  1. Thanks for having me @mediumsnowman. While I am still trying to get me head around the revealed set-up at the moment, I did enjoy myself (except for the start of day 4 ofc). And the binary solution table was a solid idea! I swear!
  2. So do I! Clever little design.
  3. A great vignette. The violet and red foliage really counterpoints the green well; nice palette choice. The minifigs are nicely designed and posed too.
  4. Wow. I’d never consider using bright red in architecture but you have made it work. It’s a gorgeous display.
  5. That is a very fine facade, and the vines on the side are a nice touch. I may steal that window technique since I have a bunch of those fence pieces lying about. Welcome to Hightown Captain Gustaf!
  6. Feb 8, 618: Mayor's Office, Charlatan Bay Yes, come in! Ma'am, I come with an official protest from Captain Jardine. With the... um... demise Bishop Meloche and his inner circle, you are now the highest ranking municipal leader in Charlatan Bay. You do understand? Yes, yes. Stop wasting my time. Just get to the point before I anger. Madam, as you are now in charge of the town, you need to deal with… its… um … continued welfare. In example - you have yet to address the seizing of the Peregrine by Eslandolan forces, let alone that they are detaining the FTA trade fleet, in Fuerte Unido. Captain Pike has the authority to address this and I believe he has recalled the Toucan into service. Now Mister Delleli, I believe I warned you to get to the point. Please do so before the point of my sword beats you to it!. Yes ma'am. The jist of it is that your commissioning of a new ship for your own purposes has given the military governor, Captain Jardines, the erm.... impression you plan to depart. And? The colony requires its civilian government to function! Who shall be in charge while you are gone ma'am? Is that all? Hah! I have already taken care of it. Let me introduce my deputy mayor, who will act in my absence... Jared Gordon, at your service Sir. So with that settled, I have other business gentlemen. Good day to you. But ma'am... GOOD. DAY. GENTLEMEN. Yes ma'am. Good day ma'am. FISH, GET IN HERE! Close the door behind you. Did you find it?! Yes, Cap'n. The Mardierians dumped it right where you said they would. Perfect. With this and his diary, we may still have a chance. Have the Puck's Jest II made ready to sail. We leave at dawn! ===/===/=== So this was a joint effort. Gulagurag (who enjoys building and sailing part of BoBS, and can't be bothered with the rest) did the office and the story, while I got stuck with the photos, posting, and forms. (And since I took the time to post it, I get the 10dbs!!! ) This build has actually been languishing for a while on the shelf while we dealt with other nonsense, but finally starts off our Era 2 story line in earnest. It will also serve as the sister-ship build for the Puck's Jest, lost back in October.
  7. ((sip)) Whether I have been branded scummy or not by you Gary, at least you understand my conundrum from yesterday. To summarize: 1) I log in and catch up on things, and see that Tony has 3 votes and Tony hasn't voted yet. 2) I'm town; and, 3) If Tony has 3 votes already, and if we use the 3 town - 2 scum assumption, there is an immediate red flag. So if you are wondering why I was not comfortable voting - there it is spelled out. But since that is suspicious behaviour to you Gary, we seem to be at an impasse. I have a solution, but I am not sure you will like it either. Vote: Tony (jluck) So unless there is only one scum in game, we can conclude we have either a scum bluff-voting or Tony is innocent. If he is scum, there will be some movement to get votes off him upcoming and we can wait to see what rat jumps off the ship. If he is innocent, we likely lost. This is precisely the play that I didn't feel was right before, and I still don't. But if this is our strategy, I'll tow the line. ((sip))
  8. ((sip)) Sorry, but I haven't had enough time to make me comfortable with my vote choice. To be honest, I was debating Anthony (potential low bias affecting my judgement) vs Tina (quiet activity levels), but I find myself with next to nothing to work with to form a hypothesis on them. Death bed confessions have proven unreliable so far, so I am discounting Stephanie's, but Tony's name has come up before. And I keep going in circles like that and probably should take the lead from veterans. At the same time, I don't want to jump on a vote this early because it feels rushed. The only thing I can firmly state is that Gary should be considered a solid foundation for town to work off, because if he isn't we have essentially lost already so no point in wasting energy on it. So that gives me a 33% or 66% of guessing which of you remaining three are scum, depending on if there are one or two. Gary's opinion of Anthony will be factored in now though. ((sip))
  9. ((sip)) Woke up this morning to a punch in the gut. Not only did I have Stephanie completely wrong since day 1, I may have just pushed us to the brink of a town loss. I'm frustrated and annoyed with myself more than anything atm; not sure what I missed or could have differently, but obviously there was something. And I honestly have no idea how to approach this situation going forward. #Crappy start to my day ((sip))
  10. Thanks all. I 'stole' that lantern design from... I want to say @Garmadon... 's awesome interior pub scene, along with the chair too, and I think he got it from someone before that. BoBS is great for hot-housing build ideas like this. It does force creativity. Unfortunately it also means you have to wait for your kids to grow bored with it before you can take it apart and start something else.
  11. That violet facade really pops. Nice choice. Not sure I would have had the roof peak jut out like that, but envious of the rest of your work for sure.
  12. Yep. That jumped out at me too.
  13. I love your colour palette. It represents sombre but actually quite lively. The build is great overall, but a couple things confused me. 1. Is that a bench under the door side window? I can't make out what it is supposed to be. 2. You went to a lot of trouble detailing the exterior ground but you did not tile the interior floors? Was that a design choice or an LDD restriction maybe?
