  1. Wow there, tone it down theestampede. He was just asking our opinions so we gave them to him, no need to get all upset and angry. -Tarfful EDIT: Spelling and grammer check.
  2. OK, I will... later. Right now is my official bedtime. Why the 10th Anniversary of Star Wars Lego of course, which is 2009 by the way. "TLG" stands for The Lego Group. -Tarfful EDIT: Spelling and grammer check.
  3. My personal favorite of 8158 and 8159 would be 8159. (Taejo & Racer X) The figs are much better then the ones from 8158, and I think the design of the cars is a little better, plus there are fewer stickers. If you need more info on 8158 or 8159, you could always check out my reviews of them via clicking the links in my signature. Also if you can afford it 8161 is supurb, 7 awesome and very useful figs, plus a monkey in Rown. There's also ample amount of useful parts and accessories included with the set. Also as far as I know if you live in the US Target is still having a sale on Speed Racer Lego sets. I got 8161 for $10 less then MSRP, $15 less counting the $5 Target coupon I used, it twas a great deal. I also got the 8160 for cheap too, thus completing my Speed Racer set collection. Reviews are pending. Hope that helps your situation Erdbeereis1. -Tarfful EDIT: After reading Erdbeereis1's most recent post in this topic, I have this to say... I think Speed racer as an entire Lego Theme is worth collecting, if not for your love of Speed Racer then for all the great minifigs and parts included in the sets. FYI I collected it for the minifigs and cool parts, I didn't even know what Speed Racer was until I saw a trailer for the movie, I'm still not sure if I like Speed Racer (apart from the Lego sets), but I know a good great Lego Theme when I see one. EDIT 2: Spelling and grammer check.
  4. Sounds like a great idea to me, I'm game! (he he, I couldn't resist. ) -Tarfful
  5. I think you should of worded choice number two's description something like this, "Mon Calamari set with just the Hangar and Observation Deck potion of the ship.", this way the poll would not be so one sided. Worded as it is, of course I voted for choice number one. On another note, TLG already specificly said that they're going to give us only the Hangar and Observation Deck portion of the ship, so this pol probably won't affect the actual set. -Tarfful EDIT: Took out about 80% of my post due to my realizing how foolish I was.
  6. TLG is giving us a poll to decide what a future Star War's Lego set will be and still people complain!? Am I missing something here, haven't we all been wishing for this day since 1999? What I'm trying to say is, come on guys this is awesome, stop being so cynical and be happy that TLG even wants your vote at all. In other words, lighten up guys! On another note, on the subject of being able to vote as many times as you want for whichever option you want, I read over at FBTB that you have to wait a certain amount of time or close and then reopen your browser for your second or third or fourth ect. ect. vote to count. That being said, to test this information I voted for choice one about 20 times and choice two and three about 10 times each. If you just so happened to skip reading my post up until this point this will be news to you. I voted for all 3 choices, but I voted for Palpy's Arrest more then the other options. Why, you might ask... well it's because I'm extremley Prequel Trilogy biased and we are guarnteed three brand new minifigs with choice number one, while we are only guarnteed one with Home One, and none with the Slave I/Cloud City rehash, though hopefully if choice two somehow wins we'll get another printed arms/legs Boba Fett. On another note I thought I might restate some info I've stumbuled upon about the poll and the set options themselves, this may or may not be news for you. -First: the poll for the 10th Anniversary and for the TRU exclusive set are independent from each other, this means that this poll is not for the 10th Anniversary set, just a TRU exclusive set that will be released the same year. If you question my logic, then the flying ninja monkeys will come eat you and your Lego then just click here. -Second: the set choices will all be around the $100 dollar mark, I think I saw this on FBTB too, I just can't remember where. -Third: If you don't vote for Choice number one, operation "Lights Out" will comense beginning with you. Up next, if your interseted , my summary of what might and what will be included with each choice. -Tarfful EDIT: I took out/changed most of emoticons. EDIT 2: spelling and grammar check.
  7. -First off, how dare you call the AT-AP ugly, blasphemy! -Second off, the new RGS has 4 troopers total, that means Commander Cody, 1 regular Phase 1 trooper, and most likely 2 pilots. The AT-TE as far as I know will still have only 1 trooper besides Rex , but I hope/pray/dream this will change before August. -Thirdly a CW BP is almost a guarantee, later this year or in 2009. So, be patient TLG will make sure we can all get as many Phase. 1's as we want for our armies at a decent price... eventually. 2008=crap Awesomeness ON! -Tarfful EDIT: Spelling and grammer check.
  8. Great creation Dreamweb! I especially like how you did the head, simple yet brillant. Now, here's some friendly advise on how to improve your Iron Man: -First: replace your current shoulder piece with this one, in Red. -Second: replace all the the flat 2x1 plates that have their studs showing with this piece, in their respective colors. -Third: you might want to put this piece (in Red) on his "feet" (this piece) to make them less boxy. Of course this is just my opinion, he looks great as he is now. -Tarfful EDIT: Spelling and grammer check, there were alos to many "of course's" for my own good.
