awnings are perfect in their place. I can't wait to see the finished product and story!
  4. Updated pictures are now up! Thanks for all of the suggestions and advice. I appreciate it!
  5. New and improved pictures are now up. Thanks for all of the tips everyone!
  6. Thanks LegoKing! The lettuce is indeed Exo-force hair, and I held the fabric up to a flame for a short time to give it an old weatherbeaten look. It's not really supposed to be a sewer, more of an underground river. Pirate4life, I have a way to get down to the sewer, plus some other improvements done now. Pictures will be up soon.
  7. LegoKing, thanks for your comments! I don't think I'll add a bat because tha doesn't seem to me like something that would be on a beach. However I did add a crab and a crow type bird. I also don't think it would be wise for all of the pictures to be black-and-white, but I will have one. I've made a few improvements and once I edit the pictures and upload them, I'll post them here. Thanks again everyone!
  8. Thanks for your feedback Zorro! I might try to make some improvements if I can find the time.1) I didn't want to use a scared head, as I wanted the head to be different than the soldier behind the statue. This man was no coward! Also, at least in movies and such, dead bodies seem to have a really blank expression. I don't think I'll change that, but I will certainly try to add some sort of a red piece on the neck. 2) I thought about that, but wasn't sure how I should go about doing it. Do you think that a ladder leading down off of the left side of the street would look O.K.? 3) When you re-size pictures, it always has a set ratio to follow, so when a picture is verticle like that it's impossible to make it 800 x 600 as far as I know. ================================================================================ Thanks again everyone for the comments, and if I can, I'll certainly try to make some improvements.
  9. Thanks Zorro and everyone else! 1) At the moment I don't actually have any plumes or rats, but I'll have the plumes when I get some more new pirate sets and the rat in the castle advent calendar. I may change the pistol though... 2) Do any non-brick built black birds exist? I may have a go at building one. 3) That I can do. I had to come up with some kind of story. ====================================================== Thanks again everyone, your comments are much appreciated, and I'll try to improve some things and update the pictures.
  10. Ah, okay. That looks really nice and I may do something like that when I build a bakery, but I wanted this to have a really random brick pattern. Plus, I don't have have tan 1x2s unfortunately. It definitely looks good though, and thanks for the feedback.
  11. That's beautiful! The spiral stairs are brilliant and your trees are nice as well. The overall design of the house is just superb. Does it have any interior? Great work!
  12. Thanks everyone! Newright, yes, it's supposed to be sort of a marble statue of some famous person . Guss, what colors do you think would be better? It's currently tan, dark bley and brown, I thought that would give it a nice old-time look. Thanks again, your comment are much appreciated!
  13. Vig. 38d Murder In The Market! It was a peaceful day in the village market place, merchants were selling their wares, produce, fish, meat, flowers, it seemed as though nothing could be wrong with the beautiful day, especially since there was 1 soldier on guard. Wait! Weren't there 2 before!? Pirate attack! The ruthless pirates have already taken their first victim, and are holding innocent shopkeepers hostage, although one of them seems to have something up her hair sleeve. Meanwhile, below the village streets, the pirates wait for their comrades in the underground hideout. Oh, the humanity! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Thanks for all of the tips and suggestions guys! Ye be findin' many more pictures o' this on me Flickr page! Thank ye Classic-Pirates for hostin' such a jolly good contest! I really enjoyed makin' me entries and settin' eyes on all o' the other great ones! Good luck mateys!
  14. Vig. 38b Here's my small entry: Now updated with new improvements. A Pirate's Death It's not spectacular, but I figured I'd make a quick entry just for the fun of it. ============================================================= When a pirate was captured, he or she would often be executed. One photographer managed to get in to the event and snap a few shots of the execution... And for those that wanted a black-and-white picture: Thanks to everyone for the suggestions!
  15. That's just hilarious! If you look past the humor, you can actually see a brilliant MOC, I really like that airplane door, it fits so nice and seamless. Lovely claws as well. Great work!
  16. I look forward to seeing the new pictures! Something tells me that it will look great.
  17. Holy moly that's a beautiful castle! The detailing with the arches and roof is simply superb. I love the rocks with the little plants in the gigantic SNOT water. My favorite part though has to be that lovely stained glass window, it just is so perfect. Stunning MOC RebelRock!
  18. That's looking beautiful so far Castlestrike! I love the interior, especially the torture room. Can't wait to see the finished product.
  19. Very good work Lt. De Martinet! The fort looks amazing with the great color combination of white and yellow, plus the great cannon smoke and my favorite rounded wall. I like that you put white tiles on the peaks, as it makes the overall thing look much smoother. Nice work with the SNOT water and waves as well. The ship is also great with the torn sails and skeleton figurehead. For some reason the cannons really stand out to me a something that looks very nice. One last possible improvement: 1) I think it would be great to see a story for your entry. It doesn't have to be long at all, but just something to understand exactly what's going on in your entry. ============================================== Absolutely amazing job with your entry! It has great action and captures the theme of the contest really well. I'll have to try out a rounded wall like that sometime. Was it hard to fit it in to the rest of the fort? Great work and good luck!
  20. I have Pontoon Plane and Mummy's Tomb, and I'll try to get those reviews up in the near future. Great work on the index so far!
  21. I'm honored! I really love that minifig. He just seems like an evil rich guy, which is what he is I suppose.
  22. He said he will use white paper once it's finished as far as I can remember. Ah yes, here it is. Looking great Capt. Kirk!
  23. I'll put the $5 in as the price alongside what's already there. Thanks ExoBuilder. Good to hear most people like this set. Although not perfect, I think it's a lovely small set.
  24. Great changes Pe668! The new railing looks much better than the old one did, and the digital background is beautiful, I can't remember whether you had that before though. Anyways, great work on your entry and good luck!
  25. Welcome to Eurobricks Commander Laquiet! Your entry looks pretty good, but without a few more pictures, it's hard to see everything. You can have up to 6 in your entry thread. I would also recommend making them a bit larger. They can be up to 800 x 600. Here's a tutorial on deep-linking images: Tutorial Improvements you could make for your entry: 1) Your cannon looks quite nice, but I wold recommend changing the blue pieces in it to dark grey or light gray, to match the rest of it. 2) I think adding a palm tree, or some other types of plant life would fill up the entry nicely, as right now parts some areas seem a bit empty. 3) Adding a story behind your entry, even a small one, always makes an entry more exciting and easier to understand in my opinion. Perhaps you could make at least a small one. ========================================================================== That's all until you put a few more pictures in, then I'll be able to give you some more suggestions. I think you have a pretty nice entry here, and hopefully you'll be able to show us the rest in due time. Good luck!
