  2. that would be the 1971 sci-fi film, The Andromeda Strain. tho you did make it a bit too easy what with the title of the film being in the hypertext of the pic.. > O |Tarfful
  3. welp. it certainly shows. anywho ~ that would be a UFO crashing into the US Capitol Building from the film, Earth vs. the Flying Saucers. |Tarfful EDIT bleh! late again.. /:

  11. it's a curved 2x2 lip.. > O anywhat. your rendition of the teaser trailer was quite amusing, FF, the basketball R2 unit forced quite the smirk upon my face. > < |Tarfful
  12. yupyup, you got it! that would be Peace the rebellious robot from the 1977 film Wizards. tis quite the trip, isn't it? |Tarfful
  13. I still have yet to watch Krull, though I have added it to my ever growing list of things I should watch. I wonder if it's on Netflix.. anywhat, here's another picture for ya: this one should be quite easy.. hopefully anyway. |Tarfful
  14. right on. I've never seen it, but that would be Krull, if I'm not mistaken.. |Tarfful
  15. let's take it out of the black and white era for a second.. |Tarfful
  16. I'm glad to hear you had a veritable happy ending to your less than ideal transaction.. as for the aforementioned question, I'd say let 'em go out in a blaze of glory; drench them in lighter fluid or whatever you have handy and light 'em up. tis how I used to dispose of Mega Bloks on droll summer days during my teenage years, heh. |Tarfful, who would just like to say, fire is the only acceptable way to purge the grotesque Canadian plastic that is MB ;b [imho]
  17. I'll bite. that would be Clarence and Mr. Bailey from It's a Wonderful Life. |Tarfful
  18. dunno if you saw those, they're still very much preliminary but it's the best we've got s'far.. |Tarfful
  19. 75087 Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter [The Azure Angel] 75085 Hailfire Droid the pics aren't exactly new, but they are a bit clearer then the previous versions at least. they still have the 'Confidential' stamp on them so I figured it would be safer to link them instead of directly posting them.. my humblest apologies to your index fingers. Xb |Tarfful, who can't believe he finally broke radio silence.. it's only been like 4 years in-between posts.. >///< ALSO the clutter of banter not related to the actual sets in this thread makes it pretty irritating to read through, just sayin'. this thread is supposed to be about LEGO sets, not TV shows or wishlists or what have you.. c'mon guys! there are plenty of other threads for all that riff-raff: Star Wars [Culture & Multimedia] Star Wars Rebels [Culture & Multimedia] Post Your General LEGO Star Wars Questions Here [LEGO Star Wars] Future Star Wars Sets [LEGO Star Wars] Most Wanted Star Wars Characters [LEGO Star Wars] just to name a few.. my apologies if this is taken as micro-modding or whatnot, I don't mean to step on any toes.
  20. I never said it wasn't...I agree once again entirely that it is not a good design for the fig it was intended for, but LEGO is a kids toy and I was just thinking that if a younger kid were to play with it at some point Mace would find himself piloting the Flitknot. It's not much consolation for any AFOL and probably a lot of kids as well, but it's something, which is better then nothing. Heck tho, I never even said that I was sure if Mace will fit, I was just saying he might. Twas merely speculating. [: -Tarfful
  21. When I read your post I couldn't be sure if you were talking about the speeder that is the subject material for the one in 7868 or not because the general design has been around for a while and is even officially cannon... plus it's been featured in two previous sets as well; 7103 in 2002 & 7752 (2009). I thought all shock over the initial design would've diminished by now... > O ah, but even as I type this I'm leaning more to the consensus that you were just commenting on the somewhat awkward design interpretation in the set in question, and I whole heartedly agree that in that aspect it is indeed a bit awkward. However, it looks as tho Mace might fit, if a bit snuggly, into the speeder... and I'm sure it would take minimal modifying to allow the Tactical Droid to sit in a nice relaxed position.Anywhat. I'm getting more used to the color combination on Mace's new Delta... mostly thanks to grogall's high resolution pic. > < -Tarfful EDIT Design wise? No. But there are a few slight color alterations from what I can see... use this as a reference. And you can find the answer to your second question here, just scroll down to "Apperances". > O
  22. Yeah, I know. That's why I edited my post shortly after posting it... I just didn't get why we're using the tiny box shot when we have a much larger and henceforth more detailed pic of 8129. Anywhat, more-so on the topic at hand, 10212 looks fabulous and has quite a fair price to piece ratio as well. Mos def my favorite upcoming Star Wars set. What would have made it absolutely perfect was if it came with the Endor task-force of Han, Chewie, Leia, Luke, R2-D2, C-3PO, and a few Rebel soldiers in Endor garb instead of the somewhat bland assortment of figures... but hey, there's always something to complain about. ;P| Tarfful, who can't wait to see what else is in store for us this year set-wise... |
  23. Hey all, long time no post... anywhat~ Thought I'd share a pic of the overpriced Imperial behemoth I found that apparent;y hasn't been posted as of yet... | Tarfful, who really is debating a name change, it's not as if anybody recognizes me anyway... Xb | EDIT: Nevermind, my first post in months and as my title blatantly states, I am indeed an eternal noob... >.<
  24. Just ta let ya know, his name is actually Chef Mung Daal. > O|Tarfful
  25. So basically, according to the majority in this thread, anything and seemingly everything that was seen in the CN LEGO mini-movie is now a rumor? Some things are way more plausible than others. And truth to be told, I would love it if every rumor people have suggested / made up came true, but come on! Let's just be slightly more realistic about this, okay? /rant over. Anyway, the new set lists are extremely tantalizing. I hope that some of them will be Ep.III and not CW as earlier suggested as I'm getting a little sick of the CW orientated minifigs. Now I just have to somehow gather up the patience to wait for the prelim pics to see how this will all pan out. Hopefully I we won't have to wait that long :b ||Tarfful
