This is the set of the year... period. Even though I'm a CW junkie, this has got to be the most awe inspiring and sentimental Star Wars set ever released (so far). Now here's a few thing that I noticed from the pictures that were so generously provided by svelte_corps: -There are 13 different sections all with ample amount of playability factors. -Those 13 sections represent the following places/scenes: 1) The Death Star Conference Room. 2) The Trash Compactor room where Han, Luke, Leia, and Chewie are almost crushed (and for Luke almost eaten alive) to death. 3) The Detention Block command room where Han has a nice chat with some Imperial Officers. 4) The Death Star main weapon firing station. 5) The room from which R2-D2 and C-3PO save the rest of the heroes from being crushed to death in the trash compactor room. 6) The Tractor Beam generator (which Obi-Wan deactivates). 7) The room where Darth Vader gets his daily manicure meditates. 8) Two Turbo Laser batteries (on the outside of the DS). 9) The Emperor's throne room (where Darth Vader and Luke duel). 10) The hangar with Darth Vader's Tie Advanced X1. 11) The bottomless pit which Leia and Luke swing across. 12) A storage room with a little crane and some boxes. 13) The thirteenth section is not shown completely, but I'm guessing that it's the place where DV and Obi duel. As shown on the box in a small picture towards the bottom of the box. -There is a firing missile that can be seen (in the pic of the box) shooting towards nothing (as usual) over Alderaan. -It appears that TLC has begun chroming Lightsaber hilts again. -More than half of the figs are redesigns or are completely new. Now onto the minifigs: As you might have noticed this set come with more minifigs than some people have in their entire Star Wars collection. Here's a list of the included minifigs: -Emperor's Royal Guards, we probably get two of these guys because of the fact that we've only ever gotten them in pairs. -Stormtrooper, just your standard trooper, we will get at least two (as shown in the pictures). -A redesigned R2-D5 -A redesigned R2-D2 -Princess Leia -An unknown droid (recolored IG-88), who I think is supposed to be some sort of Sith Medical Droid due to the fact that he is seen with Vader in his Meditation Chamber. -Old Obi-Wan Kenobi, in standard Jedi garb. -Redesigned Darth Vader -Han in Stormtrooper outfit -Grand Moff Tarkin -Redesigned Emperor -Death Star Troopers, we will get at least two with this set (as shown in the pictures). -Mouse Droid -C-3PO -Chewbacca -Han Solo -Luke in Stormtrooper outfit -Luke from Episode IV -Luke from episode VI -A black Death Star Protocol Droid -An Imperial Torture Droid Total Minifigure count *drum roll*: 24+ minifigs! More than any other Lego set ever I believe. That's all I can think of right now. Quite a hefty price point, but it looks like it is well worth the money. No they shouldn't, because the set covers both the DS I and II. That would be a smart assumption darkrebellion. In closing, I would just like to say thank you to svelte_corps for making my day with these wonderful pictures. Now all I want are some better pics of 7678-81, and for all these wonderful sets to be free. -Tarfful, who has no idea how he's going to afford this, only that he will somehow find a way.

Thanks simonjedi, for that amazing pic. Well, that means we'll be getting a New Hope DS. So, trash compactor monster, Luke and Leia swinging, Obi-Wan vs Darth duel, and Deathstar Troopers, Gunners ON! On another note, Rebelscum has confirmed that the Clone Commander seen in this trailer from 3:23-3:25 with Padme is indeed Commander Fox. That means, that the mysterious red Clone in 7681 is probably CC-Fox as well. Another interesting side note is that Obi-Wan, Anakin and of course CC-Fox all have at some point the Galactic Alliance symbol on their armor, I wonder what the symbol for the government that came after the New Republic is doing in the Clone Wars? Refence pic of the Galactic Alliance symbol for those of you who don't know what it is or what it looks like: -Tarfful, who spends way too much time browsing SW related sites.

I only found out about it by playing Super Smash Bros: Brawl, I still don't fully comprehend all that's going on in the series though. On topic now, I got my title from making this comment about myself: Dieno (rather generously ) originally suggested it, and Hinck made the suggestion a reality. Sometimes I wonder why I can't seem to keep my big mouth shut hands off the keyboard. -Tarfful

Right now, The Pink Spiders (Punk/Rock) and The Hoosiers (Indie/Pop). -Tarfful

Welcome to the best most beloved (at least by me) Lego site on the web, it's always nice to have another SFOL here on the boards. That town layout is simply epic, kudos for such a massive undertaking. On another note, what other themes are you into besides Town? -Tarfful
-
Welcome to this wonderful site Nich Arti! I'm looking forward to seeing some of your custom figs, and decals. Also, whenever I hear about the term "seaplane pirates", (Which BTW isn't that often. ) I always think of the Disney cartoon show called Spin Tales. On another note, what official Lego themes are you into? -Tarfful

Welcome Ace Kildare to this wonderful site we all so happily inhabit called EuroBricks, I hope you enjoy your stay. It's also nice to see another LIJ fan, I take it your a fan of the movies too? What other themes do you like? On the subject of Lego "wargaming" you might want to check out BrikWars. Also, for buying Lego sets no longer available on S@H you might want to check out BrickLink. Hope I was able to help you in your quest for more knowledge, and subsequently more Lego. -Tarfful

Welcome back SW4J! You along with xwingyoda and Vader were one of the main reasons why I decided to stop being a lurker and join. You all made this community seem friendly and welcoming with your quirky remarks and warm attitudes. So I'm very glad that at least one out the three has returned. So, in short welcome back SW4J for whatever reason you chose to return! -Tarfful