  14. I knew this had been posted, but I couldn't find it! It got lost in the challenge entries. I believe I mentioned in PMs that I really like this effort. The build is solid (I saw the technique on the door arch... nice) and I like the colour choices. The distillery apparatus is quite awesome in design and authenticity. You tied it into our storyline beautifully too. Overall it is a great MOC. I noted you used a two-tone backdrop in the photo. You still have a lot of shadows though. Rather than buy/move lamps, do you have a big window where you get natural light? I "cheat" and use the sun to brighten my photos, and use a lamp to reduce back shadows. Not perfect by any means ofc. Maybe an option for you.
  15. ((sip)) I'll admit I spent a bit of last night running scenarios through my head. I'm going to try and carve out some time today to go over my notes and all the posts one last time. While I am fairly confident I/we have this right on LadyK, I want to be doubly sure in case we get to the point of a lynch. Our margin for error is so small. Your adherence to staying in character is really frightens me. ((sip)) PS: Ugh... really frightening.
  16. ((sip)) Fine Stephanie. Let's have another round of this. Dez didn't ask scummy. Dez asked for Gary to back up a statement, if he could, that cleared you. And then you and Gary pushed HARD and got him lynched him. What does that tell the rest of us? If anyone questions you, they are dead. Sort of what you tried with Jluck just now. When questioned, attack the questioner. And what it the purpose of this statement exactly? Bringing up my lack of experience is a PR tactic; belittle the messenger and their message can be easily discounted. It is stuff like this that makes you scream scummy to me. You have tried to control the narrative from minute 1 and have voted for/lynched four townies in the process. You have been bold as brass and the "veteran minds" have not seen this tactic before in scum, and so you have been marching us down the primrose path to a loss the whole time. You have us chasing minutia, while if we could just pick our collective heads up we'd see the whole picture because the facts are all there to see. Now since you asked nicely, am I 100% sure you are scum? Unfortunately no, or my conversations would be far different. Am I ~80% sure... yes. But there are at least 1 more scum in the game. Tina? Was going about her business real quietly until Day 4. I don't like that, but Amanda acted the same and I was wrong there (once again - my bad). Then again, TariqJ was kinda quiet too.. TBD Tony? Could be. His call for PR results seems genuine and makes sense, but he jumps votes way to easily for me. Which if you would go beyond final voting tallies you'd also note. Actor-builder? Honestly... I had him pegged as village idiot ever since he took his pants off at the end of day 3. I have literally no idea what he doing. Gary? The crux of my problem. He is either your partner in crime or a loyal town you duped. He thought process bounces around so much it is hard to get a read. So Stephanie, put yourself in my shoes. Which of these four have acted scummier than you this game? None. And all I keep doing is trying to raise awareness of you, which apparently is scummy now?! My thinking is if we want to win, we have to stop going off these dumb emotional hunches and start playing off of facts. I laid out all those facts against you earlier Stephanie before voting started (and look what that got me); no one else has more negatives attached to them at the moment than you. Your lynch is the best odds and probably our only shot at turning this around. ((sip)) PS: Correction *Dex didn't act scummy PPS: His thought process bounces... I miss being able to edit.
  17. ((sip)) Just so I have this straight; you are voting for me because no one ever found me suspicious enough to keep a vote on me until the end of day. In fact the only person to ever vote for me, was you Day 2 and you switched off. This logic has me nearly speechless. Yes I did get quieter as the game went on. Part of it was real life commitments and part of it was realizing I was looking like an big behind arguing in circles with LadyK about why she was suspicious every 10 minutes. I have been trying to shine a light in her corner since Day 1 and it is a bit frustrating that no one else can see what's there but me. But please feel free to ignore the mound of reasons on why she is scummy that I gave yesterday Gary... 'cuz I never got a vote. Vote: Stephanie (LadyK) And just for my records Gary, why did you target Stephanie each night if you had no way of clearing her? Blind faith? 'Cuz she had a vote Day 1? /facepalm ((sip))
  18. ((sip)) Stephanie, I'm having a bit of a hard time with this specific statement for three reasons: 1. You are the only remaining juror who has voted all four days for a confirmed town member. 2. Yesterday you started voting for Tony while Gary was on Anthony. So Anthony can't be part of your so-called typical town "block" if one of you were actively trying to lynch him. And both you and Gary bandwagon in the end anyway for another townie. 3. Both Amanda and Dez fingered you in their final posts before lynching. That you and Gary have being moving in lockstep since Day 1 has been pretty obvious to all. When I voted for you Day 1 and 2, it wasn't long before Gary was coming at me with accusations of scummy behaviour to scare me off. And then you talked to me privately Day 3 (or night 2?) to convince me to stop voting for you, and I bought it. BUT you now calling yourself "typical town" after being the biggest cause of townie deaths so far is self-glossing that is difficult to swallow. To me at the moment, this looks like you are a wolf trying to hide among the sheep. ((sip))
  19. Its a great build and stands out fine on its own. You didn't need the paint job tbh. Neat concept too.
  20. Am I missing something? Why can't it be three?
  21. ((sip)) Sorry Amanda. I read your silence wrong. This mistake is on me as much as anyone. Clifford, I am glad I had you read right (small consolation to you I suppose). I did NOT have Brock figured as Moletti or scum for that matter; a bit of a shocker this morning for me. ... I'm at a bit of a loss. My personal working theory just had holes punched through it. Time to pick up my notes and re-evaluate everyone. Jluck is right though. There is info out there that solves this puzzle. ((sip))
  22. Wow. I can see a lot of planning went into that fireplace. Clever idea and the surrounding ornate room is well built. I like the easy chair especially.
  23. /facepalm From now on, you are doing our negotiations for us. Why didn't I think of this... Great micro-nano-pico-build all the same. Those houses seemed to have been overlooked by everyone so far, but they are a great touch. The ship is awesome as usual.
  24. Damn Pombe! That was better than advertised. The skull and crossbones was an awesome idea!
