Gentlemen! ) It gives me great plesure again to present you my latest CIS vehicle MOD: Homing Spider Droid. ) Some of you may have the set and many that do say thai it looks silly, cartoonish and is hard to pose. ) Here I tried to mod it so that it looks like a mighty CIS vehicle, and to make it accurate to hight ans size. ) Some of you may ask, why I chose such an odd subtitle. I think that the actual set is a but overloaded with useless details that make it look silly. You'll see what I mean. ) General view: (You can see that it's taller than the original one and matches its "real" hight perfectly!) Now to the mods in detail..... The legs mechanism: (As you can see I've found, after multiple variants, a simple and easy-to-do variant how to make the machanism pose the legs in the correct posture. So that the connectors are "diagonal" to the body.) The lower cannon: (I got rid of all useless, in my opinion, details and left it like that. It looks more accurate that way. So you can see that more doesn't mean better..... ) The upper cannon and the "eye": (The dark gray axle from the lower cannon can be effectively used to simplify the upper one. I really hated that trans-red dish in the original set, so I desided to make a amaller and more accurate "eye". ) The leg: (I really hated the old huge "foot": that abomination reminded me of those terrible huge boots the clowns sear! And since I hate clowns, it was the first thing I got rid of. Again after countless variants I came to that simple construction that is great for posing and holds the entire droid perfectly. ) General view: Bonus: Oh, no! It has fallen!!!!! Call the fire brigade! Roger, roger! "Hey, there's no fire here!" General picture: Thank you for your attention, gentlemen! I hope you liked it! )

A lovely review, KimT! ) The set is indeed good and worth buying, no doubt. ) And I'd love to swoosh some mid-scale vehicles around the flat..... I sure hope TLC releases morew of them, so that we can have really nive space battles with them! *BANG!* Thanks for the review. )

The pleasure is all mine, Pi! ) Sure. I'll make some additional pictures. ) Oh, I think I should put the explanation in my signature afterall! ) ")" stands for my usual polite smile which I usually have while speaking in real life. ) If I put multiple ")" that means I'm either laughing or very exited. ) Good day, gentlemen! )

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! *laughing like Peter Griffin* Thank you very much, huck to flat! ) I'm glad that you liked it. ) A gracious bow to you, pedro, fr you kind words! I always highly appreciate your opinion. ) As for the eyes, I guess it's not that clear from the picture, but in real life they do look normal. but still, thanks for the tip! I guess, I'll dot them, when I pull myself together to make red dots on all my 50+ SBDs. ))) Thanks a lot! ) Um, stupidly? Thanks a lot! ) Here's a link to the episode where it appears: Thanks, bro djo! ) No not quite. Earlier in the topic I briefy named all the changes and alterations made. ) Well, I haven't been collecting lego since 1989 for nothing! ) Thank you, sir. ) Thank you very much! ) Really? You think so? Well, I may try adding some..... I'll see what it may come to. ) No, I never liked the speeder. And in the back I have an area for cargo. Good day, gentlemen! )

Nice work as always. ) Though I hate clowns and everything that's related to them, I must say that this MOC is very nice. ) I must say that you found a nice way of making the gester goon look "not-out-of-place" like mine. That was in fact the main reason why I swithed to mimes. ) The go-carts are quite nice too. ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Thank you. ) Thanks! ) I'm flattered. ) I think so. ) I have never seen it been done before. ) Thanks a lot! ) Thank you. ) I also think it looks better that way. ) Thnks! ) Perhaps I should start buying old MTTs, revamping them, and selling. Thank you. ) Oh, I'm glad someone still remembers it! ) Well the part was over and I meant no extra conclusion to it. ) But Part 2 may may appear soon. ) Thank you. ) I guess such a nice battle droid as you might want to ride that vehicle. ) No-no, it's indeed gray + dark gray + dark blue. ) As for CIS leaders, I would really love to see the Confederare Council, but alas, it's highly unlikely! ) Good day, gentlemen! )

