  1. The suspense is killing me already! What could they put at 200 pieces as an exclusive? When is the Comic-con, by the way?
  2. Interview with Paul Freeman (who played Belloq in Raiders of the Lost Ark), about Lego Indiana Jones Here. Looks like Paul doesn't think his minifig looks much like him either. There's a new pic in there, it's of just before the Ark ceremony.
  3. A great, detailed review for an excellent set! I love the Jungle Cutter vehicle itself, and all the dark green! It's great to have the trees and cave entrance; you can never have enough extras! The figs are nice too; two Russian soldiers, the cool-looking general (I think his name is Dovchenko or something) and the repeated-but-still-nice Indy with RPG. Thanks again, looks like I'll be picking this up along with Jungle Duel. (By the way, I think this set is called Jungle Cutter).
  4. Wow! The Indy line just gets better and better. The plane itself is great. I really like the front and the hatch on the back. The extras are great too, especially the bigger, updated jeep, and the boxes, tanks, and even the swordholder. I guess Irina Spalko carries her swords around with her. Excellent work Lego!
  5. Wait, I'm confused. Does this mean there's no more Indy promo? Or is it some sort of mistake? Nice Indy magazine cover though.
  6. See, this is the reason why I subscribed to Brickmaster! :-D Just one question: will this be available to all subscribers? The article seems to imply that's the case...
  7. I just want to point this out- the Mutt face from the new IJ sets coming out in May seems to be another face with reused prints. This time, it's the eyebrows and chin line shared by all the faces above, and the eyes that are the same as Indy's. The only differences are that the mouth is different, and Mutt's pupils are bigger than Indy's. http://www.flickr.com/photos/no_onions/227...57603940580923/ ^ Compare this photo that Ace took from Toyfare to the pic above, I think you'll see what I mean.
  8. Hello! I'm back with a new, simple little MOC. It's a futuristic-looking motorcycle, paritally inspired by the Batpod from the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2968435 Straight-on front shot. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2968439 This is a more raised view of the front. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2968444 Side view. On the front is one of the guns. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2968454 Back view. I wish there was a way to align those backlights better... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2968458 This shows where the rider stands. I had always wanted to make a mtorcycle where they would stand, instead of sit. It leads for great dramatic poses. :-) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2968466 Shot of the rider, Axel, on the bike. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=299362 Link to whole gallery, which includes more pictures of Axel, and a short comic. Hope you like it! *sweet*
  9. It's not a big deal. Shiny lighsader hilts are still around, and are in no danger of dissappearing; it's just that they can't be put into many sets, and no more then one per set, because of the high cost of chrome pieces.
  10. Has anyone else noticed the similarities between the Indiana Jones, Bruce Wayne, and Dr. Jones faces? It seems that they based Indy and Dr. Jones' faces off the Bruce face and modified it according to the character. For instance, the Bruce face's eyebrows are recolored brown, the eyes are replaced, and then adds stubble to make the 'new' Indy face. The Dr. Jones face uses the same base, but uses Indy's eyes and adds a whole lot of detail (which is what makes it an awesome print *y* ). What do you think about this? http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2970427 ^ Picture for reference Just thought you might want to know. ;-)
  11. Thank you for all the compliments! *sweet* I spent a few months developing this (as I often do with my MOCs), so I'm glad you all like it. I plan to make more PA creations later, after I finish with some of my other MOCs. Thanks again!
