The heroes walks up on the gangway but a tall Metasimian blocks the end. "Hold it right there! We don't allow just anyone aboard our ship these days. Haven't you heard that there are pirates on the seas? Who knows what kind of tricks they come up with."
-
"Did you miss the announcement Erdathcath? You and I are amongst those heroes who will seek out and capture that pirate that has terrorized the seas. It's good to know we have a great ranger with out."

Cronk takes the Transportation paper and the heroes takes leave of Alisameth and the Temple of Ennoc. The heroes head for the harbour as the sun rises in the east and more and more people are moving around in the streets. When the party reaches the Fishmarket it's very crowded and they loose each other during a few minutes. But since everyone knew were they were heading they meet up again down at the water and together they approaches the Feather Breeze. A gangway leads up to the ship were some sailors are preparing the ship for it's journey. What will the heroes do next?

"The High Commander of Light and Justice, Lord Kapriel, is stationed with the 1st Battalion, he will inform you more about your duties when you reach Tanco." "As for enemies of the Order there are several. Darkness is common all over the world and our mission to spread the light of justice and honesty have got us into conflict with lots of heretics. Especially all magic users except those of the Light. Tanco's main significant feature is its importance to the followers of Ennoc, but some trading can be found too and the area has rich mines. It has been a self governmental town for a long time tough and no factions have fought over it in recent times."

No SW-themed entry for me, sorry. Just a small Christmas-y one: A tomte eating his Christmas porridge.

"The reports differ on this point, sometimes the attacks are just made by small bands of 5-6 soldiers, but lately there has been some large scale attacks with over a hundred. Be prepared for the worst."

It was early in the morning when 5 heroes set out from the Heroica Hall. The sun had just risen behind the city wall to the east and cast long shadows before the heroes as they walked towards the Temple of Ennoc of the Paladin Order. The heroes in the party that was going on the honourable and righteous quest were: Cronk (Played by CorneliusMurdock) Level 13 Knight Power: 24 Health: 22/22 Gold: 111 Inventory: Zoot's Bane (Long Sword) (WP: 11, Light Damage, suitable for Cronk), Sword of Bashing (WP: 5), Mockthrill Shield (SP: 4), Healing Staff (WP:5, healing effect), Potion (2), Fire Bomb, Bedroll Sir Glorfindel (Played by soccerkid6) Level 5 Knight Power: 8 Health: 14/14 Gold: 1 Inventory: Ringil a sword (hollow blade [potion], Ice Elemental WP:3), Lion Shield (SP:2), Bedroll, Potion (3)(one in sword) Leo Aragon (Played by JediAnakin) Level 10.5 Knight Power: 15 Health: 19/19 Gold: 25 Inventory: Burning Draken Sword (WP:7, Fire elemental), Pongcanis Shield (SP: 3), Shadeux Sword(WP:4), Potion, Bedroll, Smoke bomb Elgar Gligin (Played by Jedi master Brick) Level 5 Ranger Power: 9 Health: 10/10 Gold: 19 Inventory: Mockthril crossbow (WP:4 Lightning elemental), Smoke bomb, Bedroll, Remedy (2), Orc venom, Potion Tomas (Played by Captain Tamamoro) Level 13 Cleric Power: 18 Health: 22/22 Ether: 18/18 Gold: 100 Inventory: Shadeaux Staff (WP: 6), Gold Staff (WP: 4), Pongcanis Staff (WP: 5), 2 Potions, 3 Remedies, 2 Bedrolls, 2 Tonics, Bone, Grand Tonic, Fire Bomb, Shovel, Mead, Venom, Smoke Bomb, Topaz Elemental Gem Outside the Temple of Ennoc, two well armed knights with the emblem of an eagle on their shields were standing guard. When the heroes approached they were examined by one of the guards. "You're the reinforcement from Heroica, right? Well, I guess you will have to do. The High priestess is waiting inside to inform you about the details of your mission." The party entered the temple were they found a woman dressed in an blue robe with lots of gold embroidery in front of the idol of Ennoc, which was shining in the morning light. "Well met heroes of Heroica! I am High Priestess Alisameth of the Paladin Order. I'm happy to see our note gave result, we certainly need able warriors to carry out this mission. You will be sent as reinforcement to our 1st Battalion of Light and Justice who are currently stationed at the town of Tanco at the island of Moone. It is located in the southern inland of the island so apart from the boat trip you will also need to travel some distance by foot, but probably not more then one or two days. Tanco is a town of great importance to us since it holds the tomb of Miekahl Lightbringer, the first High Priest and High Commander of Light and Justice of our Order. His bravery and honour was only surpassed by Ennoc, the Righteous Light, himself. Followers of the light pilgrimages frequently to his grave which has made the town of Tanco the centre of our North influence area. Problems started earlier this year with repeated harassments of pilgrims when then travelled through the forest on the island. Our local representatives managed to restrain the initial problem by ordering out our knights as escorts but recently we were reached by the news that we have a real was upon us. The enemy is a mercenary company made up by though and experienced soldiers which threatens to overthrow our forces. At this moment we don't know who is the payer of the company or why this attack has been ordered. If you can find this out it would be good and useful but your most important mission is to help the 1st Battalion defend Tanco. We have arranged a transport by help of one of the local families here in Eubric, the Bonapartes. The ship Feather Breeze is waiting down in the harbour near the Fishmarket to take you to Moone. Here is your paper of transportation, show it to the captain to get on board." Alisameth hands over an envelope. Transportation paper. Will give the party free passage to Moone with the Bonaparte ship Feather Breeze. "Before you leave, do you have any questions?" OOC: Please check your stats and report to me if something isn't right.