Well there are some really great ideas here, Batbrick! ) But my choice would be some generic gotham buildings. ) It's always hard to create anything in a proper classical Gotham style, so I guess that might really be a challenge. I myself started making some (if you remember), but soon ran out of bricks.... ) So I guess I nice, well-desighned building would be really lovely to see. ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Good day, Teddy! ) Thank you very much! ) Yes, indeed, I used the old brown one as a base for mine. I changed the colors, some minor details, decorations and patterns. ) Plus, I modifyed the front and back doors, made it a bit higher and a stud longer. For some reason, I didn't take pictures of the inside compartments, but there I made a cargo space where a speeder was supposed to be. ) Thank you, once again. ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Thank you very much, Commander Fox! ) Yes, it indeed looks very nice near an AAT, but a bit small still. Oh, well. ) Thanks, I also like my Tambor minifigure, though it was not very popular, when I first posted it. ) I still have plenty of ideas for MOCs, so I guess I may be adding a new CIS VIP in each entry. ) Pleased to hear. ) Indeed, they are not sold in Russia. ) No, of course, I didn't use any pen or things like that. I used special minifigure paint (I used to paint and play Warhammer a lot ), that can be found in any Games Workshop store. ) Good day, gentlemen! )

Thanks a lot, SWMAN! ) Though I must say that my General Pingvin is not new to this forum. He has been a character in my SW comic story: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...t=0&start=0 No, not quite. ) General Pingvin is 100% purist LEGO. And Wat Tambor has a custom head, mask and markings non LEGO body. ) Thank you very much, KimT! ) I'm pleased that you've found it nice-looking. ) Someone had to do it earlier or later! ) Thanks a lot, ILikePi! ) I beg you pardon? Sharpies? ) Thanks a lot. ) I also think that it looks much better in grey-blue color scheme. ) Thank you very much. ) Oh, you are too kind! ) Well, I've been painting Warhammer minifigures for quite a long time, so it's much easier for me, I guess. ) A lovely idea, I must say. Hm-m-m-m-m-m.... ) Thank you very much, Skipper 24. ) Though some hate the new CW series, I find it really good, and it's also a great source of inpiration. ) Thanks a lot! ) I'm trully honored. ) It does look more menacing, doesn't it? ) Oh, thank you very much, Future74! ) I still hope that TLC will release more confederate leaders in future. ) No sets in paticular. A penguin is a wise bird: has something in each of multiple nests. So I gathered the required parts and made it. Note, that I changed some details according to my taste. ) Thank you very much, friend! ) Your opinion always means much to me! I really don't know what else to say: pure positive emotions. ) Thank you very much, Matteo Kenobi! ) Oh, I'm flattered. ) Thank you for your comments, gentlemen! )

Sherlock Holmes Adventures.
The Penguin replied to The Penguin's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thank you! ) Though this entry is, unfortunately, not ligitimate anymore, let's just consider it to be a regular MOC. ) That's the only custom detail here. ) Thanks a lot! ) Despite the unfortunate turn of events for Mr. Holmes, I still am glad that you like the minifigs. ) We won't. Yep, it seems so. When I was entering I bore in mind a law that a product may be concidered licensed only within the period of 50 years after it's been done. ) But now I see the point, and thye matter is settled. ) Well, I might have tried that and called him Erlock Sholmes, but that would go against my ideas of morality. ) So Ilet it just remain as a separate topic. ) Well, that's perfectly ok. ) I see your point and understand it. I must say that I'm not disappointed at all: I'm just glad that I finally made myself make the photos (I have had them ready, weating for some occasion for quite a long time! ) The main goal of all my MOCs, MODs and minifigures is not to show off or boast, but to share some ideas with the members and (if they find them good enough) to give them fun. So, I'm just glad that you liked them! ) Good day, gentlemen! ) -
Um, pardon, but is that me, you are adressing? ) No, I wouldn't say so. ) Though I've been playing Warhammer (table one) for quite a long time, I'd have to say that, perhaps, only gunners bear some influence of the Thunderers. But that's also quite questionable. As for the rest, I mostly took inspiration from good old games (now forgotten by ye young lads ). Such as HMM II or MM 6,7,8. Good day, gentlemen! )

