Picked up a copy of the Naboo starfighter finally. They had the Republic Cruiser but that set REALLY doesn't appeal to me and I'll probably pick it up on sale. I would've gotten the Echo Base set but that wasn't in yet (and that would've been only for the K3PO)

Alright, thanks guys. That's a little annoying that the quality control and effort put into this was so poor for such a hyped promotion though :-/

There needs to be a balance X-D Ah, but I do >:-) I just need to find the tan legs somewhere...I'm sure I have a few pairs somewhere. Problem is I keep all my figs assembled in a large bin *wacko* Also, you can buy parts from Brickshelf now? I'll keep that in mind :-P

Well I might have bought it on ebay ;-) BUT I bought it in the sealed bag from someone with high positive feedback who was quick to get back to me when I had questions. It was for real, I just question that one leg, if the rest is normal, is that too?

But from what I remember you didn't need the arm out at that angle...even so why is one leg chromed and the other isn't (as in the last picture)? It's still some pretty shoddy quality control

Here's the front: Looks normal, right? Well let's look at one arm: And the other... And the legs (I had to use the flash to show the difference): As you can see, something's clearly wrong :-/ If it's worth a lot I won't complain :-D I do doubt it though...a replacement would be nice since this is another clear case of quality control... Edit: From the pictures it almost looks scratched up, don't worry it isn't. That's I guess my fingerprints...I went over it with a cloth and it's nice and smooth and shiny...except for those three areas *sing*

So today I opened the polybag with the golden C3PO and noticed something...disheartening. I can't check *yoda*'s review since BS seems to be down, and I want to see if anyone else ran into this. It looks fine when you take it out of the bag, and it looks fine when the arms are perpendicular to the body, but you can't place the arms by the side or you see the regular C3PO torso. That's right, the chrome has huge holes on the sides, leaving large patches of normal 3PO if you try to put the arms down. I'll take pictures if anyone doesn't know what I mean. So basically I'm asking: 1. Is this normal? 2. Is this a misprint? 3. If it's a misprint, any chance on Lego actually sending me a normal one if I ship this one to them? :-| It looks fine with the arms out like a robot from a bad 70's movie, but this is a robot from a GOOD 70's movie :-D So...thoughts? Edit: Also the back of the left leg isn't chromed...and I opened a SEALED bag, so this wasn't a fake.

I don't know *wacko* It now redirects to "rent-a-clown" and it didn't used to. Those are still joker hench-men but I can't seem to find the trailer either. I'm sure you could find it on youtube anyway... That's all there was to it, there's still no more to it :-/

I wish Hinckley had shown us your avatar sooner so that I could have whipped up a welcome-vig for you (vig is short for vignette, a small scene usually 8 studs by 8 studs in area). I'll have to get cracking ;-) Even though you don't like the bricks I do hope you stay around and chat. Most of the topics Hinckley posts in end up having nothing to do with Lego anyway :-| :-P

Well the only problem with that is that it covers the barrel, making it kind've useless in terms of a bayonet, which is supposed to shoot bullets as well, otherwise it's a clumsy sword :-P It should be theoretically possible without modified parts by using a series of clips, but for realism nothing will be able to beat some good old fashioned sculpy or green stuff to mold your own

You have to remember that the dark skin means it would never be used in a system theme that isn't a license. All normal themes have yellow figs...it's the same reason we haven't (and probably won't) see black minifigs in normal themes, because yellow figs are supposed to be race-neutral

Well I saw a few movies recently... First I saw a movie that came out a few years ago called "Grandma's Boy". It's all about drugs and sex and is just hilarious :-D If anyone hasn't seen it, make sure to! Then I went to see Superbad, a comedy movie about highschool seniors trying to have sex before they leave for college. A lot of really funny moments that makes this the best comedy that has come out this year so far. Ending is great too *y* And I finally saw White Chicks. It was...eh.

Ug, it looks just as ugly before IMO. More details yes...but it's still full of holes and just looks like an awkward Striking Venom. This hasn't made me want it any more...just another crappy EF set IMO :-X

Well that was the point, he was playing the part of the egotistical fool. He was playing a part to get the audience to laugh at him since that's just in-character for him.