  12. I'm taking a more optimistic view. I'm sure they'd eventually have to do some ToD sets, like the Ford airplane, the car chase, Club Obi-Wan, etc. I'd be really dissappointed if we had an Indy line and never even got a bridge scene, or a mine cart chase! |-/ Someone should ask one of the ambassadors about this... Here's hoping they were misinformed and we'll see some of the 'tamer' scenes from ToD later down the line. ;-)
  13. Hello everyone! Inspired by the recent post-apocalyptic trend, I made a PA-themed buggy, testing a simple suspension system. Here's the pictures: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2949599 Front view. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2949600 Back view. Sorry for the bluriness! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2949607 Side view. Note the small gun on the other side made out of a screwdriver, and the ammunition inside the car. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2949606 Shot of the rotating turret. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2949608 The suspension system. It works because the wheels are on a seperate rod that's attached to the body only by a black technic pin with friction. Thus, while you're rolling it around, it will go over surfaces and basically fix itself! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2949610 This is its simple 'interior'. Another blurry one, but it gets the point across. It has the capabiltiy to carry a passenger in addition to the driver. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2949609 The buggy's crew. One driver and one gunner- check! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=297545 Link to the whole gallery. Well, that's all for today! Comments and constructive criticism are welcome. Hope you enjoy the model!
  14. These new sets look pretty cool! The new gun looks like Han Solo's. I can't wait to get one, especially as it can double for a Mauser pistol for those Notzi's! *sweet* The Magna droids, though...there's something, well, off about them. I was hoping more for the Videogame style with a regular head and new cape attached to a BD torso with a clip, but I guess this fits the exaggerated Clones Wars style, so I'm okay with it. Great sets overall.
  15. The new Jungle Duel set looks great! I'm definitely getting one when it arrives in stores. *y* The other sets look great too, escpecially that awesome Jungle Cutter! The Temple dosen't compare and the River chase set is pretty good.
  16. I love the JT line. It's one of my favorites, and it always will be, even though it was discontinued in 2003 due to poor sales. It's not more dead becaue of the new Indiana Jones line. After all, we can still build Johnny MOCs- Indy certainly isn't stopping anyone from doing that! :-P This whole "JT is better because IJ is limited and Johnny can go more places" thing dosen't make any sense to me. You could appy that to just about any lisensed theme. It's like saying, "Classic Space is better than Star Wars becasue they can have more original ships/planets", which no one seems to mind... Adventurers had a long life, four whole lines to be exact. No other "in-house" series of sets compares. I think Johnny would be happier if we were not argueing, but instead adventuring. ;-)
  17. The game sure is looking great so far! *y* I like the look of the new figs, like Toht, the Hovito-we-almost-got, and the German mechanic. The secondary character powers and phobias also sound cool. It's come a long way from that first trailer, though they're not done yet; who's that standing next to Indy in the last screenshot, for instance?
  18. Hello everyone. I've got an old mod of the escape van from the Batmobile set released in 2006 I'd like to share. It's nothing special, but I figure it's worth posting just to get it out here. Sorry about the blurry pictures, by the way; I'm still trying to improve my photography skills. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2949549 -View of the front. I changed the lights from bright trans-green to a more realistic trans-yellow. Also, no stickers; I never put stickers on models. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2949557 -The back. I changed the disk to a wall, since A) I didn't have door pieces of that size, and B) I was trying to keep play features in. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2949559 -Back, with boarding ramp 'extended'. I got the idea for this from the mini-Batman movie on the website. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2949552 -White side, with weapon folded out. The gray side is virtually identical. Though you can't tell from this picture, I fixed the gap, so now the side dosen't have a huge slit in it. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2949556 -The top, where Two-Face sits. This holds him in much more securely than the official version, yet still allows enough leeway for him to launch. -There's a shot of the interior of the car, which has the submachine gun piece and lots of money (it is supposed to be a bank robbery, after all...). Unforunately, the picture is dark, so it's hard to see anything. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=297540 -Link to the whole gallery on Brickshelf. Constructive comments and criticism are welcome. I've got more models to post, and look forward to showing them here. :-)
  19. Thanks for such a warm welcome, everyone! *sweet* Well, my favorite themes are Town and Space, plus some of the better licenced (sp?) themes. ;-)
  20. Hello, good people at Eurobricks! I am Canticleer Blues. I've been watching Eurobricks for a while, and I can say this; it's a great place with good members, info, and a sense of humor, which some places sadly lack...Anyway, hope everything's good! :-)