  9. Ooops, my bad. I didn't see the very begining, it makes a little more sense now. Still looks like they caught the riddler and not defeated him though. Thanks again, Tarfful
  10. It was pretty good, if not a little short, I really liked the sound effects. One question though, why would Batman and Doctor Who kidnap the Riddler? Maybe they need help with a riddle? Anyway, a short but sweet movie you have there ???theriddler???. -Tarfful
  11. I voted as follows: Most hilarious- Oky Wan Kenobi Most horrifying- Hinckley Most original- xwingyoda As always good luck to everyone that entered! -Tarfful
  12. The first time I clicked the provided link it sent a virus through my computer causing about 50 of the display windows for the website you provided to simultaneously pop-up! No worries though I know it's not your fault plus I finally clicked my way through all of them anyways. Aside from the afore mentioned tidbit I was very excited to hear the news, until I realised it isn't available in the US yet. -Tarfful
  13. Happy Birthday Iamded! Hope you have a very ded lively party filled with family, friends and lots of Lego! Sorry about the "ded" joke I just couldn't help it. -Tarfful
  14. Yeah I knew it was a joke, but I thought you might like the info anyway. Yeah, but it would be a ball that could destroy (mini) planets, now that's my kind of ball. Silly-Off-Topic-Banter Over. -Tarfful
  15. It was a tough choice so many good entries , but I ended up voting for LegoJoe. It reminded me of an actual Lego set, so it got my vote. -Tarfful
  16. Happy birthday ExoBuilder! Hope your day is filled with friends, family, cake , and most importantly LEGO! -Tarfful
  17. Thanks for the news Ras 74, it's much appreciated. I bet TLG feels pretty proud of themselves, they actually kept one secret for once. Noooooooooo! You bursted my bubble! Seriously though thanks for setting me straight Whung. Hoping that TLG makes two 8030's ON! -Tarfful EDIT: 5 emoticons for 5 sentences, sheesh I think I have an emoticon addiction.
  18. Actually it has, it's 10188. -Tarfful
  19. That would be me. On another note to all the people with thoughts that these new Mini's are the Star Wars BM exclusive sets let me set you straight. -First off the set numbers for the Nov.-Dec. BM exclusive set will be 20007 and the Jan.-Feb. one will be 20008. This information was derived from adding 2 and 3 respectively to the set number of the Sep.-Oct. BM exclusive set, which btw is 20005. -Second of all if the previously listed info isn't able to satisfy your qwest for knowledge the this , hopefully will. The set numbers for the mini's so far are 8028, 8029, and 8031, this means that there is no possible way for them to become the Star wars BM exclusive sets, unless TLG decides to give them complete box number changes of course. There I hope that's set you guys and gals straight that were alittle confused over this whole "Mini's=SW BM exclusive sets?" ordeal. Also you might or might not be wondering why I said "...for the mini's so far...", I said it because the Mini SW set numbers go from 8029 directly to 8031 leaving out 8030, this would lead one to believe that TLG has at least one more Mini instore for us this year. Intriguing no? Hmmm... my thoughts on the unusal greeble: it doesn't look that noticeable because of the fact that you can hardly see it in all the other pics of the V19 so to me it's not that big of a deal. It actuall gives a little more detail to the bow of the ship, plus if you don't like it you can always just MOD it out. -Tarfful
  20. No problem darkrebellion. Read a couple posts above tis one. It's OK we all get tired and grumpy sometimes. -Tarfful
  21. You're welcome Erdbeereis1.
  22. Wow, thanks Klaus-Dieter for the instructions/pics of the mini V19! Great find. It's my favorite of all the minis, not only does it look great but it has the most useful parts, to me at least. I can't wait to nab a couple of these babies. Mini V19 army ON! I hope they're not going to be promotional, that would be infuriating! It won't be the BM exclusive, the box number is incorrect for a Brick Master set. -Tarfful
  23. Is it just me or is that comment a little rude? Tone it down alright commandosevy? It's OK Sir Dano, at least you tried. And as the saying goes an Elephant never forgets, wait I'm not an Elephant! -Tarfful
  24. The first thing that popped into my head when I read "Post-Apoc Gunship" was cool, someone made a post apocalyptic LAAT/i. Guess I always have SW on my mind. Anyway great stealthy gunship you got there Inertia. The engines are very original and I love the overall shape of the craft. The only suggestions I have is maybe using some tiles to make the top of the gunship smoother, mainly around the cargo bay, and to make the cockpit more air tight. -Tarfful EDIT: Don't worry you're not the only one who dislikes Star Trek.
  25. Hey guys, I was at Target here in Des Moines and I was surprised to see that all Speed Racer sets are on sale! The details: 8161 Grand Prix Race was $59.99 now it's $49.99 8160 Cruncher Block & Racer X was $39.99 now it's $34.99 8159 Racer X & Taejo Togokhan was $19.99 now it's $14.99 8158 Speed Racer & Snake Oiler was $19.99 now it's $14.99 Plus you can still use the 5 dollar off coupon on purchases of $25 or more! But hurry in the sign that I saw said the prices are only good from May 4-10. Sorry if this has already been posted. -Tarfful Oh, I almost forgot if you don't have the Target $5 coupon already you can view it here, just save picture as then print as many times as you please, it's good till October. EDIT: Went back to Target today and I had a closer look at the sale sign, it turns out the sale is actually from May 4-10 unless I somehow got it wrong again.
