[COR -CH2B] I have no voice, and I must scream...
Kwatchi replied to CelesAurivern's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That was a great story build and an interesting take on the challenge. Well done. -
Laurent Dugay lives at the edge of Lowtown in a small shack on a sandy spit of land, which he has built with whatever drift wood and debris he has come across. He lives a simple life. Every day he walks along the shoreline, casting his net in the and selling his extra fish at market for a few coins; coins used to buy a bottle of grog now and again. This build came about while playing with my 5 y.o. son and his collection (we have separate collections of course) this past weekend, when it dawned on me that Spiderman's web would make a great fishing net. I have to admit, building 'ramshackle' has proved far more challenging for me than I thought it would. Property: Small residence Status: Licensed small residence in Charlatan Bay's Lowtown

[SR - MCRA] Feb '16 - Nothing of note
Kwatchi replied to Kwatchi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
My kids own those books. I just happen to 'borrow' them while they're asleep. ;). My wife does think I have issues as a result though. As matter of fact, my son was complaining about my appropriating Axel for the last few weeks as my big hulking side kick, so I wrote him out of the story. -

I have something in the early build stage already so Hurray for Free Coin! Just to clarify something: a challenge can not be used as a Free Build but CAN be licensed? -
February 2016 MCRA Official Result: Escort went off without a hitch ==== “Captain, the convoy leader is signalling to make sail” “Well then raise sail Mr. Moore and take our station. I’ll be in study and I’d trust you’ll not disturb me unless it be an absolute necessity.” “Captain, the convoy has reached our first port!” “Quit your yappin and let me get back to what I was doin’.” “Captain, the convoy has engaged a ship!” “I SAID I WAS NOT TO BE DISTURBED, YA FECKLESS INGRATE!” “Captain, the Poseidon’s Wrath has just foundered in the storm!” “zzzz” “Captain, the convoy has reached our second port of call!” “That’s fine Mr. Clarence. Send for the cabin boy and Mr. Axel." "Axel, my long time friend, I finally found the clue I have been searching for all these long years. It was hidden in the first accounting of Bishop Millars' prophecies. Have a gander and tell me what you think.” ”CAPTAIN! This is madness! You can’t follow this course. It’s unconscionable. It goes against all that the worship of the Patheon stands for. I can’t be a part of this!” “Are you sure of this Mr. Axel?” “Emil, I’ve known you for over 15 years. But if you are set on doing this, we’ll need to part ways. I'm sorry.” “I see. Well, fair thee well then.” “Boy, fetch the bosun an tell him to have this mess heaved over the side. Then inform Mr. Moore to signal Captain Amara to come aboard.” “But Captain, Amara’s ship went down in the hurricane three days ago.” “Did it now? Well, then… Mr. Moore! Set our heading back towards whence we came and collect that luckless harpy Amara. She and I need to be having a discussion on a venture I have in mind.” "AND FETCH ME SOME MORE RUM!" ==== Story so far: Introduction The Donatus The Propehcy [by Gulagurag] The Poseidon's Wrath [by Gulagurag]

I noticed a few bugs as well in the update. Our level 5 Alliance of Fortrex disappears on the pre-battle selection screen, but the level 5 armoured toons cut through mobs without breaking a sweat now when just grinding random red spots where it was requiring powers before to speed things up. -

[SR - FB1] - March '16 - Heldenberg Bakery and Supply
Kwatchi replied to Kwatchi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thanks all. After seeing everything from last month, I've challenged myself to improve... which oddly enough means scrounging up as many tile pieces as possible. I see a couple of bricklink orders in my future. :) Village Raid: 7189. I've been a castle enthusiast for the longest time, and only got into Pirates in the last two years. So I make do with what I have on hand. This will be hopefully tied into an overall storyline soon. I'm trying to sort out some rule questions at the moment. -
The Heldenbergs were washed along the eastern seas like so much jetsam, having fled their home country of Mardier after having been persecuted for their religious beliefs . Upon finally finding a safe haven, they continued to do what they had always done: bake. While selling bread and pies to their neighbours and friends, this industrious dockside bakery primarily caters to sea captains looking to resupply. They produce barrels of hard biscuits at a prodigious pace in order to meet the demand of the free captains looking to replenish their stores before they return to the sea for another cruise. This build represents a small commercial bakery/victualer. I'd prefer to eventually license it as a factory as opposed to an artisan property since it is a commercial venture, but I'll abide by the ruling of the higher ups when it gets to that point. Property: Small factory Status: Licensed

I saw that this morning. Thanks for getting that ball rolling Kaiju. I look forward to staying in your new beach front resort hotel. :) (Seriously, it was a nice build)) -
Is that sound I hear laughter or the 4th wall shattering? Or both? :) The story continues to entertain and a nice build to boot. Well done again.
