  1. Here's something- part 3741, the flower stem piece, appears to be able to connect to 2 studs positioned above the ground in a way that it can't in reality- there's no solid connection and because of that the piece would just fall.
  2. In contrast, I really hope that nothing truly terrible happens to the clones. It's such a cliche in TV shows and the like that clones are created, then randomly turn evil or die for very little good reason. In fact, the treatment of them in the previous comic- 'What matters is who we are and where we're going, not where we came from'- was actually a somewhat realistic/mature take on the subject. I know they're not exactly the most sympathetic characters, or very well-liked by the two mains, but other than hurt pride they haven't done anything to deserve a grisly fate of some kind. @KDog: Fantastic arc so far, can't wait to see the incoming finale!
  3. 1580 Lunar Scout- Theme: Space (Classic) LXF File Errors: Missing all prints; otherwise none, unless being unable to fit the 1x1 round plates into the compartments counts. Had this little-known Classic set from 1986 built for a while, but only recently got to finish it. Personally it's one of my favorites; you can't go wrong with a blue CS guy, eh?
  4. @Superficial Username: Hm, it appears to be a depiction of a 'Susan B. Anthony' coin, a rare version of the $1 coin (IIRC) issued for one year in the 1970s in the United States. At least, that's the impression I get based on the angled sides the coin has.
  5. @KDog: Yep! Been working on it for months now it seems, since before you stopped updating actually. Wow, really? When making that page I'd've never imagine that would happen. I just kinda saw an opportunity to make a fun page about my an favorite online comic of mine and took it. For it to be that helpful to you is beyond what I'd imagined could have resulted from the page's creation...and that's a good thing! It is indeed great to have you back, KDog. Hope everything goes better for ya now that you've got it sorted out.
  6. Alright. Slightly late, but I sent my turn earlier today! For my build I decided to go with a 'Classic Pirates' feel, and so my part (which is pretty much just a base with some supports) is made in that style. The ball's finally started rolling; here's hoping everyone will have fun working on this RCB!
  7. Great! There hadn't been a new comic for a long while; I'm glad to see it's still alive. EDIT: Oops, didn't mean to push the update off the page! The update post is one page back of course, or here's a link to the site if that's more helpful. Go ahead and see the new page! So speaking of, I finally have the opportunity to tell you guys about this... a month or two back, I created a TvTropes page for Lego: Space- The Comic. I managed to get a lot of content on there, but any fellow Tropers out there are welcome to help if they'd like! :)
  8. Heh, seems the punchline is also a bit of a literal 'punch'line, eh? : P And it seems Red's there too! Always great to see more Red.
  9. Me and my sister are both big fans of Space: The Comic, so I suppose I have two questions for you, if that's okay. : o 1. Has Schwartz ever had a pet besides Vanilla Snowball? 2. Has Schwartz ever met or talked with Red, the jetpack spacewoman? Also, a question for our venerable author : P : Going off of what was mentioned in this post, will the Cosmic Fleet Voyager ever appear in the comic? It's a great set with lots of cool feaures and (what could be) an impressive 'screen presence'.
  10. In the Green Army Man set, did anyone notice that the car is just a solid bright green version of the Indiana Jones Brickmaster set? I didn't see a reuse like that coming...
  11. This one is supposed to be very different, though, with all-new redesigned old levels and a new drop in/drop-out interface.
  12. Nope, the Batman game had its final line in 2008, the same year its video game version was released. The video games are not heralds for the end of a line- that's only happened for one theme so far, and everyone freaks out over it.
  13. Looking at the source material for each, I really don't see how Indiana Jones and Prince of Persia are all that similar. They share a desert setting, and...that's all, really. No same time-setting, no vehicles, style, villains...nothing. Also, Indiana Jones has had a video game before without ending. While that would be awesome, I doubt it'll happen. Looking at Lego's recent trend of resurrecting themes, they create new ones instead of keeping old themes- Agents, New Pirates, New Aquaraiders, etc., all without relation to old themes. So most likely we'd see a whole new theme.
