  1. Welcome to Eurobricks Canotiho!
  2. I braved the snow and ice (had a slow motion collision with a tree and lost the tailgate from the Truck) and picked up another BL order from the Post Office... ...Truck's fine BTW
  3. Welcome to the forums Yvan. I think to answer your question about 'ever having enough Lego'. Sure I suppose that might be possible, but it's a theoretical limit and no meaning in the real world....
  4. Excellent job!
  5. Lovely video of a good looking layout! Thanks for sharing it with us...
  6. My wife bought me a whole bunch of second hand lego. I pulled out one piece at random and then using Peeron discovered it was from the Police Van from last year. Then I grabbed the rest of the pieces and built it. Now I'm searching for a SW build.
  7. I particularly like the Diesel tank you've got and the lower sides of the Trailer. Looks good, although you're right about it maybe needing an extra row of bricks on the Trailer. But you could always turn it into a Container and get the additional height through the base plates.... Just a thought. I like it!
  8. I like the DrkRed! It does need to stand out and I like the Cone motif on the roof! It just needs some shutters so that it can be closed up for the night - or is it open 24/7?
  9. Fantastic! Great detailing on the facade and a sumptuous interior and the scene of the workmen laying the pavement is really well done (well one working and two drinking Tea). I love it! Good luck in the competition.
  10. The Chemical Brothers Out of Control Play loud, play often
  11. It's a thread about ancient AFOLs and Monsinjor turns up with his Grim Reaper avatar - very funny!
  12. I'm in.... I remember when dirt first turned up. And the only MOCs we built were of the freakin' pyramids. Eurotrash, Aged 53
  13. Welcome to the forums JoashColbat! I think you'll find that most of us are amateurs here.
  14. Welcome to the forums Vladimir!
  15. I like it! Another impressive creation from you.
  16. That's a super space you've got to build in! Congratulations and I can't wait to see how this city builds up over time. Two thumbs up!
  17. Crikey! My first thought was that my monitor was broken, but the color combo is slowly growing on me. It's certainly a very visually striking creation you've got there and I like the facade and the interior details you've built - the binoculars for the hospital beds was a great approach.
  18. Welcome Erumu!
  19. Great styling! And it looks faithful to the source. I like this a lot. Thank you for sharing it with us.
  20. Welcome to the forums kyuui!
  21. Welcome to the forums Squiddos!
  22. I think we've all experienced doubts from our loved ones at one time or another as we came out of the Dark Ages, but in the great scheme of things Lego is a very benign vice to have. It's social, creative, educational, fun and mentally stimulating. As a kid Lego is an easy hobby to have; Birthday and Christmas presents and pocket money can be used without question to build up the collection. It's accepted without question, but the challenge we all face is how to approach Lego as a mature, sensible adult (YEAH RIGHT!). Here's what I've learnt (although your mileage may vary) Set yourself a modest monthly budget and other than ridiculous to-good-to-pass sale opportunities that come up try not to waver from it. You really don't have to explain to anyone why you find Lego so compelling - there's no justification needed. Be proud of it! Embed Lego throughout your life (Facebook posts and pictures, Lego calendar on the desktop at work, MOCs on display somewhere - in your home, but especially public places, Lego case for the iPhone, etc.). Be yourself! I work as a Maths Ninja for a Tech company and I used to get a fair amount of grief about Lego at work until I showed them pictures of my MOCs. Once they saw the effort that went into the creations and the results those comments ceased. Now I get asked questions from some of them about what sets to buy their kids at Christmas and I was recently asked to build a MOC of main office. Honestly it gets easier as more people know your Lego addiction - just stick with it and know there's a bunch of us rooting for you across the world.
  23. Yep, that Land Rover looks spot on!
  24. Good job everyone. You made voting hard! 8: 1 10: 2 13: 2 14: 1 17: 2 22: 2 And that concludes the voting from Missouri...