Some models made from box inspiration...
Tarfful replied to commanderbly42's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice box art models, I especially like the Scorpion Turbolaser. Also, good work on the backstorys, they were very well done. On another slightly different note, are planning on doing the other inspirational model from the back of the box of the 7250? If you are I can't wait. -Tarfful, who was waiting a long time for someone to make the inspirational models from 7250 and 7258, (especially 7250) and was not disappointed. -
As far as I can tell, it's all guess work right now; unless I missed a crucial piece of the (metaphorical) puzzle somewhere... BTW, I'm lovin' that Commander Neyo avatar! -Tarfful

Since I don't have a UCS MF Luke either, I thought this comparison of the two photos already posted side by side might be of some help. At least I tried to help. (Even if I took the easy way out.) -Tarfful

I like 8637, even though it reminds too much of the volcano base in Disney and Pixar's movie The Incredibles even the Agent's flying contraption looks like it was barrowed from the movie. But the pros out way the cons, such as the massive ampunt of pieces in new and unusal colors, great figs, and a good design. 7636 on the other hand apart from the nice piece selection is a let down, it just feels and looks too much like an Alpha Team set to me. Though I'm holding my final judgement for these for when I've actually seen them in real life. -Tarfful

Thanks for the news Navy Trooper Fenson! But, why WHY WHY must the so called pilot in the V19 have a fin!?! -Tarfful

Woah, you finally started again! Great positioning of the elements you have finished so far. On another slightly different note, that's going to be a pain in the megablocks to landscape! -Tarfful

Lucas Arts upcoming video game information leaked!
Tarfful replied to Tarfful's topic in Culture & Multimedia
1) It was new to me, but then again I'm not a big SC fan. 2) Who said it was going to be an Lego Indy IV game, all that is confirmed so far is that there will be another; besides one whole Lego video game devoted to one movie seems like a bit of a stretch to me. 1) But those were just rumors, and this is not a rumor. 2) I don't think so as there were two LSW games before LSW:TCS, so it'll probably contain Indy IV and The Chronicles of Young Indy. 3) Yeah, I know about the product placement in the LIJ game. 4) You said above that you knew there were going to be KOTOR III and BF III, but here you state that they were just rumors. To me rumors and facts are two very different things. Nope, remember this info was leaked so don't expect anymore anytime soon, unless Lucas Arts wants to layoff more employee's that is. Vitual lightsaber duels ON! Thanks for the info The Rancor it's much appreciated, also you forgot about Vader's secret apprentice. -Tarfful -
All Lucas Arts gamers rejoice, four brand new game titles have been leaked according to TotalVideoGames.com and Rebelscum! There is also verification that three TFU characters will be in the upcoming game Soul Calibur IV! These are: *drum roll please* Vader, Yoda, and Vader's secret apprentice. The games that are announced are: (Note- if you are a die hard Lucas Arts fan you might want to sit down if you already aren't.) Battlefront III, Knights of the Old Republic III - said to be a Massively Multiplayer Online game, another LEGO Indiana Jones game, and The Clone Wars - a lightsaber based game for the Nintendo Wii. For more information you can go to Rebelscum or to TotalVideoGames for the full story. On another note, there is a lesson for all major video game companies/developers in this recent leak of information. And that is: never spontaneously lay-off 100 employee's who have knowledge of future products, because if you do something like this is bound to happen. Personally I can't wait for BF III, the BF series is one of my favorite video game series to date. What do you guys and gals think of this announcement/leak of information? -Tarfful

Tarfful replied to Clonecommando007's topic in Watto's Junkyard
It's finally up and running, this has got to be one of the (if not the) best SW Lego contests ever conceived! This is the contest that I would almost prefer coming in last place (4th) then first, great sponsors=great prizes. -Trafful -

Hey, it's way better than my title. (Eternal n00b) -Tarfful -
Here's my list of estimated and known prices for the Summer Clone Wars wave of sets: 7673: Magnagaurd fighter- 44.99USD 7674: V-19 Torrent- 54.99USD 7675: AT-TE- 89.99USD 7676: Republic Gunship- 119.99USD 7677: ? (Unidentified set number) 7678: Droid Gunship- Probably between 60-70USD, depending on how many figs, if any will be included with the set. 7679: TX-130s- Probably between 50-60USD, depending on who many figs will be included with the set; hopefully at least 3 Clones and a Jedi. 7680: Twilight- Probably between 50-60USD, depending on the figs that will be included with the set; remember the Twilight is like a bigger bulkier version of the B Wing. 7681: Homing Spider Droid- Probably between 30-40USD, depending on how many figs will be included; probably be something like the fig count from 7670. 10188: The Death Star- Probably be between 100-120USD, depending on how big it is and how many figs we get with the set; hopefully we'll get some DS Troopers and some Imperial Royal Guards. -Tarfful

What if we ask really nicely? -First off make up your mind! -Secondly, I agree that the AT-TE needs more troopers, but remember it's $30 cheaper then the RGS. Also, unless the rumors are true and we are getting two Phase 1 Pilots with the RGS, we are still only getting Cody and a grunt with the RGS which means it has the same amount of troops as the AT-TE. In this case, all my hopes rest with the possibility of a Phase 1 BP later this or next year. On another note, why does everyone insist on clogging up this topic with questions regarding stuff that was already answered a while back!? About half of this topic consists of questions about the sets that were already answered a while ago because the person either can't find the original post(s) that answered the question(s) or they're to lazy to look. Most of these questions could be answered if the Mods put the pricing info. and release dates on the front page. So, Mods could you guys do that? -Tarfful
