Survivors of the Leaf-pocalypse
The Penguin replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Looks very good, indeed! ) And I also like the small stories about each of the characters. Looks like it may evolve into a decent, say, comic story..... ) Looking forward to seeing more of your nice figs. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
Well, How could I have missed such an awesome thread as this?! ) Great work, Hound Knight! ) You definitely have a great talent for painting. All the works here are just marvellous, very well capturing the characters. ) Could I, plese, also cut in, and ask if there is any chance to see a (pompously polite as I am ) Penguin drawing? ) Good day, gentlemen! )

Indeed, nice minifig. Very nice one. ) Black and red togther look suprisingly good on Robin, I definitely should try doing so with one of mine. Thanks for the nice fig. ) Good day, gentlemen! )

REVIEW: Indiana Jones 7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle
The Penguin replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
Awesome set and another great review! ) The geatest mystery of LIJ is solved for me now: now Batman fans can get 2 Scarecrow's goons! Yay! ) Plus I just love, love the motocycle. Gotham streets are just waiting for one! Well, and I find the striking resemblance between mutt and indy a nice step by LEGO. Very clever! ) Thanks fo the review again! ) Good day, gentlemen! ) -
Thanks for the review! ) The set is indeed awesome, I definitely ought to get several of them. ) One question: is Tommy-gun in any wat different from Batman ones? Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Looks pretty huge to me. ) Though, the first thing I think about upon seeing sush MOCs: where is he going to keep it? ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Thank you, Marko. ) I hope you'll return to our friendly bat-fans family! ) And you have a nice collection there! And I'm looking forward to seeing your new wonderful MOCs. ) Thanks a lot, djo! ) No, I don't usually draw any plans and sketches. I try to keep it all in my head. ) Well, I guess, I might count them one day..... ) You are always welcome! ) Thanks a lot! ) Thanks friend! ) Much obliged! ) As for the bricks, yes, huge MOCs sometimes are difficult to transport, that's why that happens. ) But, it adds to the image of Arkham, does it not? ) Well, I can't find any other words to thank you, so just thanks again! ) In fact, when I was writing that I was watchinf Family Guy and there was a song "A bag of weed", but still I hope that it didn't ruin the creepeness! ) Thanks a lot! ) Thanks, comrade! ) Why not? ) You seem pretty crazy to me! ) Just kidding..... Thanks a lot, Tanotrooper! ) Thanks a lot! ) i thought it might be an unusual way to present a MOC that way. ) Thank you very much, Shoc! ) Yes, I also like those statues with balls: looks very Gotham-like in my opinion. ) oh, you are too kind! ) Thnks for comments! ) Good day, gentlemen! )

