Pillage the Village Contest - MEDIUM CATEGORY WINNERS!
Erdbeereis replied to SlyOwl's topic in Pirate MOCs
I am beyond happy right now! This is the first time I've ever won anything in a contest (at least LEGO-wise) and all of the hard work paid off. Congratulations to SirNadroj and Capt. Kirk as well, their entries were great. Thanks to all who voted for me, and thanks to Classic-Pirates and Eurobricks for yet again hosting a wonderful event. This was the best run contest (with the best prizes) I've ever witnessed. When I saw this I have to admit I ran around the house cheering for a little while... Thanks again! -
EB Community Castle Build: Discussion Thread
Erdbeereis replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice money changer Thrash! I especially like the clerk. The keep/hallway design looks nice as well, but in case certain people don't have the right pieces, they could probably just do something similar right? -
I agree 100% with this. I realize that often the packages are large, but most companies at least offer free shipping of orders over $100 or so. But on S@H the price actually increases the more you spend. The packages that I get also don't really have much in the way of padding. A few rows of bubble wrap really isn't enough. I have had crushed boxes more than once.

Theme Review: Orient Expedition
Erdbeereis replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great theme review Sandy! I really do like this theme, unfortunately I wasn't able to aquire any, since they came out far before my dark ages ended. The larger sets, specifically the Scorpion Palace and the chinese temple-like set, are especially fantastic sets, with all of the beautiful decorative elements. I also like the fact that the line comes with a lot of animal-type creatures, which make it stand out from other themes, and those elephants are lovely. Many thanks for that very in-depth review! -
Mystery Manor - Chapter Three
Erdbeereis replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I don't like the idea of Mr. Sinclair in possession of a sharp knife... I'll protect the knife from Mr. Sinclair. -
Nothing to say but wow... You must have the deepest brain of any builder, and the best supply of black cheese slopes. Seriously amazing MOC.

Pillage the Village Contest - SMALL CATEGORY WINNERS!
Erdbeereis replied to SlyOwl's topic in Pirate MOCs
Congratulations guys! Your entries were all excellent! -
You could perhaps make a little barbeque party in a backyard. Another idea, maybe a hobo in an alley? Here's my sig-fig, just add white legs. Hope this inspires you!

Mystery Manor - Chapter Three

What a nice little library! I think I would like to look inside the books with miss sandy, and then examine the statues. -
Review: 7415 - Aero Nomad
Erdbeereis replied to The Cobra's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great review Cobra! I actually like this set quite a bit, mainly because it's a bit different than most. The "balloon" is a bit odd, seeing as it looks more like a gigantic boulder, but other than that, the set is relatively well-designed. One big plus are the nice accessories, such as the snowshoes, which I didn't realize existed. I give this set a 4, and the review 5. Thanks for the review! -
Who wouldn't want extra prizes?! I wonder if some of the winners even look at the forum anymore... If I saw I had won a prize I'd be sending my address in the blink of an eye!

Lovely MOC oo7! The design of the building is beautiful, and really has an oriental feel to it. Your roof technique is superb. Great work on the landscaping as well. Stunning work in all aspects!
-
Very good work on this Guss! I like the fact that it looks similar to Brickbeard's Bounty, but has so many more details and design elements. The addition of a great interior makes this ship fantastic in my opinion. Great work!

Happy new year to all! Now if my local Target would get those '09 sets....
-
I only included the parrots that I own myself. Trust me, if I had the others, I would have included them.

Vig. 51a What does Brickbeard do when he needs a new parrot companion? He goes to the best store in the Carribean, Paula\'s Parrot Emporium of course! Thanks!

Sideline Scenes: Rules & Discussion
Erdbeereis replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Great work sideline-scene builders! What I love about contests like this, is that they really seem to bring the community together nicely. Plus, it's extremely fun! -
I just received mine in the mail yesterday. It's very nice looking, especially the pirates front cover.
-
That's beautiful! The colors are simply fantastic, and all of the details make it even better. Now all it needs is an interior!

1) SlyOwl 2) Hinckley 3)Captain Green Hair 4) Phred SlyOwl's entry was so nicely detailed, with action and cruelty galore, plus it had a good amount of humor. Hinckley's entry was also excellent, with the well-made building and all of the staff sig-fig executions. The other two weren't quite as detailed, but they certainly didn't lack in the humor department! Nice work staff!

Hmmm... Ananas is pineapple in German, but he's from Sweden, so I don't know...

A very happy birthday to all of you! Hope you have a fantastic day!

I'm greatly looking forward to seeing your MOC! By the way, it's Erdbeereis1, not, Erdberries1.

Congrats to the winners! Nice work my fellow Team America partner! Thanks so much Brickster for hosting such a spectacular contest with the best graphics and commentary ever. I really enjoyed it! -
I feel so betrayed! Don't worry, I still like you!