London, 1890-s. The story takes place in the great Victorian Era. A rare precious gem is stolen! Scotland Yard is at a loss, and only the Great Detective can solve the mystery. The theme may introduce Sherlock Holmes, John Watson and other classical detective stories characters, as well as some historical figures of the era! As for the sets, it can be anything from a big victorian mansion set (withclues and secret places), to a small cab set, so that we can add extra playability to the theme. ) Now to the main characters. Along with classical Sherlock Holmes..... (Like most minifigures in my entry, Mr. Holmes is 100% purist LEGO. And it is the fig to represent the whole theme. The torso comes from Lucius Malfoy of Harry Potter Knockturn Alley set, which represents the costume seen in one of the episodes in Holmes TV series, starring Jeremy Brett. I really liked that "exited" look on the face, so I chose that particular head for Holmes. ) The cape is supposed to show his coat, iwearing which he's frequently seen in movie adaptations. ) And, of course, his classical, hat. Taken from Henry Jones Senior. ) ....Dr.Watson ....to some generic victorian chracters, such as a Policeman .....a pretty victorian Lady ...... and a victorian Gentleman. ) Plus in the theme we will be able to see some historical events. British Colonial Troopers: And some historical figures, such as my favourite Oscar Wilde. ) Thank you for your attention, ladies and gentlemen! )

Gentlemen! It gives me great pleasure to present you my latest SW MOC: Confederate MTT! ) How could such a great CIS fan as me, not make one? ) First of all I must say, that I made it as I see it: that is I did not base it on the one shown in CW cartoon. I never liked their variant, with those ghastly-looking pale blue markings..... I think it looks "sick". ) I tried to make my version to have a mighty look, to give you a certain impression, that's it's a vehicle to be taken into account on the battlefield. ) General look: Side view: CIS insignia: Rear door: Escape hatch: Front round door and cannons: Side door with CIS markings: Ready to be loaded: Wat Tambor: General Pingvin, I present you our laterst modification of the MTT..... General Pingvin: Thank you, I might need one soon. ) Bonus: Remember those awesome droid gunners from CW cartoon? ) So, I decided to include my version of them in this topic. How can an MTT come without an AAT at its side? ) The crew of two gunner droids: Thank you for your attention! ) Comments are very welcome, gentlemen! )

Thank you, djo! ) I'm flattered. ) Yes, they are all Batman characters, though I don't usually stick to some particular source, and make characters, vehicles and places from comic stories, cartoons (BTAS, mostly), films. ) Thank you very much, alex12! ) I'm glad that you like them. ) Well, yes I guess mimes are the best part here, indeed. ) I hope you'll also like the upcoming part! ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
I strongly doubt it. ) Despite being a Bat-fan, I don't really like that comic. I was inspired more by, say, "Batman of Arkham", but mostly it' my own vision of the place. ) Thank you for your comment! ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Thank you, gentlemen, for answering. ) Especially you, YnyklY! ) Um, glory of the Empire? ) Prosperous society that won't create pirate scum? ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Gentlemen, it's not often that I write in that forum, but I couldn't miss this topic. For which I thank the author. ) I must confess that I find the position that "pirates are good guys", to put it mild, an odd one. I mean how can criminal scum like those burglars, killers, rogues of all kind be good guys? I don't take into account the romantic view on the pirates, because it's historically incorrect. but in that matter I can understand that a child is free to make up his own story. But I definitely cannot undestand the position, when an adult mature person likes such thing as piracy (and means it) and claims it to be a normal thing. ) Please, gentlemen, do not think that I'm taking the toy too seriously, but I guess that my ideas are going far beyond LEGO. ) Good day, gentlemen! )