Ladies and gentlemen! ) IT GIVES ME GREAT PLEASURE TO START MY 600-TH POST WITH WORDS OF GRATITUDE TO YOU. I'm proud and honored to hear all your kind words and useful suggestions. I hope that my future MOCs wil earn the same high ranking, as this one. ) Thank you very much. ) Yes, I'll update the pictures as soon as possible. In fact the popylation of the asylum is comprised of (practically) all of my batman villains. You can see them in a special topic here. ) Thanks a lot, Skipper 24! )Much obliged. ) Well, I left the Penguin, Catwoman, and some others out intentionally since they are perfectly sane. As ordinary criminals they are held in Blackgate prison. Yes, the statures came right from Tim Burton's movies, and I guess they don't look bad here, do they? ) Thanks again! ) Thank you very much, sinoxp! ) No, Bane arms are taken from rock monsters, and painted with some work for making them smaller. ) As for the dust, well that MOC has been around in my room for, say, 3 months, and it became really dusty. I cleaned it a bit, but decided to leave some to give the exact feeling, you've had. ) As for additions, thanks they are extremely useful. ) Well, In fact I had several versions of this MOC. The first one had ladders, but they blocked the view, so I got rid of them for the sake of playability and clear view. Plus, it's meant to show only the front of the huge asylum, so ladders can be in the back, can't they? I intentionally made Arkham look stand-alone and I only added an old tree near it to give it a desertyed and abandoned look. I could have added trees, ivys, something else, but i just felt it was wrong. Perhaps it's my own phobia, but huge open spaces give me the creeps. ) I avoided using floor elements, since I don't really like the way the playable MOCs look when they are all sleek. ) It reduces playability and, in my opinion, is good for vignettes, but not living MOCs. )Why would anyone risk to give Ivy a plant in a cell? ) Thank you, again. ) Much obliged. ) Thank you! ) I wonder, why does everyone have a grudge against castle walls? Yes, they are not perfect, but they do not look that awful to me. ) Indeed, the girl with glasses is Harley 9that's how she normally looks.) And Clayface is also present on the first ffloor in the left wing. ) Thanks a lot, WhiteFang! ) I'm pleased and honored. Well the earlier darker pictures, indeed, should have given a creepy feeling and later pictures were made in an unusual for me bright manner in order to show you the details clearer. ) Now, I guess, we may understand why there are so many outbreaks in Arkham, and why any treatment is obviously in vain! ) Thanks again! ) Thank you, Skinny Boy! ) In fact it's my ultimate goal, to keep the theme alive untill TLC comes to it's sences and resume the line! ) Thank you very much! ) Thank you very much. I'll make points in order to make it easier to read: 1)No, the use of walls is not due to the lack of grey bricks, I still have plenty, but because, as stated above, I don't really have anything against them. Plus all those multiple windows should have give a kind of a chaotic look to the respectable-at-first-glance building. ) 2) Earlier in the post I've mentioned about vegetation. But I may add some and make a pic, if you wish. ) 3) The ball piece can be found in Castle theme and crappy Bionicle one..... ) 4) Thanks a lot for you kind words about the cells. Indeed, I gave them a one in a row look, without any personalisation. For Arkham personnel, they are just pets.... ) 5) I'm looking forward to seeing your view of Arkham. ) Please do give us a pleasure of seeing it as soon as possible. ) 6) Well, it sure will stay. I still have big plans for it. (*cough, comic, cough*) And i guess, it may have something extra, but not much. ) 7) Thank you again, I always value your opinion. We, Bat-fans, should stay united! ) Thanks a lot, prateek! ) Which movie? I have seen at least three-four interpretations: from prison-like Begins, to Asylum-like BTAS. ) Harry Potter? How lovely! ) How come? ) They are from Castle and Bionicle sets. ) I fell into herecy and bought a Bionicle set to get them! )))))) Thank you for your kind words, gentlemen! ) I'll try not to disappoint you with my future MOCs and projects. ) Good day, gentlemen! )

You approach old rusty gates of Arkham Asylum. You see a large lock on them. Suddenly you hear some footsteps..... "Welcome to Arkham Asylum. We do not usually get many visitors. I shall show you the way...." (The man with brigh blue eyes speaks quietly and slowly, but you can't help but feel scared of his creepy voice for some reason.) "Arkham was built in the 19-th century in a unique Gotham architectural style....." "This way, please....." "This is a hall for our visitors....." "Your name, please? We register all our guests." "Now, let us start with the left wing. This is our reading chamber." "We have the finest collection of books on our specific topic....." "Now to the first floor. Here we keep our most amusing patients. Though, aren't they all lovely?" "I'm sure, you are quite familiar with all of them...." "Two-Face, Mad Hatter...." "Scarecrow....." "The Riddler. Oh, we have them all here. Isn't that marvellous?" "Now, our little pest, the Joker. Singing his rude songs again.... Poor thing. I guess, he needs therapy again. Intensive therapy." "Poor Harley Quinn. She keeps lingering to the wall to hear her lover....." "We've done here. Shall we go to the right wing?" "This is our therapy room. We don't usually let strangers in, but I guess, we can do it for you....." "Here we treat them, and keep experimenting to find a cure for our poor pets..... oh, I mean patients, of course." "Shall we visit other patients then? Simon the Pieman here..... He still thinks he's a great villain." "Our strongest patients here: Bane and...." "..... Killer Croc." "Maxie Zeus." "And our lovely flower, Poison Ivy." "The Creeper. We couldn't make him put on proper cloth, so we just had to leave him that way....." "What do you say? No, silly. That's not an empty chamber....." "It's your chamber!" "Don't be so scared, dear. You just need some therapy, I guess....." The end. Some general pics now: Thank you for your attention. Any comments, ladies and gentlemen? ) P.S. Thanks to kobe, I've just noticed myself that on some pics you can see a reflection of my camera. I'm terribly sorry about that and shall update them as soos as possible. )

