Why, so you can watch some perverted filth on my TV? I don't think so, go watch your Star Wars elsewhere :-|
-
Hey guys what's up? I was just watching a ST:TOS marathon on this nifty satellite-TV I have, and I guess I lost track of ti- Hey why are people upside-down? Did I miss some sort of party, or was this some danger? And if it was a party why wasn't I invited? :'-(

Added both of you (sorry christian!) -
Don't you see that large grey (not bley) structure in the back? ;-) That's a special WIP X-D

Notice how the walrus was the embarrassed one. You have a big ol' smile on your face X-D

Remember *yoda* posted a picture of sinner balancing you by your crotch on his nose? You responded "Hey! That's private :-$ " :-| And john has a point, but I have to admit that I was glad this topic was made. BS was down for a long time, as far as uploading went, and I had a lot of work to do. I really cleaned up my desktop, as I had completely stopped checking BS since it wasn't working for so long...

I'm not the one who has a picture in a thread on here with his face in my crotch...

Thank god it's about time :'-) Not that I'm not grateful or taking BS for granted :-| I'm just glad it's back up

Well I'm going to build a fair number of small anti-fighter automated turrets on the ship, but I still want at least 10 large guns total, or 5 turrets of 2. I'm thinking the 10 big guns will be complimented by 20 or so small light guns that are automated. I'm not sure if the smaller guns will come in ones or twos yet though. I like your ideas though :-)
-
Well I can't make it thinner, if you notice the cockpit is exactly the width of the window, and if the entrance was in the back, it would be a hassle to get around the seat, as things are now it doesn't really get in the way (since I can't make it thinner). Also I'm confused about what you mean, only two turrets total, one on the top and one on the bottom with nothing on the sides? I can't do the bottom gun I'm afraid because of the large lift it will have there, not to mention the fins would block most of the range of fire, it would only be able to fire forward :-P Maybe I'm misunderstanding though?
-
Well, I was going to put another pair of turrets two panels to the left and right, so that there would be three on the dome, then another two on the sides (one on the left, and one on the right). that's well within 20 studs, in fact it's only 12 studs :'-( So I guess just keep this turret for something else and start from scratch? I wonder if I should make a turret entirely on top, or just make it imbedded in the shell. I don't really like that idea though, as it doesn't allow as much rotation and coverage as this goes, albeit it gives better protection. I'm a little stumped on how to make it so much smaller though, I mean it needs to be big, I hate guns that are small...they need to be big to have any sort of power, and as a capital ship's main guns, they need to have some kick to them. And Hinckley, how many times have I said not to judge a book by it's cover? the top is really pretty nice |-/ I think I'll wait to make the turrets until the dome is finished... On second third thought, I think I'll use two of these turrets for the sides, and make three smaller ones for the dome
-
So sinner I'm kind of worried that it's too big/bulky. I took a picture of it on the current skeleton, what do you think? I mean clearly the shell will look much larger when it's all there, rather than just a few beams and whatnot but...eh :-/ Thoughts? (:-P)

Well the area that gets lowered won't have anything sitting on it when not being lowered, so the floor itself should have very little weight to it. The gears aren't loose, they tend to have a fair degree of friction, so I think that would be enough to hold it...at least I hope :-/ I guess we'll see when we get there :-D
-
No idea why you'd want presents with male strippers popping out but to each his own 8-| Happy Birthday ;-) :-D
-
Well, no string/cables will be used. I'll have a technic gear setup, so that when I turn a knob in the back, the teeth of a gear will lower the floor via those 1x4 plates with teeth on top, but on the vertical. If that doesn't make much sense you'll see when it's built :-P

Well you're the expert :-$ I hope you know, now you've just volunteered to be my personal military ship detail female canine encyclopedia >:-) But really, my reasoning was that if a civilization was so advanced as to have a fleet of battle-ready space ships, then elevators would have eliminated completely the need for stairs. The problem with this, however, would be the waiting I suppose...especially if people need to get to their stations in a hurry :-X I do have an elevator planned, as mentioned above, for the docking bay though, just a large section of the floor that will lower down to the ground to let out ground troops/assault droids/tanks, so I guess that's similar to the cargo elevator in a way...
-
Well a lot of it is in the design stages right now, but it's very satisfying to see it really starting to form *sweet* I don't have most of the parts...so let's just say BL is gonna be a close friend these next few months :-$ Coming soon should be the 400-odd hinge bricks I need to finish the skeleton... Of course, how else would they get anywhere? :-D It needs to be functional, as close to a real ship as I can get. You need to have everything accessible...hence my dilemma of the elevator :'-(

New turret design for the cruiser. I built it in a couple of hours, so it probably needs a little refinement, but that's what this place is for, right? X-D There will be five in all on the ship. Designed to rotate about a turntable with the actual guns being rotate-able. The hole in the floor is where the gunner enters from the tube mentioned earlier. Seated in there is a soldier from the pilot category, as the training was similar. Gallery for the turret can be found here Gallery for the soldier types can be found here whenever BS goes back up (i.e. I'll edit it in later)

Actually wait a minute...this is in no way a pirate MOC, it's a castle one...you guys do know there's other parts to the site, right? :-P Moved to the correct forum

I voted EU. Let's face it, if you're a PT fan you didn't grow up with the OT and have no idea what SW is really about :-P The PT just sucks...I don't know why everyone loved Ep3 so much...it was better than the previous two but it still wasn't close to being star wars...:-/ They've done almost everything in the PT that's worth doing (and many that weren't doing). IMO the PT vehicles just suck...I mean the N1 starfighter can't hold a candle to the X-wing. The venator is a pathetic wannabe Star Destroyer (can anything get cooler than a SD?). Nothing in the PT could touch the Death Star, and the droid fighters were cartoonish and just bad next to the T.I.E. fighter *wub* The PT lacked vehicles in the first place, and what they did have was uninspired. The OT has been done a lot, and while there are many more possibilities (OT battle packs, Tantive IV playset, REAL hoth set, real AT-AT redo, etc), the EU is so much more untouched. I'm just gonna say this, we need a Clawcraft and official Thrawn before the license expires

Figuring out how to do it. Should I include a motor? Should I make a shaft? Should it be like a tube? It's so hard/confusing to make an elevator on a SHIP, there's so little room to spare