  14. I doubt it, really. I would say in terms of licensed theme length, Indiana Jones is more comparable to Harry Potter, while Prince of Persia is a direct comparison to, say, Avatar or Speed Racer. Seriously, since when was the Prince of Persia movie set to become the next "big thing"? I doubt this is going to become an extremely popular. Does anyone else remember any other Video Game-inspired movies being much good? Normally, these kinds of movies don't turn out very well. It's sad but true. I don't see where this fear even comes from in the first place. The two themes aren't very similar at all- IJ has vehicles and many exotic locations, while this movie seems to have one city as its setting and no vehicles to speak of. We'll have to wait and see until 2010 to be sure. But as of now, there's really not much to be afraid of.
  15. Wow! That's a dream come true. Kudos and congratulations, Hinckley- you deserve it.
  16. I'm definitely going to get the Graveyard set- cheap Crystal Skull plus new Motorcycle mold make it a must! I'm probably also going to get the Venice chase- sure, there's no Brody, but the design of the boats/ dock is great...and the figures are just as well-designed. The fez looks vey Lego-ish, though maybe it's just the stud on top. Even the fighter plane looks a little better. All in all, another great year for Lego Indiana Jones!
  17. Actually, it is green, though the color on the 'real' plane is faded, which is why it appears dark grey. There's a good picture of the plane itself that shows the color in this thread:it's only or 2 pages back.
  18. I watched the scene again, and it seems that either set of guns is accurate to the film; Lao Che's gang uses hand guns at first, then switch to a Tommy gun for a few seconds before Indy gets the gunner. It would've been nice to get a Tommy gun with the set, but then you'd have batarangs in an Indy set, and nothing to do with them. Also, at first I thought the front of the gangster's car looked a bit incomplete, compared to the prototype, but it turns out that the prototype was wrong; there is no front to the fenders/mudguards in the film car. Look here at this pic from theraider.net to see what I mean about that. I can't wait for this set!
  19. Looks like the final version to me...
  20. Believe it or not, I actually like the new 'Dusenberg' better, especially when you compare it with the reference pic from the movie; the new hood ornament is great too . The figs are much improved, as well! Indy and Wilie look as expected; Willie seems to have a reversible head with a scream, and Indy both a hat and hair. I'm so glad they didn't reuse Sapito's torso for Short Round, which I thought was the case after the first glance. His face is a little odd, but not unacceptable or unwelcome (he did talk a lot during that scene, so..). The gangsters look even better; it looks that they're going for a cross between the generic gangsters in that car and Lao Che and his son (look at the closer gangster's face; it's clearly Lao Che, what with that mustache!), which is okay with me: I'd rather have black fedoras and new faces, rather than reuse of old faces and no Lao Che and Kao Kan. The car looks better in the back with the new arches: unfortunately, they took out the black flags for the front pontoons, but hey, that piece is easily obtainable, right? I know I have a few lying around. All in all a great set: I really want to get this one! (Wow, that was a lot longer than I thought it'd be...) I was wondering about that too. Hopefully it'll come along soon...
  21. It's hard to say anything about these pictures. Guess I'll wait for better pics too, then...
  22. Now that I've looked at it more, that Flying wing model has too many big (not necessarily <insert that tiresome argument>) pieces for my liking. And shouldn't the back canopy piece be bubble-shaped? That fuel truck looks great though. Shanghai chase looks awesome as ever. Hm? Three RotLA sets were released this year, and the Flying Wing is a Raiders set.
  23. City offering looks great next year, particularly for those of us who want more civilians. I'm probably not the only one who noticed a white fedora in the farm set.
  24. I love the assassin droid battlepack! Finally, straight metallic silver arms for IG-88 to hold the new blasters properly. And since it has 3 more of the shiny droids, we now have IG-88s A-D like in Tales of the Bounty Hunters! And I'll be getting that Clone battle pack, if only for the new blaster pistols in a cheap set.
  25. Don't worry guys, the figs are obviously preliminary. The sets themselves look awesome, especially the Shanghai chase. The Flying Wing is made of bigger pieces than I thought; the good part about that is that it may be cheaper. Looking forward to seeing the final fig designs! Hmmm, I just noticed that the background of the Flying Wing set is a picture of the flying wing from the movie, hence the bit of wing with swastika on it.