The Batmobile vs Joker's Mobile Disco Truck
The Penguin replied to Righteous Squid's topic in LEGO Licensed
Nice work again! ) I like the truck especially. Looks pretty crazy to me. ) Please do continue, and I'm always eager to see your future MOCs..... Good day, gentlemen! ) -
What's your Favorite Licensed theme and WHY?
The Penguin replied to legoindy01's topic in LEGO Licensed
Batman! All the way! ) The theme gave us so many awesome details, figures, heads, torsos, ideas! The sets (most of them) were pretty great, full of playability and nice-looking. The main and only downturn was vehicle vs vehicle concept, but, still what was done, was done greatly! The game is seriously the best Lego videogame to date (not only because it's Batman). And it had such great potential! ) Bring the theme back, TLC! Still, we Batfans are united and firm in our movement to create many new Batman MOCs and MODs! ) Good day, gentlemen! ) -
German Fighter Plane (as seen in the videogame)
The Penguin replied to LuxorV's topic in LEGO Licensed
Awesome work, LuxorV! ) I really like the way you did them. Especially the tank. ) I'm never good at mid-scale building, so I'll have just to admire the great job, you've done here! ) Good day, gentlemen! ) -
REVIEW: Indiana Jones 7197 - Venice Canal Chase
The Penguin replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
A great review of a great set. Thanks, svelte_corps! ) The figs (I'm mostly interested in them) are trully amazing aren't they? The torsos, the heads! Wonderful! Elza will go great for my Gotham! ) One question: her hair, what color is it? The same one as Willy's, I presume? ) Thanks again! ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) -
Yes, indeed, you are right! No offense meant... ) *taking off my top hat and makig a delicate nod" Though, you might have noticed that when I make larger and more important posts I write "Ladies and gentlemen". ) Plus, I usually dwell in Licenced and Star Wars Forum, where we usually don't have the pleasure of seeing young charming ladies. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! )
-
Thank you. ) I'm a great fleshie fan, so I would definitely back your petition, but, too, would never dare to do it outside this forum. ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Lovely. Every set is absolutely great for Batman! ) So many new fleshie heads! So many awesome torsos! Such nice details and colors! ) I never though, Indy would exite me that much. ) Good day, gentlemen! )

I'n 40% evil. ) I guess, I'm a true Penguin after all! ) *waugh-waugh* "A bit of evil lurks in your heart, but you hide it well. In some ways, you are the most dangerous kind of evil." Good day, gentlemen! )
-
A very fine set, indeed! ) I may even get one, and mod it for my PT collection. But what amazes me more is the selection of minifigures! ) Especially the lovely Mon Mothma, , who may not look exactly like in the OT, but with certain modification, again, be great for PT. ) And who wouldny't love to make a vig with mon cals? Still, pardon if it has already been stated, is the red sphere a new design death star, or simply some old detail? ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
How come I'm often the last to notice nice MOCs here? ) Great work, LuxorV! The boat looks very good, and I've never considered it to be such a nice thing, judging by the game. Never paid much attention, frankly. But once you've made it in 'true' LEGO form..... ) Great work again! ) looking forward to seeing more from you! ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Source? ) As far as i remember, it always had an integrated droid brain. )
-
Isn't flick-fire missiles feature enough for you, Oky? ))))) Thanks for backing my ideas. ) Indeed, I guess, it's no more than that, since CA Tank droids had a habbit of row wave attacks, crushing everything in their path. ) Not much space to manouver. ) But the set is still great, thanks to it's nice color scheme too. ) Though, it could use some dark blue, in my opinion. ) Good day, gentlemen! )

The topic wiil, no doubt be closed. Still, here you go: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=61584

I don't think so, it (such mechanism) would have boosted the price greatly.... I guess they just wanted to show that the tank can easilly move forward. Perhaps, some unusually easy-to-go design? ) Good day, gentlemen! )
-
Oh, how I love the set! ) It looks awesome! (Am I going in circles when telling, how much I love it? ) However, it doesn't look much like the one in ep.3, more like in CW. Still I definitely like this one much more.... Ep.3 CW: Still, I guess his tracks are a bit "flabby", I guess removing one tread, may help here. ) Good day, gentlemen! )
