NewRight, you should be proud of yourself for for confusing someone to think you're SirNadroj!

That looks excellent in my opinion. Finally some new creatures in our LEGO-Star Wars universe. I look forward to seeing the contents of the rest of the set. Thanks for posting KimT!

More civilian sets, hallelujah! I am sick and tired of only having firefighters, policemen and coast guard members in my city. Now, that will really change! The camper and city corner look fantastic, even with the blurry pictures. I can't wait to see some with more detail. Thanks for the pictures!

That's a really cool shirt! How was it made?
-
Now that's more cool than creepy for a change! Great work!

I absolutely love the Cannon Battle set, especially as a parts pack. So here's what you get when you bring together 5 of them! More pictures on Flickr. Thanks!

Yikes... Not much else to say besides that. Is that the roof of your large PtV entry?

While I don't think this is a terrible idea, I think it just wouldn't work too well. Mainly beacause often the people who post it here technically weren't the first to find it. Also, this may increase the amount of people who don't check if a certain news item has already been posted, because they want to increase their respective "news count", and then we'll see the same thing posted numerous times, which will just cause trouble. It is an interesting idea though.

I had a fantastic day! LEGO-wise I received: 1) Cannon Battle x4 2) Kraken Attackin' 3) Loot Island 4) Shipwreck Hideout 5) Soldier's Fort 6) Brickbeard's Bounty 7) Republic Fighter Tank 8) Deep Sea Quest And non-LEGO things: 1) A new basketball 2) Gorrila tripod for my camera 3) Some nice new earbuds for music players 4) A cell phone 5) Flickr Pro account (finally I can make more than 3 sets! ) I feel so happy and lucky today! Hope you all had a great Christmas as well.

So, the Solar Sailer is 67 Euros for a set with 385 pieces and 4 minifigs.... I seriously hope the set won't be that overpriced when it hits U.S. stores. I would guess that it'll be $50 if we're lucky. Ahsoka's fighter is 50 Euros, so I would guess it will be around $40 which is sort of what we expected. But, it's still a crappy price for a set with under 300 pieces. At least the sets still look decent.

Will every module have to have the same style of hallway? Because some people might not have the correct pieces for a certain design. Those hallways you made look excellent though! -
Merry Christmas Eurobricks! Hope you have a wonderful day, and a great new year!
-
Can we really start saying how terrible they look after extremely blurry preliminary pictures? I think they don't look bad at all and we can barely even see much. I'm definitely holding off further judgement until better pictures arrive.

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you have a great day.

Have we decided on the standard for the modules with a hallway outside? EDIT: Aaack, I just saw the update in the main thraed. Just ignore this! -
Congrats to the winners! Although I didn't win anything, I greatly enjoyed having something to look forward to every day besides my City and Castle calendars. Thanks Eurobricks!

Yes, let's look around for some 4 letter words. Perhaps that will be the password. -

I certainly don't mind making a hallway, but I think I'll wait and see how we decide what the standards for it will be before I make it. I think a rather plain hallway would be nice with perhaps some suits of armor, paintings or tapestries on the wall. -
27. Capt. Kirk - Le Quartier Brique 29. Exotrator - The Pirates of San Pedro 32. SirNadroj - The Pillaging of Neptune's Noggin Lagoon Wow, there were so many incredible entries in the large division, which made it extremely difficult to pick 3 to vote for as my favorites. In the end, I decided on these: First Place: Capt. Kirk's Le Quartier Brique was by far my favorite entry. The sheer size of it, along with all of the action and beautiful details really set it above the rest in my opinion. One of my favorite parts was the superb chariot and the effect of it going down the hill. All of the smoke and flames coming out of windows gave the entry a certain sense of panic and excitement, especially the soldier dangling from the wodden balcony. The buildings were so amazing with the beams and red roofs, plus they had stunning details on every corner. His cobblestoned path was perfect and led beautifully to the stone steps. Lastly, the SNOT water and the little dock capped the entry off wonderfully. Overall, a fantastic effort. Second Place: Second place in my vote went to Exotrator's The Pirates of San Pedro. When I saw his entry it just made me think of an old caribbean village with the fabulous red and dark-orange roofs. It felt like I was brought away from the cold and snow for a few minutes. The dark green plants climbing up the little buildings looked great and provided an excellent color contrast. His fort on the right was also an excellent construction, with the stunning cannonball holes in the side and the arch over the bell. Another superb entry. Third Place: Sir Nadroj and His Pillaging of Neptune's Noggin Lagoon received a very well-earned 3rd place vote from me. A gigantic entry with tons of action and detail. I absolutely loved the various buildings, especially the one with the governor. Neptune's Noggin was a very creative idea, which was well-executed, and the ice-cream cannon smoke looked simply amazing. His ship was gorgeous as well, and I loved the little details he included like the man falling overboard. Basically everywhere you looked you saw an exciting or funny detail. Great entry! ====================================================== So, that caps off my top 3, but, there were far too many entries that were also amazing to leave them out entirely, so here are my very honorable mentions. Honorable mentions: 1) DNL had a lovely entry with many beautiful details, plus blood and cruelty galore! It missed out on the top 3 by a very small amount. Great work DNL! 2) Lord King of Everything had by far the best ship of the entire contest with the downright spooky skulls. Plus the sea monster was a fantastic idea. 3) Lt. De Maritinet's entry was also fantastic, I especially loved the rounded wall. I plan on making a soldier's fort MOC in the near future and will certainly use this for some inspiration. 4) I thought Guss did an excellent job with his entry as well, and I loved the fact that he used some EB member sig-figs in it. 5) And lastly, Fat Tony has to get the award for best lighting effects in his entry. The glowing flames were just outstanding. All of the other entries were also simply fantastic, and I must say I'm very pleased to see that our community has so many great builders in it. Fantastic work everyone, thanks to the classic-pirates staff for hosting this amazing contest, and happy holidays!

I don't remember the very first MOC I made, but I do know the first MOC I made after my dark ages, and the first one posted on the internet. Behold, the "X-Quad"! I remember how proud I was of it. It's hard to believe, but that was just barely over a year ago. It's amazing how much practicing, and seeing great MOCs here and on other LEGO websites has helped me improve my MOCs.

One quick question, when I build the kitchen module, should I build the outer hallway as well, and if so, how should I go about doing it (size, method of attachment, etc.)? -

Great work as usual Thrash! A very funny, and well-detailed module. I especially love the chair tilting function and the pie maker underneath. I think we should start calling you "The Module King!"