Maurice once again returned from the Temple of Ennoc with a message for the heroes in the Heroica Hall. He hoped he would soon get more exciting duties than being a delivery boy. Yes, I believe that is right. At least during my latest quest I always healed everyone up to full health each time I healed outside of battle. Depletes one ether for every person you heal of course.

Mitgardia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Etzel replied to Sirens-of-Titan's topic in Guilds of Historica
My watchtower is up now too: At the frozen river The only 5-sided tower so far. -
That is indeed a mighty watchtower, strong enough to withstand many attacks. The wooden walkway around the top is really nice done, and I like the details you have included, like the icicles and the small stable. Good job Hersir Elon Chorian!

Avalonia River Run Watchtower of Mesodraconem
Etzel replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Ah, this must be the same river as I built my tower by, only further south. The Avalonians sure know how to work in stone, lots of great details here and an impressive hight on the tower. Nice setting with the lush environment too. -
In the north-west part of the realm, a small river marks the border between Mitgardia and Avalonia. During the winter it is often frozen and it's easy to get across. The Avalonians rarely comes this far north but better to be safe then sorry thought the Mitgardians and built a series of watchtowers along the river to guard the border. Most are built out of wood, which is easily found in the dense pine and spruce forests in Mitgardia. (The spruce trees are of course inspired of our great Guild leader ) More pictures at Flickr.

Good to see we got some strong watchtowers along our borders, great work! I've just finished my own but I'll have to wait until tomorrow to take picture to get some natural light. -
Review: 5887 Dino Defense HQ
Etzel replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Really nice job on the review Masked Builder. You certainly gave us a very detailed one. Unfortunately that didn't change my opinion about this set, at least not for the better of it. This set is really not what I'm looking for in a set. It appears to be large and detailed but in reality it's just made up by some enormous wall pieces in repetitive patterns. Sure, it has some good things, all sets have. But the minifigs and the dinosaurs (I like the small ones) don't make up for the huge disappointment that the building causes. The yellow colour might work for this purpose, but it is a really useless colour otherwise. I don't think I will buy this set even if it's half the price, it just isn't worth it with the pieces you get I think. -
Ahw, I was looking forward to see the new expert job class, Courtesan.

MOC: Who's Hunting Who
Etzel replied to SmoothSexualBrickMaster's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
That is a very nice MOC, SSBM (yeah your name was too long to type )! Stacked grass stems works great as high grass and the way you can glimpse the dinos is an awesome effect. The night shot is well done too, but I'm not sure about those luminous 1x1 trans-bright green plates, they seem a bit too sci-fi to me. I love the new minifig, I think I need to bricklink it when it becomes available. -
Maurice returned from the Temple of Ennoc where he had gone to pray and thank the Righteous Light for his blessing. Now he walked up to the Quest board and put up the parchment as High Priestess Alisameth had instructed him. The Order needed heroes from Heroica for a mission of great importance: Quest #16: The Paladin Conquest Quest Master: Etzel Assignment: The Paladin Order requires assistance from Heroica. Our sanctuary in the village of Tanco on the island of Moone is threatened by evil forces. The 1st Battalion of Ligth and Justice still holds it but the losses have been bigger then expected. The heroes from Heroica will be sent as reinforcements to help the battalion defend the village and the sanctuary against the forthcoming attack. Party Requirements: A team of 5 heroes that are willing to fight for justice in the name of Ennoc, the Righteous Light, especially Knights and Clerics. Reward: A symbolic sum of 250 gold to split and a holy bomb for each hero. But there will be lots of loot for those who fight well. Sign-ups will close on Monday the 21st of November. To bad Maurice himself couldn't assist in this matter. He really felt that this quest would have suited him perfect but Alisameth had been very clear on this point. "Your time will come Maurice. One day you will return to our true home but it's a long road and you must learn to trust Ennoc with all your heart before it's time." Maurice cast an eye on the sing ups for the Bonaparte quest and was pleased to see that so many experienced heroes had proclaimed their interest, and he was even more pleased to see that he was the only cleric so far. That would increase his chances of being picked for the quest he hoped.

After some time I've been able to complete almost all of the scenes for a quest I would like to host so here is my pitch: Quest Title: The Paladin Conquest Assignment: The Paladin Order requires assistance from Heroica. Additional info: Improved relations with one of the factions of Eubric is possible depending on choices during the quest. Private quests might happen for some players. Both experienced and newbies are welcome to apply.

Mitgardia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Etzel replied to Sirens-of-Titan's topic in Guilds of Historica
Regarding shields I think we should go for round ones as much as possible. There are 3 different from the collectible minifig series, numerous different from the Viking theme, + some other like this: Let our bright colours of green and yellow be our foremost sign. The similarities to Avalonia isn't that big I think since they go for a darker and duller version of green, and we can use lots of yellow feathers and plumes to show of our proud armies. -
Mitgardia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Etzel replied to Sirens-of-Titan's topic in Guilds of Historica
Not really part of the regular Mitgardian army but nevertheless a fighting force not to be forgotten, the warriors of the indigenous tribes in the Frozen Wastelands far north are swift and skilled fighters. They can travel great distances by ski (they use the shorter one to kick with and the long one to glide on, just as the first skis in our own world worked ) or by sledge drawn by their half-tamed polar bears. The indigenous tribes usually tries to live by themselves and not be controlled by the other forces in Mitgardia, but through the trade with the Guild they have become more aware of the outside world and adventurous youngsters can be found amongst the soldiers of the Guild. On ski: By bear sledge: Edit: I almost forgot, I really like your soldiers Khorne! I think it's a great idea to have a few Official soldiers of the Guild, but the bulk of the army is made up by the colonist militia and top it with various barbaric tribes.