Thanks a lot, Bluebard! ) Thanks! ) I just carefully painted yellow heads white, making sure that yellow is not seen. ) And made some mimi makeup. ) Thank you, comrade! ) I hope, you'll like them. ) Yes, this time, I was about to post it in Minifig forum, but decided not to break the tradition, and post it here. But my next part will have at least two vehicles and one place, so it wn't be a problem. ) Well, I understand you. He's not the best villain, but still..... ) "I miss working for The Penguin!" © mime goon in Batman: Vengeance Well, I did not use that head for Shreck. ) I had Marion's for him. Well, for Thorne I have an alternate version, perhaps, you'll like the one coming better. ) Yes, I really love that villain. ) He sometimes seems to me even crazier that the Joker. ) Thanks for you comments, Batbrick! ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Oh, and I forgot that he was ever there! ) It's from Harry potter - Neville Longbottom's head. perfect for a village idiot. )
-
Thank you! ) Thanks, Oky! ) Yes, I tried my best to find a suitable face for him. ) Glad that you liked them! ) Well, Brown's head comes from my SW comic! ) Well, speaking seriously, it comes from some Speed Racer set. But since I haven't watched the movie, I can't tell you about the character. ) It's the largest one, I guess. ) Good day, gentlemen! )

Thanks a lot, friend! ) much appreciated! ) Well, yes I paint them. ) I'm not a big fans of decals, so I paint torsos and other parts. ) Thanks again! I've already uploaded another part, but it seems it's not that popular as this one! ) Indeed. ) Still, I hope TLC comes to its senses and renews the line. ) Thanks a lot, and well-said about LEGO Batman being a memory! ) I always appreciate your opinion. ) Oh, come on! ) We'd really love to see them. ) Thanks a lot, friend! ) No, the piece is not glued. ) I gust worked a bit with 4-studs sound flat brick to ake it even thinner. ) Well, I tried a non-shiny one, doesn't work at all for me..... I tried to reverse the piece: even worse..... I might paint it though. Hm-m-m-m-m..... I should try that..... ) Thanks again, and please do post your MOCs too. I'm quite sure you have plenty of them, ready to amaze us. ) Because it looks like, EB is experiencing a shortage of good Bat-MOCs. ) Thanks a lot, BlueBard! ) Indeed. ) And it seems you're a pretty wealthy accountant! ) Thanks a lot! ) It's Harry Potter's Knockturn Alley set. ) Oh, thank you very much! ) I'm honored! ) Indeed, thank you. ) Thank you, kobe. ) Yes, I did paint her purse. ) So, what holdes you back? ) I think it isn't hard at all, if you have even a moderate quantity of plants. ) Thank you, Oky! ) Indeed, I was inspired by that image, but I never really liked the innterpretation itself. ) Too futuristic to me. ) Yes, it is. ) I might add him robotic legs, after all. ) I made a hole. ) Thanks, I always appreciate your opinion! ) I tried this. ) But didn't like the result. ) Thank you. ) Obviously, you haven't seen my other Batmocs, since in all of them I portray the Penguin as a normal person. ) Thank you. ) Thank you for your comments! ) Good day, gentlemen! )

Great as always, WhiteFang! ) Thanks a lot for the review. ) Oh, after you reviews I always buy those sets..... Good day, gentlemen! )

Ladies and gentlemen! ) I'm proud to present you my new MOCs and MODs theme. ) I hope you'll like them. ) The citizens of Gotham are amazed by the new vehicle on streets! Who can be behind this? Doesn't look like Scarecrow..... "Don't you look at me! It ain't mine!" Oh, no! It's the infamous Farmer Brown! (I'll give you a referense pic, if you don't know or remember him. ) "Yes, it's my tractor!" Mu-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! Joker and his 4 new mime-goons! ) Now, my personal favourite: Rupert Thorne! ) Two old friends! ) Oh, and I couldn't resist posting my new Simon the Pieman! That perfidious Pieman!
