  1. Space Police 3.
  2. Of all the LEGO fandoms Bionicle fans seen to be the most combative.
  3. That does seem a little high, but all of the latest SW sets are a little overpriced. Specifically the Republic Gunship. I'll still get it. Once again I really don't understand why a minifig that's worth about 50 cents is the deciding factor of a $30 purchase. Sure, it'd be nice to have a few minifigs, but not $30 nice. I'm getting them regardless of the minifig count- it's the set that's important. I sure hope the HSD is a neat $20 purchase. If that's the case I'll definitely pick it up- any higher than that though and I'll leave it be. I like the way it looks but it seems a little small compared to how huge it was in the movie. The DGS and Republic Tank however are must-haves, no matter their price.
  4. I don't think any of these sets are TRU exclusive, are they?
  5. Who cares if there are no minifigs? It's the set that's important.
  6. Uh, I'm pretty sure you turn the gear to drop the bombs which you thought were flick fire missiles... LEGO's done that before. Could be wrong though.
  7. Do we have price tag guesses on these? The HSD looks about $20 to me, and the gunship about $30. I'm not sure about the other two...
  8. I really have no idea what you're talking about, but if you remember the story of Mata-Nui and Makuta being described with stones by the Turaga, and the Toa fighting the elements controlled by the bodiless Makuta, it certainly had a religious overtone.
  9. The 08 Mars Mission wave takes priority over Star Wars in my book. It's more fun to make up your own universe than to play in someone else's, and Mars Mission has much more room for imagination. But I still can't deny that the gunship looks awesome... plus look at all that Navy Blue!
  10. The more I look at the new SW sets the more I like them... shame I don't like licensed themes that much. :/ The construction is so good, though... I'm really impressed with all of these sets (besides the twilight, I don't know what they were smoking when they made that). The HSD is cool more for the fact that it's a HSD than it's construction, really, but it still looks good. Gunship is absolutely terrific. Just look at the head! That is some quality LEGO building. "Fighter Tank" (stupid name lol) looks great too. I want all three of these, but I'll probably skip the CW sets. They look good but not worth their money. Besides, I've got Agents, Mars Mission, and the other SW sets to buy!
  11. Dude, minifigs are yellow. I've never liked LEGO's attempt at making them more realistic. On a side note, I remember someone saying that the tank's frontal fins look stumpy... isn't that because the pages are folded?
  12. My interest in Bionicle waned in 2002, when the Bohroc failed to impress me, and it hasn't captured my interest ever since. 2001 had that surprisingly original, primitive, almost religious quality that was appropriately vague, yet specific enough to make for some great stories. It let us use our imagination - for the quest for the masks - by simply providing a new universe to play it without spoon-feeding the storyline to us. It roped me right in. Since then, though, Bionicle failed to interest me. It seems like LEGO isn't trying anything new, because they're afraid it won't appeal to the Bionicle fanbase. Have they forgotten that trying something new was exactly what saved them from bankruptcy in 2001? Apparently so; the storyline and set designs get getting more and more contrived. This was most evident with the Visorak and Vahki. I really do miss old-school Bionicle, though. I had a collection of free Bionicle CDs that came with some of the canisters. It was just an ad, really, but it sure was fun to mess around with. I remember being so impressed with the new pieces, and how much it had improved from ThrowBots and RoboRiders (on a side note I prefer TB and RR to the new Bionicle sets). Now we're spoon-fed licensed themes and half-hearted originals. The only theme I've been really impressed with is Agents. Shame I'm too much of a space fan to really get into them.
  13. Ew. Skin-colored minifigs.
  14. That clone tank is better than I thought it would be. It looks really well built. I'm not sure how many of these I'll get, if any, but I'm tempted by the Spider Droid and Gunship. The Droid looks like the legs may be hard to play with, though, and I'm worried that the gunship won't be too sturdy, since it looks a little underbuilt. The tank looks good but it's probably a little too expensive for my already flinching wallet. The Twilight looks mediocre, and not worth my money this time, although I might pick it up for the pieces if it ever goes on sale.
  15. It looks great as a tank, but I've gotta say that it doesn't fit Mars Mission at all. If you dropped the MM title, as a stand-alone tank that thing is a beast.
  16. I don't get why people hate the sub. It looks SO much better than this.
  17. Well, the interior of the Base is as unimpressive as I expected, so I'm probably just going to buy the sub, which I still think looks great. I can see that the mini sub can dock into the back of it... potentially cool as long as it doesn't fall out.
  18. I thought the Clone Wars sets were more impressive than this Death Star, which people only seem to like for the minifigs...
  19. "The Russian troops stumble upon an ancient artifact of the legendary Three Transvestites."
  20. I can see why people think it's cool- it recaptures so many old SW scenes very nicely and in one neat, spherical package.
  21. Wow, that's crazy. I hope everyone is OK.
  22. Eh. I would never by this before the UCS Star Destroyer. And I don't spend more than that much on LEGOs.
  23. Does anyone know when that Ultra-Drill Walker comes out?
  24. And of course, grabbing attention is the underlying goal of every statement I've made.
